Can't backup iCloud on iPhone

Iphone won't backup iCloud. Just talked to support and we backed up to iTunes only and restored and still won't backup on iPhone. When I try to reset my "data and settings" on iCloud.com, it gives me an error. Can my iCloud account get totally corrupted? How do I fix?

If you attempted to backup your phone when it was still restored and setup as new and it works and backs up - it would be your phone that has a problem and not icloud. If it is unable to backup when setup as new to your icloud account that would be something on their end and they need to look into that.

Unfortunately, you will not be able to access an iCloud serivces through Safari on an iOS device at this time. However, you will need to access these services a different way as they are built into the iOS. I am not sure which feature you are attempting to access, but here is some information that you will find helpful.

Can my backup of my IPHONE 4 ver 7.1.2 be used to restore back to my new IPHONE 6 plus IOS 8?

I will be purchasing the new IPHONE 6 plus tomorrow.
Can my Iphone 4 (not s) be backed up under IOS 7.1.2 and be restored to my new IPHONE 6 plus?
Or do I need to backup IPHONE 4
Upgrade to IOS 8
Backup IPHONE 4 with IOS 8
then restore IPHONE 6+ from the last backup of the IPHONE 4 IOS backup?

I just sold my iPhone 5s and waiting 4 weeks now for my iPhone 6+
I took out my old iPhone 4 and tried to restore it from a backup i had just created a few hours ago on my 5s (iOS8) and the option was greyed out.
I could only see backups from a year back !
You cant restore an iPhone 4 with iOS 7.1.2 from a backup created on iOS 8 !!!!

iCloud syncs my contacts, calendars and reminders, but i have to setup all the rest of the settings manually! I have 7 email accounts, mix of gmail, hotrmail, yahoo, 2 exchange, others, etc. lots of personalized settings, Apps that i need to download again and arrange in folders like before, ......big hassle!!!

Do you have iCloud turned on. This is something that can show up under those circumstances. Try cycling iCloud off/on and it should fix it.

I tried to backup my iphone, my pc did not have the storage, and I don't know how to find the select for external HDD. I dont know if this is possible to backup to external drive. I lost some of my phone contacts and now the contact list is in some alphabetical order that I find difficult to read.

You just have to find the backup file on your computer and moveor copy the file to where you want it but remember if you want to restore from that backup itunes needs to be able to find it so you will need to make sure it is in its orginal location

Permanent photo backup - iCloud, iPad, iPhone

Hello.
I just purchased 200GB plan on iCloud.
I thought it would be the easiest way to backup the photos on my iPad Air and iPhone 5.
Now while browsing trough some tutorials on the web - every site is saying that iCloud is not a photo backup solution - it only stores 1000 photos and deletes them after 30 days.
Is this true? Then why would anybody need so large iCloud plans?

What you're referring to is Photo Stream, which only stored 1000 of the most recent photos. With iCloud Photo Library, you can now permanently store your photos and videos on iCloud and sync them across devices. It's still in BETA though, so it has some quirks and limitations. With iOS 8.1, you can go into your iCloud settings and enable it. If you do that, it will replace your camera roll with the iCloud Photo Library and begin uploading ALL of your photos and videos to iCloud. All of these uploads will count towards your photo storage plan, but they will be permanent, as opposed to Photo Stream. As well as syncing across devices, you can also view them on the web at iCloud.com. However, the Mac Photos app will not come out until some time in 2015, so right now there are limitations to what you can do with your photos.

Duh-o, found the answer to my own question. Just scroll to the bottom of the prefs pane for iCloud (Settings-iCloud) and select "Delete Account". You can then enter the correct information.
What can't be answered is why entering the correct account info at set-up failed on 3 phones so far in our family. For all 3 of these I'm having to take the "delete account" route.

Can't backup iCloud because old email address

i have updated my email address on my apple id. now when I try to back up my iPhone 5 on iCloud it reverts to my previous email address. It won't accept my old password or my new password..so I can't delete the account! Please can anybody help?

If your phone is signed into an old iCloud ID and you are trying to change it to an updated version of the ID, do the following:
Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).

TS4002 Can't access iCloud from iPhone/iPad

I cant access my iCloud account from iPhone or iPad, but I CAN access it from both my MacBook and my pc.
I've updated iTunes, and iOS 5, and each time I go to iCloud.com- it brings me to the page that reads the prompt; "set up iCloud on this device" well, I have followed the directions from the prompt over and over, and I can't seem to be able to access the screen with the prompts; "mail, "calendar," "iWork," and "find your iPhone."
I've already checked my settings and confirmed my username/pass work are correct

On an iOS device, you cannot go to icloud.com with safari (you can using a computer). You must use the various apps (like mail, Calendar, Contacts) to access the data the iCloud syncs.

How can I eliminate Icloud from iphone

I did an upgrade (or down grade) to 5 os, and get into Icloud at the same time. Now I have triplicate and or cuatruplicate contact, Inclusive I did lost some aplication what I have bougth, I thougth I can get back to the previus version, but unstead I will need to get back to a brand new Iphone condition (or at least tha's what i understand) an isnstall al the apps again and if you read the instruction on Itunes, they will install the latest version *** soon as I restore the OS, So how its posible that this people think that i will do all this to get again the same version that is causing me this trouble,? any help will be apreciate. Make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account. Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox. If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

Hello all, I could use some help with my iPhone 4, I hope this is the best place to ask!
The Problem:
I want to do a full backup of my iphone to either itunes or to icloud. Unfortunately the iphone got wet and isn’t working properly. The phone turns on and still works, but the touch screen no longer works. I have a passcode lock on the phone so iTunes will not allow me to backup it up until I type in the passcode (which I cannot physically do). WiFi had been turned off before it got wet so it won’t connect to any known WiFi networks either to backup automatically to iCloud.
What happened:
I had been travelling for 6 months and went tubing on a river with my iphone in a dry bag. Unfortunately the dry bag failed and filled with water ruining my iphone.
What I’d like to do:
It’s an old phone and I was planning on buying a new iPhone anyway. I would love to do a full backup to either iCloud or to my computer so when I get a new iPhone I don’t lose anything. I’ve already connected it to my PC and downloaded all the photos and videos off the phone so at least I haven’t lost that, but I would like to be able to recover all the text messages, WhatsApp messages and notes I had created during my 6 months of travel.
The last time it was backed up to my pc or to icloud was in April, so there are 6 months worth of very meaningful data I would love to keep to remind me of my travels!

iTunes recognizes the phone just now and I tried upgrading the phone to iOS7 in the hopes that it would first backup and then upgrade. Unfortunately all that happened is the phone upgraded to iOS7, but it didn’t backup to iTunes. Now the phone is stuck at the iOS7 welcome screen and I can’t do anything else with it.
Any ideas or tips would be welcome!
NOTE: This is NOT a jailbroken iPhone.

The Apple store agreed to give me a new iPhone 4 as a warranty replacement for $150 (I travel a lot and I have a factory unlocked phone, so this is still worth it for me). But before I trade it in, I would like to make sure all my data is backed up on the device first.
When I try and restore the phone now on iTunes, it says I have to turn off Find My iPhone on the phone first before I can restore it. Now since I can't use the screen I can't really do that.
So how do I completely wipe the iPhone???
