Can't buy old NBC shows unless using One-Click

I posted a followup ? on a prior post concerning purchasing SDs, but as my experience wasn't quite the same, I thought I should clarify: although I could buy anything else I wanted, I was not able to get Battlestar, Heroes, Monk or Eureka at all (I just got "unavailable" in my shopping cart). This whether I was trying for SD or HD, (whence this separate post). The "empty out what you don't want and click Buy at the bottom right" worked only for the free episodes. If I want to pay for one of these shows, I get the strangest message from the iTunes store: 'Your shopping cart's contents have changed. Either the prices of some items have changed, or items have been added or removed from another computer. Please review your shopping cart and click Buy Now." On a hunch I just enabled One-click, and now everything works fine. BUT I DON'T WANT TO USE ONE-CLICK, as I like to have my shopping cart as a place where I keep my wishlist for myself and I buy when I finally decide I want something. My question: why do only these shows have to be bought with one-click? Is there a workaround? Am I doing something weird? I looked through all the new preference tabs and nothing seems related to this issue.

Thank you for your reply. Seems I forgot the obvious attempt at solving the problem, which was to log out and back into the store. It occured to me when I clicked on your link. On that page there were several links to "View my account information". All I had to do was click one and sign in. It works now.
