Can't buy song, says purchased

Can't buy newly remastered song cause I bought the original version. The same song has been remastered and re-released. Song says purchased. How can I get rid of original to purchase the new remastered song?

Did you tried to erase the song and redownload? It's Remastered or Mastered for iTunes? Check this:

Hi mterry1723, one solution that might be worth trying is this:
- Close iTunes, if it's open
- Open Safari and got to 'Preferences'
- Select 'Security' on the top
- Untick all the security options in the menu
- Click the 'Show Cookies' button and look for all the 'apple' entries in the left-hand column.
- Highlight them (select them collectively) and press 'Remove'
- Now open iTunes and buy the song as usual.
- You may be asked to do the same security process as before, so do as asked.
- Hopefully, the security check will now have accepted your answers and start downloading the song as normal.
Remember to re-tick all the required security options you had just un-ticked in Safari preferences. You don't need to bother about opening the cookies again.
I hope this has worked for you and my profoundest apologies if it has not. Worth a go, though!

How can i buy songs off itunes that you can't get on the Canadian version but you can in the u.k. version
I would really like to get these songs (not illegally like most people) because i really like them but they are only in the U.K. or Irish version of iTunes and I'm on the Canadian version
If anyone can tell me how i could possibly get these that would be great thanks

OS X is the same no matter where you buy it. You can switch it to Japanese or one of 30 other languages in few seconds via the system preferences.
If you want a Japanese keyboard as well, you can select that when you configure your purchase:

I tried to purchase some song and TV episode from iTunes store, but
it said "unknown error(5002)there was an error in the Try again later".
can you buy songs or TV episode right now? I just would like to know that it is only my problem or not. Thanks

We are experiencing this sudden error now too. Up until last night, we were accessing our Cart. But, then after adding one more song and deleting some from the cart, we got the error and cannot access the account from any machine. In addition to this one, we have a brand new iMAC "24, dual Intel; a PowerBook G4, and a Gateway Laptop running XP. None of the machines can access this Cart. Our other iTunes account is fine, without problem. But, this account's cart is inaccessible. I can find no solution.

What happens when you tru buy items in it ?
If you are getting a message to contact iTunes support then you can do so via this page and ask them why the message is appearing (we won't know why) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

Can't Play Songs I Purchased

Hi guys,
A long time ago I purchased songs on iTunes with an old Apple ID. Then I bought a new computer, transferred the songs I purchased and I was able to play them (I don't know what I did because I already had my new apple ID at this time). I recently formatted my laptop, put my music back and when I try to listen to my songs I purchased a while ago, a window pops up asking me to identify myself. The problem is it shows my old Apple ID that does not exist anymore. I click "Forgot Password" then it takes me to the Apple website, says that this Apple ID expired and ask me to put the new one. I do, it works. But back into iTunes, I still can't play those songs cause it will ask me to authorize my computer to play them, again.
What can I do?

Can't buy song due to billing error

My credit card was recently renewed and could not purchase songs. Routed to Billing History and eventually to renewing my "Billing Agreement" between my cc company and itunes, which I did after updating the cc information (of course), prompted with two messages about there being a problem. Tried to purchase a song with same symptoms.
Updated cc informtion on cc company site, updated Billing Agreement info with itunes on the same site. Opened itunes, tried to buys song again. Receive same symptoms.
Anybody know what to try next?

I can't buy songs because error 11503 occurred

I tried to buy songs and whenever I tried, the error message popped up, saying "error 11503 occurred and try later".
So I tried to go into my iTunes account and send a message or something, but I can't do that either. It says "503 service unnavilable".
Aaarrrhh, what is wrong with iTunes?

Here's a possible fix for Error 11503 and for error 50.
It worked for me and hopefully it will work for you.
I believe this error is caused by the incomplete downloading of either an update to an app, or perhaps a big music file. In my case it was caused by closing the lid on my laptop when I was downloading app updates on a very slow internet connection in a hotel.
Anyway, here is what I did that fixed it completely.
Close iTunes.
Go to this folder : /iTunes/Mobile Applications/Downloads
You'll find tmp files there. Drag them out of this folder to a temporary folder on your desktop. The Downloads folder should now be empty.
Restart iTunes.
All should be fine.
If it's not, then I can't help further, but that's what worked for me.

Launch iTunes on your computer. From the menu bar top of your screen click Store / Authorize This Computer.
Now sync your iPod.
If you still can't sync the music to your iPod, could be your PC security software preventing the sync process.
