Can't change account name in icloud after updating my email account

Hi -
I changed my Apple ID to a new e-mail account. When accessing iCloud from my iphone 4s, I am unable to change my account name to match my new Apple ID & email account.
Any ideas?

To change your iCloud ID, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account then sign back in with the changed ID. This will delete the account and your synced data from from device but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account your data will be synced back to your device when you sign back in.
Before deleting the account, save your photo stream photos to your camera roll (tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll).

Answer: You cannot change an iCloud.com email once it's created (there is a little warning that tells you this when you set it up initially).
What other options do you have?
1) Create a new Apple ID account (least recommended option). This will make a whole new account and any purchases or money you spent of have on your current account will not be on the new account. Therefore, you would have to continue to use two Apple IDs or give up the old account as they cannot be merged.
2) Create an email alias. (most recommended). Although you will still log into your iCloud with the same Apple ID you currently use, an alias will allow you to send and receive emails using the alias but will still come through your normal icloud email since you can't change it.

You could set up a new account in "Settings > iCloud" and use that for email and calendar (http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/).

You can't do it on your own. The previous owner has to erase the device for you. You would need his Apple ID and password in order to delete his iCloud account. This is due to the Activation Lock in iOS 7 - assuming that your iPad is running iOS 7.
Contact the owner and ask home to erase it remotely using iCloud, or return the device and ask for your money back. If you can't contact the pervious owner, you will have a useless iPad on your hands.

I type Sandi Patty. It changes it to Sandi patty. (Little "p") There are some pics in there correctly capitalized and some that aren't. So, I deleted all the faces with incorrect spelling hoping to clear the system of that name completely. Didn't work. As you type Sandi, all the choices, including the one with error in capitalization show up. I type it CORRECTY -- Sandi Patty -- I click on another face and the Sandi Patty becomes Sandy patty. (Little P) There are other names in the list that were the result of bad spelling. Can these NOT be deleted??

To change the iCloud ID on your phone you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. You can't change it there. You have to delete the account and set up a new one. When you delete you lose access to the data you saved there under that account. I think option appears to save data to the phone when you delete the icloud account

Sounds like you have more going on than just a simple issue with Home Sharing and more dealing with Wi-Fi syncing. Start with the article below and see if that may resolve it.

My dad regestard my iPad onto his name then I had to change my name on iCloud because when I send email on my iCloud email address it says Philip on it. I don't want people to laugh at me so I changed it my name now my dad got me an iPhone and he regestered it on his name and in my iCloud email it says Philip instead of sofia I want my iCloud email address to have my name on it not my dad's I can't remember how to change the name. You must have had find my iPhone on, or it was locked by your phone carrier.
Call your our cell carrier first.
then log on to a computer to iCloud to erase your iPhone.
NOW... You will be able to setup with a backup.

Can't change group names.

Anyone know why I can't change the names of my calendar groups? I right click > get info on the group and change the name from "group" to my desired name, and it just changes back to "group".

Anyone know why I can't change the names of my calendar groups?
A bad cache or bad calendar database would be my first guess.
Here are the steps I would try:
Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
Home > Library > Caches
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove them all.)
__NOTE: Removing these files will remove any shared (CalDAV) calendars you may have access to. You will have to re-add those calendars to iCal > Preferences > Accounts.
Once the computer is back up and running open iCal and test.

If you mean the name you assigned to it, then connect it to your computer, open iTunes, click in the name of the device in the iTunes sidebar, press RETURN to activate the field, change the name, press RETURN again.
