Can't brows or open links

I wonder whether someone might be able to advise. I've had my Blackberry Curve 9360 less than a month. This weekend the browser stopped working and I'm unable to open links on e-mails that have been sent to me etc. when I click on a link it just doesn't do anything. Similarly, the "homepage" on my browser seems to be missing. I just have a blank white page with a seach box in blue at the top. However, when I type a seach in and return it doesn't do anything. The blue "loading" line running across the bottom of the search box seems to be permanently there, at it's fullest. It's almost as if it's frozen. What can I do??? p.s. I've successfully been able to connect my phone to my wi-fi service, but this doesn't seem to make any difference. I've done the "turn the phone off and back on again" trick.

Have you done a hard reset by doing a battery pull? I don't know if turning it off and on will fix this issue for you.

I can't seem to open links in a new tab using the scroll-click in my mouse anymore.

I've been able to open new tabs clicking the mouse wheel without a problem for as long as I can remember. Today, it just doesn't work, I updated firefox to v8 yesterday and since then it didn't work. I just installed the v9 in beta, in the hopes that it would work, but it doesn't.
Using control+click does work, and everything else works smoothly, but middle clicking to open new tabs does not.

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?

"open links behind mail" feature doesn't work

Since migrating to Yosemite, I can no longer use "open links behind mail" feature.
The links do open directly to Safari or Chrome on top of mail.
But the "Open links behind mail" won't launch, regardless if the browser is open or not. I see it, it clicks, but nada... nothing ;-(
This feature always worked before migrating to Yosemite.
Any suggestions?

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

Opening links (maybe related to mac "newbe" query...)

Hello. I can't seem to open links, especially pdf file from within webpages and have the text big enough to read... the browser window is full screen maximized but file is shown therein as the whole page. when this happens in other applications there is always an option to change to zoom but i can't find this feature in safari..

Open links behind mail

Since migrating to Yosemite, I can no longer use "open links behind mail" feature. Apparently this is a bug and I see complaints about it going back to Oct 2013 at least. Does anyone know if Apple EVER fixed this problem?

No problem. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. I thought that maybe the problem was a missing shortcut which I was unaware of. I have the contextual menu, and it works. If there was a shortcut, I didn't have it and thought that maybe that was what everybody is having a problem with.
Do you have the contextual menu item? Or does it just not work? I've seen some posts where the contextual menu is missing altogether.

Outlook keeps opening links in Internet Explorer, regardless of Firefox being the default browser

I have Firefox 4.0.1 running on a Windows 7, 64-bit computer. I have Internet Explorer 9.0.8112.16421 installed as well.
I use Outlook here at work and have Outlook version 14.0.5128.5000 installed, which is part of Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010.
I have tried to set Firefox as the default browser on the computer. When I go to Start->Default programs, Firefox is set to default. When I open Firefox and check in settings, it says it is currently the default browser. I have tried to set IE as the default, then switch back to Firefox etc. But still regardless of this, Outlook opens all links in emails in Internet Explorer.
It is very annoying as IE is a lot slower than Firefox, especially when I already have Firefox runnint and Outlook needs to start a new session of IE every time I open a link.
Does anyone know how I can force Outlook to open links in Firefox when Firefox is already the default browser on the computer but Outlook still opens links in IE?

I have the same problem (roughly) - I have PDF hyperlinks in an Excel spreadsheet and, when clicked, instead of them opening directly in Acrobat (or via Firefox, my default browser), they open via IE. Regular HTML links in the Excel spreadsheet open in Firefox.
I have enabled the '''Block PDF files' access to all web sites''' option under ''Trust Manager'' category in the Adobe Reader ''Preferences'' tab.
I have also disabled the '''Adobe PDF Link Helper''' Extension in the ''Manage Add-ons'' tab in IE.

I can't open links in firefox. I must drag them to the tool bar or right click and open in a new page

I am running Vista and installed a new version of firefox yesterday plus I messed around with trying to block some obnoxious advertising pop up windows. Now I can't open links and must drag them to the browser bar or right click and "open in a new window". How do I fix this? I tried to restart Firefox but it didn't help. thanks!

