Can't backup iphone 6

I connected a new iphone 6 and restored from iphone 4 backup using USB. all work normally but when I'm trying to back the ipohone 6 (using USB) I get error message that it can't backup as error accoured.
any idea?

Since it sounds like you have done all the troublehsooting in the article, so I would use the info at the bottom of it to contact support for the device:
If you can't back up or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod using iTunes
If you tried these steps and see the message again, contact Apple Support or your wireless carrier (if you're using an iPhone).

    Hello Terri0125,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!
You have a couple of options here. First you can use this article to manage your iCloud storage:
    iCloud: Managing your iCloud storage

You can manage the storage either from your device, or from a computer. Whichever is more convenient for you.
You can also backup your device to iTunes for a local backup if you want.

  • How can I backup iphone contacts/email/addresses and transfer them to PC ea

Hey,guys!!!i have one quick question about my iphone contact backup ...
I have an iphone that has all my contacts stored in it.... (phone numbers, email, addresses, etc...) and I recently
bought an new computer, but I don't have any of this information stored in it.
My question is, how can I sync my iphone with to my PC without erasing the info in the iphone. I don't want my system
to think that since the PC is empty it should erase every contact in the iphone. I just want to transfer everything
from iphone and have a copy on PC,especially the contacts.
    Appreciated your early reply.

Maybe you should go Discussion-Apple to look for what is iTunes user directions about how to backup your iphone.
Other than there are also a tool called Contacts Tool search iphone applications, and it will help u a lot if u want to transfer the contacts to computer.Like Out2003 or Outlook2007...
    Outlook 2003:
    1. In Outlook, choose Tools > Options.
    2. Click Other and then click Advanced Options.
    3. Select COM add-ins and select the iTunes sync add-in and click OK.
    4. Click Apply and then continue with the steps below.
    Outlook 2007:
    1. In Outlook, choose Tools > Trust Center.
    2. In the Categories pane, click Add-ins.
    3. In the Details pane, locate the iTunes add-in in the "Inactive Application Add-ins" list.
    4. In the Manage box, click COM Add-ins, and then click Go.
    5. In the COM Add-Ins dialog box, select the iTunes sync add-in.
    6. Click OK.
Besides,if you are always frustrated the directions of iTunes and Outlook.I want to give your advice to try out other professional transfer contact software. As far as i concerned, you can download the [trail version|http://hotdownloads.com/trialware/download/Downloadtanseeiphonecontact_.exe?item=13181-12&affiliate=575053&sscoupon=SOFT-QSTG] of [Tansee iPhone Transfer Contact|http://www.softwarebbs.com/wiki/TanseeiPhone_TransferContact] for free, which can help you back up your iPhone contacts along with contact photos to computer as a file (either txt or antc).
Hope you have a wonderful time.

  • ITunes 10 Can't backup iphone 4

iPhone was set up at a Verizon store and not on my computer. I need to update the operating system. First I want to backup the existing phone. When I plug the phone in iTunes says "This computer has previously been synced with an iPhone or another iOS device.
    Set Up as new phone.
Restore from the backup of (some other person)
I figure I have to set it up as a new phone, but I want to back it up first.
I tried right-clicking and option clicking the device in the left side of iTunes but there was no backup option. I tried the option
    Here https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2661779?start=0&tstart=0
to do some commands in the terminal but it didn't work.
Any ideas how I can back this phone up before I restore it. The main thing the user is concerned about are the text messages on the phone.
I would feel better having a backup, as it is not my phone.

I tried this and it didn't work for me. All files show as broken when zipped out.
What files? How are you downloading this update and where are these "broken files" you mention?
To install iTunes 10.5.2 you only need to click on Help/Check for Updates within iTunes. The download will be handled by iTunes (effectively) without any intervention from you. There should be nothing for you to unzip.

  • Can't backup iPhone, says that my current backup is corrupt

I am trying to back up my iPhone but when I connect to iTunes and try to back it up I get the following error: 'iTunes could not back up the iPhone "my phone name? because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone. Delete the backup for this iPhone, then try again.'
I don't have a backup for this phone anywhere.  I checked in the hidden directory that iTunes keeps the backups in and there aren't any bacups in there at all.  I don't have any backups on iCloud either.  There aren't any 3rd party utilities on the phone either.
I've read many of the tech bulletins on this type of problem and none of them have been able to address the issue.  Because of this I can't upgrade the OS, sync files/music, or (of course) back up my phone.
    Anyone have any suggestions?

  • Computer crashed can't backup iphone, HELP

OK, before people start posting on how could you do that and you always need to this or that's not apple's fault..I know, I know.
My computer crashed all together, didn't bother replacing the hard drive because it was time for a new one. It took some time to pick out the one I wanted and a few days prior to bringing my new laptop home, my iphone went swimming in a glass of water. The iphone was fried and I lost everything on it. My issue and question is now that I have a crashed hard drive which data can not be accessed and a soaked crashed iphone, is there a way to retreive my backups? I did routinely backup/sync my iphone on itunes, I never used a third party program for backup just itunes. I had heard that apple will do a one time download of my stored data back onto itunes on my new laptop which I can then authorize and sync to my new iphone???? Please help, I had over three years of pictures, sms, notes, songs, videos, and contacts..(honestly music/video isn't as much of a concern as the rest). Thanks for you help.

