Can't broadcast - error -3285

I have a Darwin streaming server running under OSX 10.2. The server runs well and I'm really pleased with the quality of the H264 movies its serving.
The issue is that I cannot broadcast to it from a 10.4 powerbook.
I have broadcaster 1.5.1 and when I try to connect, I am asked to authenticate. I enter the ID and PW (if i get this wrong, it asks again) and then it comes back pretty quickly after saying Prerolling with Broadcaster Error -3285.
I can't find any reference to this error in the scant documentation I can find and Its really bugging me. Any ideas??

Not sure what the error code means. You may want to search apple's knowledge base.
However, in reply to your question, no you do not need a server to broadcast from one computer to another single computer.
QTSS or DSS is required when you need to broadcast to an audience / large number of clients.

  • Quicktime Broadcaster Error -3285

Hey guys I need help. I have a Xserve and I woul like to use Quicktime Streaming, I set up the server but when go on Quicktime Broadcaster (laptop Macbook pro) and try to streaming over Automatic Unicast (announce) the software say to me ERROR 3285. Some one to know which is the best procedure.
oopps When I use the Quicktime broadcaster on Unicast and i send to server the SDP it work

I can stream all day long when I do pro webcasts on my different clients networks. But when I try to stream from home, I get Error -3285 every 10 minutes. Is it because of my Comcast cablemodem (aka Comcrash)? Does anyone know if Comcast has some sort of filter that cuts off people uploading (in my case streaming video into Secondlife)?

  • Quicktime-no sound & Broadcaster Error - Can't Open Handler (-2004)

Greetings - I made the following post in the Tiger forum and after 3 days have received no response. Hopefully I'll have better luck here. Thanks in advance.
    10.4.7
    MacbookPro Intel Core Duo
    Suddenly some problems.
My Fireworks 8 will no longer open. I get a Macromedia error pop-up stating "A problem was detected with your application. Please reinstall software to correct the problem."
    So I reinstall.
Same problem! Reinstallation does not fix.
Also, I now have no sound with Quicktime. All other system sounds are fine, DVD player, sound applications like Peak. But Quicktime is silent.
Lastly - my Quicktime Broadcaster is no longer working.
Video is no longer appearing in the source preview. (although I can confirm that the camera is working when I click on options for "built in iSight." I DO see video in the "Video Adjustments" window.
Futhermore, if I click on "broadcast" I get this error "Broadcaster Error - Can't Open Handler (-2004)
    Argghhh.
    Any suggestions for me?
    Thanks!

I doubt it is corrupt you could try to delete it but that will probably cause a problem with QT. What is the turn of events that took you to the registry?
This is a permissions issue. What account originally installed QT? Are you an administrator account? You need to take Full Control or Ownership of the item in the registry or QT with a administrator account. Whatever account you're using, now, either is not an administrator account or it is being denied permissions. At worse I would think you might have to create another administrator account to take ownership and full control. There are at least 2 on the computer now.

  • Broadcast - ERROR max no of 100 conversations exceeded

We've scheduled 3 reports to email PDF's to approx 400 users but the BEx broadcaster only managed to send out about 80 emails. in the various logs and traces I can see and error that states "ERROR max no of 100 conversations exceeded".
I can find various notes about this refering to various sytstem parameters but as far as I can tell our parametrs are set correctly e.g.
    gw/max_conn 500
    gw/max_sys 300
    gw/max_overflow_size 10000000
    gw/max_shm_req 50
    rdisp/tm_max_no 200
    rdisp/max_comm_entries 500
As I understand it from the notes we should increase the environment variable CPIC_MAX_CONV. However the note I'm looking at (316877) states that this environment variable is on the ITS server but from talking to our Basis support the version of netweaver we are running doesnt have an ITS server?? Dont really know what all that means. Any ideas on that one or about the error message as a whole would be greatly appreciated.
If it's any help I can also see in SM21 that at the time of broadcasting the users got the error:
    > Conversation ID: 33568780
    > CPI-C function: CMSEND(SAP)
Communication error, CPIC return code 017, SAP return code 450
Thren in the broadcast log via RSRD_LOG the users have the error:
Java communication error: Error when opening an RFC connection RSBOLAP017
    Thanks

    Welcome to the discussions,
Error 13 and 14: These errors are typically resolved by performing one of more of the steps listed below:
Perform USB isolation troubleshooting, including a different USB port directly on the computer.
Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
Try a different USB 30-pin dock connector cable.
    [Eliminate third-party security software conflicts|http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3125]
There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your Registry. If your default packet size is set incorrectly it can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet size modification for assistance.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.

