Can't browse internet on windows phone

I Have an HTC One M8 windows phone.  I noticed that I can't browse the internet or send/receive email when it's in either 3G or 4G mode only.  If there's wi-fi present - no problem.

Have you tried reseating the SIM card? Turn off the phone and remove the SIM card for a few minutes and reassemble and reboot.

  • Browser video stream in internet explorer - Windows phone 8.1

I want to create a webpage that can stream a LIVE video broadcast. And I want it to work with Internet explorer in windows phone 8.1.
    Is this possible?
I was thinking about using jwplayer but I don't think it works with Windows Phone
    any ideas?

    Hello,
Are you writing an app using the WebView or just creating a web page to be displayed in IE on the phone?
The WebView hosts IE so this answer should work for you either way but... The WebView supports the HTML 5 "video" tag. The platform supports a limited number of streaming formats natively including Microsoft's propriety implementation of RTSP and
RTSP over HTTP. If the video source is being streamed in either of these formats you can simply point the "video" tag at the server and you should be good to go.
If you want to support a different streaming protocol such as HLS or DASH you will need to create or find a 3rd party
Media Source Extensions plug in for the "video" tag that supports the protocol that you are using on the server. If you are severing Microsoft's Smooth Streaming content you may be able to use the
Smooth Streaming Client SDK for Windows Phone 8.1 although I'm not sure if the HTML5 support is available outside of a native HTML5 app.
    I hope this helps,

  • How to open a web browser from an windows phone app

    Hi everyone,
I am pretty new to Windows Phone 7, and now what I am trying to do is to create a simple app. When a user click to start this app, a browser will open and show the content of a webpage from a specific address.
I tried to use a webbrowser object, but it seems like that doesn't sport cookies. So I need my app to open a real web browser (maybe IE mobile) to do the job.
    Thank you.

copying from stackoverflow: "If you want to embed a browser window inside your application then use  the WebBrowser control.  Add an instance of the WebBrowser control to  your form then you can reference it in code using the name you
give  it.  (Default name is "webBrowser1")"

  • Can't browse anything in Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1

    Hi,
Need your help and expertise. Suddenly, i can't browse anything in my Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 with IIS7. I tried already three(3) different browsers (IE8, Firefox & Chrome). Before, i can browse (using IE8 & Firefox) both private (LAN) and public
(Internet) websites be it via ip address or domain name without any issues whatsoever. In fact, i can't even access the local http website (status in IIS7 is Started) my server is hosting.
The only problem occured just yesterday in my server was drive C: got disk full but i was still able to access via RDP the server and free up disk space of 80GB. I tried already to clear the browsser history,
disable the add-ons of IE8 and turn-off the firewall. I have NOT tried to reset  IE8 settings, disable  third-party
program or service and startup in msconfig as it require reboot of the server. I'm apprehensive
to do things i mentioned i have not tried since the server is up and running for 919 days and 17hours. It is why i tried other browsers that i even installed Chrome just to test and troubleshoot the browsing problem.
    Thanks

  • Connect mac mini to internet via windows phone

hallo, how can i connect Mac mini to internet via my Windows Phone?

You are going to have to buy an external modem.  They make ones that plug into the USB.  Apple does not make one so you will have to buy a 3rd party modem.  I would read the reviews before making the purchase to make sure you buy one that someone has tested with a mac.

  • Can't share internet explorer window in lync 2013 client

    Hi,
I'm facing a strange issue, i can't share (present program) an internet explorer window. The program is launched on my desktop but it doesn't appear when i try to share it. I use Lync 2013 client on Windows 7, same problem on Windows 8. I think it's linked
to our domain desktops, because i don't have the issue when i try on a workgroup desktop.
    Someone has an idea ?
    Thanks & Regards

What is the version of your Lync 2013 client?
I don’t have this problem running Lync 2013 15.0.4535.1507 version on Windows 8.
Please check the other Lync users have the same problem.
Try to close your another browser, then test again.

  • Can't browse internet on ipad2, but laptops works fine - any ideas?

Have a weird problem surfing the internet with my ipad2 that started out of the blue a few days ago. Everything had been working fine up until then and I don't remember changing anything or updating new software...
Can't browse the internet on the ipad anymore, and when i point browser at website, it thinks for awhile then brings up an earthlink page (my ISP). Still receives mail/twitter though, so some data is coming through, but facebook app isn't working. And my 2 laptops connect fine, full on browsing. Also seems like my wife's new iphone is having the same problem, starting at same time.
I really have no idea - anyone heard of this?

Try going to Settings > Safari> Clear History, Cookies, Cache on the iPad. If that doesn't work then do a reboot of the device by pressing and holding the on/off and home buttons simultaneously until the screen goes blank and you see the apple logo. It should take about 10-15 seconds to reboot.

  • WRT54G Can ping to outside world but can't browse internet.

