Can't autostart mysql on mavericks
I installed mysql using homebrew. Before installing Mavericks, I followed homebrew's instructions for autostarting mysql
launchctl load ~/Library/LaunchAgents/homebrew.mxcl.mysql.plist
Since installing mavericks, mysql does not autostart. I ran the command above again and I now get:
launchctl: Dubious ownership on file (skipping): /Users/teamone/Library/LaunchAgents/homebrew.mxcl.mysql.plist
nothing found to load
I must now manually run mysql.server stop each time I restart my computer. How can I fix this so mysql autoloads as before?

I am running version 10.7.5 on my MacBook Pro. can I upgrade directly to Mavericks or do I have to upgrade to Mountain Lion first, then Mavericks?
As long as your MacBook Pro is in the ML compatible list, http://www.apple.com/osx/specs it is compatible with Mavericks and you can go directly to Mavericks.

Can no longer boot into Mavericks 10.9.5
My problem is that I can no longer boot into Mavericks 10.9.5 on my mid-2012 Macbook Pro. The problem arose suddenly without any known major changes to my software or hardware. The booting process freezes with the apple visible and the circle below it spinning endlessly. Every several seconds, the display very briefly gets brighter, then the circle starts spinning again and the process repeats itself. It never gets to the user login screen.
Other than keeping various apps up to date, I don't recall any recent major operating system or other major software updates, nor have I made any recent hardware changes. I've searched a multitude of threads and and tried any number of fixes without success. Here's what I've tried so far (and probably a few more that I can't remember): (1) Repaired the startup disk with both Recovery HD -> Disk Utility and single-user mode -> /sbin/fsck -fy; (2) Repaired the startup disk permissions with Recovery HD -> Disk Utility; (3) Reloaded the Mavericks 10.9.5 operating system twice; (4) deleted /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow.plist; (5) reset PRAM and NVRAM; (6) booted with "D" pressed and ran the Apple hardware test, which ran for about 40 minutes and reported no problems; (7) tried booting from a bootable clone of Mavericks 10.9.5 on an external hard drive, which also failed at the same place with the apple showing and the circle below it spinning endlessly. ***Oddly, I am able to boot from a bootable clone of Mountain Lion on an external hard drive. It's Mavericks that won't boot.***
Here is the part of the system log the repeats itself over and over and seems to correlate with the repeated failed attempts to complete the booting process. Any help would be appreciated beyond words:

You got a prob I think, if you can boot a windows, MSconfig, startup options might restore the boot files.Only other thing is to try and either load a new windows and let it setup a boot file, or perhaps a win98 startup disk, and fdisk, then set active partiton, which will set an MBR. But that would leave a load of work to do, I think I'd opt for an install of XP, and let it repair existing installation, and make a new boot file.
Hope you don't need the info on disks. If you do, I would install another HDD, load XP, then copy original Disk to save place.
Good luck

/var/lib/mysql for more information.
You can try to start the mysqld daemon with:
shell> /usr/bin/mysqld --skip-grant &
and use the command line tool /usr/bin/mysql
to connect to the mysql database and look at the grant tables:
shell> /usr/bin/mysql -u root mysql
mysql> show tables
Try 'mysqld --help' if you have problems with paths. Using --log
gives you a log in /var/lib/mysql that may be helpful.

62 # To configure this host as a replication slave, you can choose between

66 # the syntax is:
67 #
68 # CHANGE MASTER TO MASTER_HOST=<host>, MASTER_PORT=<port>,
69 # MASTER_USER=<user>, MASTER_PASSWORD=<password> ;
70 #
71 # where you replace <host>, <user>, <password> by quoted strings and

75 #
76 # CHANGE MASTER TO MASTER_HOST='125.564.12.1', MASTER_PORT=3306,
77 # MASTER_USER='joe', MASTER_PASSWORD='secret';
78 #
79 # OR
80 #
81 # 2) Set the variables below. However, in case you choose this method, then
82 # start replication for the first time (even unsuccessfully, for example
83 # if you mistyped the password in master-password and the slave fails to
84 # connect), the slave will create a master.info file, and any later
85 # change in this file to the variables' values below will be ignored and
86 # overridden by the content of the master.info file, unless you shutdown
87 # the slave server, delete master.info and restart the slaver server.
88 # For that reason, you may want to leave the lines below untouched
89 # (commented) and instead use CHANGE MASTER TO (see above)

How can I choose mySQL(4/5) with my mother tongue display fine?
if I choose mySQL(
3) in CF
8 administrator > Data & Services > Data Sources
and add the code
"useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=euc-kr" in Connection
String,
it displays my mother tongue fine.
if I choose mySQL(
4/5) in CF
8 administrator > Data & Services > Data Sources,
I can't add the code
""useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=euc-kr" in Connection
String
because it causes Connection verification failed for data
source.
If I choose mySQL(
4/5) in CF
8 administrator > Data & Services > Data Sources,
and not to add the code
"useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=euc-kr" in Connection
String,
It displays my mother tongue broekn.
How can I choose mySQL(4/5) with my mother tongue display
fine?in MySQL the correct name for your encoding is euckr (note:
no dash)
reference: mysql manual chapter 10.9
change your connection string to:
useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=euckr

I'm using php 5.2.0-1, lighttpd 1.4.12-1, mysql 5.0.26-1, libmysqlclient 5.0.26-1 and php-cgi 5.1.6-1 on server and phpMyAdmin says that php can't load mysql module, other websites doesn't have any connection to mysql database too. I've checked php.ini - mysql.so and mysqli.so is uncommented. Only one thing helps - reverting to php 5.1.6-2.

modify the version, and built it yourself.
Compiled, installed and it works Thanks -

I can't seem to install Mavericks to my mac and my MacBook meet all the Mac requirements...
If you are trying to see if you can track your mac but nothing comes up, be sure the mac is connected to wifi, not just using ethernet cable to a modem.
