Can't burn any discs on iTunes

Question

I ran the diagnostics for my CD/DVD and this is what came up. I have been unable to burn CDs since upgrading to 7.1. I tried restarting the computer, restarting iTunes, and still nothing is working. Anyone have any ideas?

ahhhh, she was a ThinkPad T43. thank you kindly. i went to the "Drivers and Downloads" link from the page that was returned to you by your "Detect your System":

it looks like they have automatic utilities there for checking for updates to your system (which makes sense if she's a Configure-To-Order model).
Download and install:
CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD, CD-RW/DVD drive firmware update utility (Bootable CD ISO) - ThinkPad General
Hard drive firmware update utility (Bootable CD ISO) - ThinkPad
System Update 3.0
run the utilities to determine if your componentry needs any updates. if there are updates, and you update successfully, is there any improvement to your burning performance?