If you could retrieve the backup files from the hard drive you say failed, you might be able to retrieve those items by restoring from it.  Without the backup that is on your dead hard drive, there is NO WAY to magically get this stuff back.  THE BACKUP ONLY EXISTS on that hard drive. NOT in the cloud.  If you don't have access to the physical backup files created the last time you synced and backed up with iTunes, then there is no way to get it back.

  • Can't backup iPhone 5 on macbook pro

I have an iPhone 5 running version 7.1.1. I have always backed it up to my MacBook Pro running Mavericks 10.9.3. I have iTunes version 11.2.2. I connect my phone to my computer and it freezes as it gets to step 7, backing up photos. I have to force quit and it appears that nothing's been backed up. Tried reducing the number of photos and there was no difference.
    Any ideas?

Of course this worked. Always the first thing I know to do. Embarrassed! I restarted both the computer and the phone and it worked fine. Thanks

  • Back up error -19, can't backup iPhone 3gs or upgrade to OS4.

When my iPhone is connected and begins to sync it pops up saying "MobileBackup has stopped working." iTunes then displays a window saying "iTunes could not back up the iPhone because the back up session failed."
When attempting to upgrade to OS4 it extracts the software, then has the same error again when trying to back up. It's a back up error -19.
When right clicking on the iPhone name on the left panel, it displays "MobileDeviceHelper has stopped working".
I have tried uninstalling & reinstalling everything with no success, and have the latest version of iTunes. I discovered though that by ignoring the errors I am still able to transfer data onto the iPhone and also applications from the phone into iTunes.
    Please help?

  • Can't backup b/c says iphone disconnects

I can't backup b/c get error message 1/2 way during backup that says "can't backup iphone disconnects"  what do I do ?  thanks

Connect the phone to a USB port directly on your computer, not to a USB hub. And if it is a desktop or tower computer use a port on the back of the computer, not on the front (front ports frequently are an internal hub).

  • How can I backup all my apps and contains in my iPhone to iCloud?

I was trying to backup my iPhone to iCloud through my laptop. It was backing-up normally at first, but then, it stopped for a sudden. I retried again but its not been backup. I tried again for a several times and I did check my iCloud storage and it's nothing. It only appeared "Your iPhone has never been backed up to iCloud". I checked all my iPhone setting and as well as my laptop; it's all fine, nothing is wrong with it. But I just can't backup my iPhone to the iCloud.

Check the apps and features below the settings > iCloud
features that are activated on this list, they will be backed-up.

The phone will automatically re-appear when it connects to the Internet. However, don't get your hopes up, as thieves know this & will make sure your phone never re-connects so you can locate it.

  • Can I backup two devices (with different documents) to one iCloud account?  For example: iPad and iPhone, not everything is synced between the two, but I would like to backup each (seperately in the cloud), is this possible?

    Hello Apple Community,
Can I backup two devices (with different documents) to one iCloud account?
For example: iPad Air and iPhone 5, not everything is synced between the two, but I would like to backup each (seperately in the cloud).  Is this possible?
This way when I change from an old ipad to a new, I can restore with the ipad backup, and when I change from an old iphone to a new, I can restore from the
    iphone backup.
    Thank you in advance!

Terminology check here. Do you really mean a "CD"?  There's a difference in Cloud behavior between content from a physical CD you ripped (which only has Cloud content if you have iTunes Match) and an "album" you bought from the iTunes Store.
    Read references for Home Sharing.
iTunes: How to share music and video - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2688 - about Music Sharing and Home Sharing
Home Sharing Support page - http://www.apple.com/support/homesharing/
iOS: Setting up Home Sharing on your device - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4557 - "With Home Sharing in iOS 4.3 or later, you can stream your entire iTunes library over your home Wi-Fi network from your Mac or PC right to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch."
The above can get pretty complicated.  You are probably best off by syncing both devices to a single library and/or updating the libraries on both computers to have the same content.

  • I want to upgrade iOS from 5 to 6, but when I go to synch everything in preparation, it tells me I will lose all my stuff on the iPhone and iPad which is unique.  How can I backup or do a "real synch" (both sides have same data) and then upgrade?

You should really read the manual.
"How do you restore from backup? "
Restore.  When given the choice, choose to use backup.
"And how can I check to see if the pics and videos are on my computer somewhere first??"
They would only be where you put them.  What program did you use to import them?  Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all.  You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer.

I didn't think it would act up this bad before I even had it for a year. Please help.

Your phone needs more storage, buying storage on iCloud.com doesn't change that.
Delete some of the stuff off of your phone, it's full.
