Can't capture anymore.. please help!
hi,
i've been using mdt 2010 in the last 4ish years to deploy several hundreds of machines. now due to some mysterious reason, capturing doesn't work anymore. the visible symptom is a error message containing something about the clonetag registry entry not being
writeable. i hacked around this by regedit'ing the clonetag value back in, but the result was an image that doesn't join the domain. i also deactivated the "inject mass storage driver" step and the wmp net service, but no luck.
i don't know why sysprep fails all of a sudden. all i did was update the image with a few software installations and updates. when i try to sysprep without saving the image to the mdt deployment share, it reports that it completed successfully. if i save the
image, it reboots and continues with the deployment task. which fails with the clonetag error. i've tried it with and without installing the latest windows updates. the image size is around 10 gigs, free space on the ds is around 40 gigs. after an unsuccessful
capture attempt, the local admin account is locked and the hidden system partition has a drive letter.
please help me find the error..

Does the person who gave it to you still have the receipt ? Try to reset it. just press hold the on/off botton (ignore the red slider) just hold it then the ipad is automatically reset. dont worry about your file, there nothing happen to it. Godbless.

After i Updated itunes al my ipod apps including safari and music, photos and all of them went away and i cannot do anything on it anymore please help?
- Try a reset. Nothing is lost:
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Can you find the apps using the Spotlight search on the iPod? Maybe you just can't find them
- If you can find them you can reset the screen layout by go to Settings>Genera.Reset>?Reset Screen Layout.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod. -

settings - general - usuage - music - delete. Then do a reset, hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
Then sync the music back via iTunes. -

If you don't know your ID, you can try to find it as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5625. Then you can reset the password as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2617. Of course, you can only do this if it's your ID.

Hi, when you say you have tried everything... I presume you have gone into Settings > Store and logged out and back in with your account details?
You could try purchasing an app via iTunes to see if its an issue with the device or the account you're using.

Is the iPod still singed into the account isn Settings>iTunes and App Stores and SettingsZ>iCloudl? If it is then I would not be concerned.

For the other "problem", go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and check the box that says Prevent iPod....automatically syncing. -

iOS 4.2.1 is the latest version of iOS for the 3G.
Facebook and Whatsapp both require 4.3 or higher.
If you want to use those apps, either use the old version that should be in your iTunes library or upgrade the hardware to a 3GS or newer device. -

This sounds like it is about Window positions.
iChat has Default places for Incoming Invites.
Video is always top Center of your Screen
Audio and Text chats are Upper right with the Audio slightly lower than Text Chats.
Secondary invites are sort of Stacked like when you open multiple files from the same App.
Your outgoing Windows are "Remembered" as to where the last one was when you used it.
This can be an issue if you use your Mac with a second display and turn Off Mirroring.
You windows can get "left" on the other screen.
Go to System Preferences > Displays and turn On Mirroring and the windows should come back to one Screen/display.
If this does not help go to your Home Folder/Library/Preferences and delete (Drag to Trash) com.apple.ichat.plist and restart iChat.
Unfortunately you will need to reset any iChat Preferences you have changed from defaults.