  • How can we trigger error message in BADI PARTNER_UPDATE

    Hi All,

Is it using message service class instance of message statement (which should not be used, as that is for GUI messages) or using collect FM or by adding to genil message class container.
Please try different approaches and see what works for you.
    Thanks,
    Rohit

  • How can I resolve error code -54 in iTunes? I am using the latest iTunes. No new updates are available.

How can I resolve error code -54 in iTunes? I am using the latest iTunes. No new updates are available. I'm using iTunes 11.3 on a MacBook Pro, OS X 10.6.8. I can't save my library in iTunes, the message just keeps popping up.

From an OS9 reference, error -54 is a software lock on a file or a permissions error. (Although there is no formal list of OSX error code some of the old codes still apply to OSX .)
First, try simply restarting your computer.
Try quitting iTunes, then deleting the .xml (not .itl !) version of the library file in the iTunes folder (iTunes will generate a new one).
iTunes Library cannot be saved (Error -54) - https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1912814 - various things to try.
Unknown error (-54) while syncing ipod - https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1082953 - problem was locked files
Why does iTunes keep showing a -54 error when I sync my iPad? - https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3727114
Error -54 possibly related to Touch Copy - https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3727114 - cleared by deleting preferences on iPad.

When i want to download an app in app store give me an error number and i could not down load.how i can solve this error number?

    Hi Amir.09395340646,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
What app are you trying to download? Is it iPhoto for iOS?  What error message are you receiving? The first thing I would suggest is to log out of your iTunes Store account on your iPhone. Then restart the device and log in again.
iOS: Changing the signed-in iTunes Store Apple ID account
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1311?viewlocale=en_US
If the above did not resolve your issue, follow the troubleshooting steps in the article below.
The link includes the complete details and screenshots, but I've highlighted a few points for you:
Can't connect to the iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1368
    - Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking on Check for Update in your device's Summary page in iTunes.
    - Check and verify that you are in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you are on a 3G capable device, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
    - Check to make sure you have an active internet connection. You can check the User Guide for your device for help with connecting to the internet.
    - Check to make sure other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the internet.
    - Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router
    - If the issue still persists see, iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections or iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections.
I hope this information helps ....

  • Photoshop CS4 for Mac What can cause the error: Plug-in failed to load - NO VERSION

With Photoshop CS4 for Mac I install the Kodak Plug-in DIGITAL GEM Airbrush Professional v2.1.0. When Photoshop starts I get an error:
    Plug-ins that failed to load:
DIGITAL GEM Airbrush Professional v2.1.0 NO VERSION -  - from the file “DigitalAIRProv2.plugin”Flash:
       Connections
       Kuler
This plug-in works fine on my Mac Pro with Photoshop CS4 and OS 10.6 but fails on a new Macbook Air.
Reinstalling the plug-in did not make any difference. What can cause this error?

Thanks Chris, That was my first thought too but this same plug-in works on another installation of CS4. This is a Mac installation and the plug-in is Universal so it should work. Is there any other possible cause for this error? Would Photoshop refuse to load a plug-in in a low memory situation?
Also, The Flash extensions:Connections and Kuler are working OK, I just copied a little more out of the System Info report than I needed to.

  • How can I handel errors in .ksh file

    Hi All
I am writing a .ksh file which will create FTP a file to the ftp location ..
My file looks like this :-
    cd ${RUNTIME}
    NOW=$(date +"%y%m%d%H%M%S")
    ftp -i -n -v ${TEST_TP_SERVER} <<END
    user $TEST_TP_USER_ID $TEST_TP_USER_PWD
    lcd ${OUTDIR}
    put "TEST.txt" "$NOW.ABC"
    quit
    END
My question is how can I handel errors here in this file . If something happens after cd ${RUNTIME} line then I can write like this :
if [ "$?" -ne "0" ]; then echo "Can not connect , wrong user name / password " exit 1 fi
But after ftp -i -n -v ${TEST_TP_SERVER} <<END line I cant write the same . So can anyone please tell me how can I write error handling part after FTP command ?

Moreover, I need to send that page as a whole by email, so even if the white spaces between parts of picture
could be removed during printing, it wouldn't be a solution =(
You can email the new PDF document.