I have a WRT54G wireless router. The wireless is working fine as I can communicate with the router admin area via a web browser. I can also send and receive packets by pinging a site - like www.google.com. The router is connected to a cable modem. If I plug my laptop directly to this modem (by-passing the router) I can browse the web no problem.
I have a network cable connecting the modem and router. If I unplug this cable the 'internet' light on the router goes out (indicating that it can sense the modem), when I plug it back in it goes on again. So everything seems fine. Only I can't browse the web or send and receive email through the router.
I have tried resetting the router to the defaults - all to no avail. It was working fine, then last weekend - without touching any settings, something changed and we were unable to browse as usual???
    Any ideas? Thanks, Michael

If you are using Zone Alarm, right click on the ZA icon in the system tray (lower right corner of screen) and then click "Shutdown ZoneAlarm", and see if this fixes your problem. If this does not work, try the following with Zone Alarm: Open the ZAISS control center, go to Privacy, then temporarily turn off Ad Blocking and Cookie Control, and see if that fixes your problem.
If you are using Noton Internet Security with the Add-on Pack, be sure to turn off the Pop-up Blocker, and the Ad blocker. Some users have reported that they needed to uninstall the entire Norton Add-on Pack.
If you have neither, check what firewall or Internet security you have on your PC, Disable it and try accessing the Internet. Also adjust your IE browser settings.
Open an Internet Explorer browser page >>> Tools >>> Internet Options- On "General" Click on "Use Blank" button. Click on "Delete Cookies" and click on ok of the confirmation box. Click on "Delete Files" and check the option "Delete All Offline Contents" and click Ok- Click on "Clear History" as well. Then go to "Connections" Select "Never Dial a Connection". Click on the "LAN Settings button". Uncheck all the boxes
here and click Ok- Go to "Advanced". Click on the restore defaults button below and then click on Apply and then Ok.Close the IE and Reopen it again, Check if you have internet.

  • I can't browse Internet with Arora [solved]

    Hi.
I installed Arora this night, I really like it now. But I deleted my ~/.config/arora*/, and since this, I can't browse the Internet, but with Firefox it works. I want to use Arora instead of Firefox, does anyone know what I can do ?
I already remove this, re-installed (-Rd, -Rs, -S) but nothing changes..
    Thanks in advance

    I've got it !
It's just when AdBlock is activated, I can't go to any websites, even the default page of Arora. I don't understand why, because I use the same filters on my firefox, and it works.
    It's now solved

  • Kids can't browse internet in their profile if parental controls are on

    Hi,
I have profiles set up for each of my kid on our Mac. Up until a couple of weeks ago, I could set parental controls for time/programs to open etc. AND they could still browse the internet using Safari.
For some reason the last couple of weeks the kids can't browse Safari if they have a managed account. The only way to let them browse is to change their account status to "standard" instead of "managed". Is there a way that I can manage their account and still let them browse the internet? I've been trying to figure out this for days but I can't figure out what has changed to prevent them from doing this. I have recently run all software updates.
    Thanks so much!

I'm replying to my own posting as I have solved the problem and wanted to post it in case anyone else has the same problem.  I would venture to say that upcoming updates to the Android system may solve this problem.
For some reason, when the Thrive is set for DHCP ip addressing, it is not going out to the internet.  So, I changed the network profile to manual with a static IP address.  I also input the router address and DNS addresses with the router's IP address.  As soon as I saved the changes it was magic.  The tablet connected and internet speed was lightning fast.
So, anyone having problems, give this a try as you'll not get anywhere with Cisco or Toshiba support.

I'm trying to install WP Recovery Tool because while I loved the Windows 10 preview for phones, the no cellular data is a no-no for me.

  • Suddently can't browse internet... "You are not connected to Internet"

It has been now 2 months that I have an issue with internet with my Macbook Pro.
I am connected to Internet and browsing internet, however suddenly and without any reason Safari/Firefox give me a message you are not connected to internet. However, MSN or YM are still working fine
It happened to me with both Airport and Ethernet connection but only with my specific provider (but only in my macbook pro, not in my pc or iphone)
When the problem occurs, I run a network diagnostic and found the following
    - Pinging an address that need DNS won't work (ping www.facebook.com ==> error: host unknown)
    - DNS lookup however working: lookup www.facebook.com ==> 66.220.145.10
    - Pinging 66.220.145.10 is working
    - any traceroute on IP numeric address is working, however when it need DNS it is not working (traceroute www.facebook.com: unknown host)
The workaround I found is to disable and enable again the interface to make it working...
Did someone have experience the issue?
    Regards, Bernard

    Me too.  What a pain!

  • Can't browse internet while playing music over Airport Express

    Hello,
I have a 802.11n wireless network using a D-Link DIR-615 router. I have 2 AX's, one for the printer and one recently purchased to play music on my home stereo. The AX's are set to join the existing network.
I can play music over the AX just fine, and I can browse the internet wirelessly just fine.... but...
When I am playing music AND want to browse at the same time, I can do so for about a minute, at which point the internet stops working (I get time-outs) and a couple minutes later, the music also stops. To fix it, I have to turn off AirPort on my MacBook Pro (using the icon in the upper right of the screen), and then turn it back on.
Why is this happening? How do I fix it? I've tried changing the channel on the router. I suspect it's something to do with the router... but Apple folks are so much more helpful!

Based on the information in your posts, you are likely encountering a signal strength issue, an interference issue with another wireless network or device, or a combination of the two.
iStumbler will help with identifying one or both of these potential issues.
When you open the application, check your signal strength. If you have a "good" signal, your wireless signal strength will appear in green. If it's yellow, you have a marginal signal, red, etc. If your signal is not in the green area, you need to position the router and Express closer together or try to eliminate any obstructions between devices as much as possible. A typical sheet rock and stud wall will on average, absorb about 15-20% of your signal.
Then look for other wireless networks that may be displayed in the iStumbler window. Any visible network that is using the same channel or a close adjacent channel as your wireless is a likely cause of interference. If you see this, change the channel on your router to see if you can find better airspace.
You may need to experiment with this a bit, as most modern routers allow a user to "hide" their network. So, it's quite possible that another network that you cannot see is interfering with your signal. All you can really do is keep trying different channels until you find a better setting or run out of channels.