Can't open links in pdf file 9.3.2

I have installed Reader 9.3.2 and all of the sudden I can't open links within a pdf file. I get a block message and it doesn't give me the option to choose Allow. When I go to Edit > Preferences > Trust Manager > Settings everything is grayed out. I had to revert back to 9.3.1 for it to work again. Does anyone know the fix for this. Our 9.3.2 install was streamlined into a 9.3.0 msi package and then installed through a GPO.

same problem here.. but I figured it out.. Believe it or not, if you just wait 5-10min it will come up. I also "End-Task" on some exe that start or had "3D"in the name and after that adobe would come up fast when opening pdf's. Think you need to disable some of the internet related items under preferences.

Can't open links in Skype, WLM nor saved HTML (Firefox won't respond)

"I can't open links in Skype chat windows when having a Firefox session running in the background, it just flashes the window borders. If i close Firefox and leftclick on the links Firefox automatically opens the link but not while having a session running in the background. Strange thing while having clicked the link and started a new Firefox session it opens the tabs as usual while clicking the links the next few times but closing Firefox again and restarting it and then click on links in Skype window, it doesn't respond. I see there is no answer for the problem that guy have had and I have the same problem - links from skype and from windows live mail won't open and there's more - FF doesn't open html files that are saved to pc, even thou I just saved em, but when I click on em happens nothing and when I rightclick and choose open with FF happens nothing.
It worked for couple of weeks with no problem and suddenly today links just make skype flash exactly as in christianhbergs description and in windows live mail they are becoming purple but firefox doesn't react.
as soon as I make IE as my default - links are working, but not with firefox.
So I assume the problem is in firefox (not in skype or WLM nor in Win8)
(running Win8 and FF25.0)

How can I force Firefox to override javascript when opening links with ctrl+click?

There are certain sites that always open up a link in the active window despite said links being opened by ctrl+clicking it. Basically what happens is that a java script on the site forces the active window to load the link while at the same time Firefox follows the ctrl+click command and loads it in a new tab. You end up with two tabs with the same information and always have to go back in your original tab to be able to open other links.
Usually you can open the link the way you want by right-clicking and selecting 'Open Link in New Tab' but for some reason ctrl+click is treated as if it was a regular click. How can I stop this from happening and force Firefox to ONLY load the new tab?
This problem is not specific to the version of Firefox I'm using or the operating system, but seems to be caused by java script on the site. Disabling java scripts makes the problem go away but sometimes it also disables the sites.

If you're trying to protect your browser from hackers, I'd recommend setting up a master password for your saved passwords. Other than that, your anti-virus and firewall are responsible for keeping your computer safe.
If you're trying to protect your browser from someone else (i.e. somebody who can physically use the computer) just lock your entire computer with a password. If someone else has to use it, you could try letting them use the guest account.

How can I make "Open Link in New Tab" open the new tab in the same window, not a different window?

When I Ctrl-click a link and choose "Open Link in New Tab" it chooses to open the new tab in a different window (one that's already open) rather than opening the new tab in the same window. Even though the other window is minimized, it automatically gets restored and placed on top of the window I was in. This interferes with my context, forcing me to minimize the window again to get back to the one I was in before. I want the new tab to open in the same window, so I can still see the tab I was in. Some links seem to have the "Open Link in New Tab" behavior automatically, so I never know when I'm going to get thrown out of my current window. Very annoying.

If you have a mouse with a scroll button then try to middle click the link to open the link in a new tab.
It is also possible that the links use onclick JavaScript instead of a href to specify the action.

TS3899 All of a sudden, I can't open links in my emails. Not just yahoo, but others as well.

For the last 2 or 3 weeks, I haven't been able to open links in my emails. This includes personal & business accounts. One is Yahoo & the other is Outlook Exchange. I've never had any problem before. It's only on the IPad. I have 2 other tablets not IPads, a Samsung smartphone, & I have no problem on them. I can't think of anything I've changed that would cause the problem. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem is and how I can fix it?
