Can't change color of Tab Canvas tabs

I'm trying to modify a the background color of a tab canvas, and the color of the canvas itself changes as specified, but I have been unable to change the color of the tabs themselves.
Am I missing something here, or is there a bug, or what?

You can use the Split Toning panel (see attachment). If the problem is in the deep shadows drag the balance to -90 or lower (-90 to -100), drag the saturation slider until you see the image appearance changing, then adjust hue slider until the colour cast is balance out. You may need to pull saturation back towards zero a tad after hue is adjusted. For highlights push the balance to positive values.

I totally understand what you are saying and I rarely take an argumentative approach in this forum, but what I am trying to point out to the OP is that you cannot create different colors for "events" in one single calendar.

I have a requirement like
1) based on organization choosen the TAB NAME AND TAB LABLE name in tab canvas should be changed dynamically. can this happen?
example: In forms i gave the NAME and LABLE OF TAB (PROPERTY PALLET) as *'TAB_INITIAL'* and *'TAB_INITIAL'* respectively .
when org_1 is choosen , lable should be changed to 'TAB_ORG_1' .
when org_2 is choosen , lable should be changed to 'TAB_ORG_2'. can the NAME also be changed dynamically??
2)Similarly can we change the ITEM NAMES present on this tab based on organization selection?

You can perform this by using:
set_tab_page_property('Tab_page_name', label,'your_desire_label');
and for item set_item_property.

Change Color of Tabs Web Item

I'd like to publish a WAD 7.0 webtemplate including several tab groups which need to have different colors, one color for one issue.
Currently I found no way to realize that.
I tried to put the &STYLE_SHEET=<url>/<name.css> after the web template link without success. I also tried to use <link href="<url>" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" /> in the web template without success.
Do you have some ideas for me?

Hi,
In BI 7.0, by default, colors for 7.0 web templates should be changed by changing the portal theme. You need to be a portal administrator to do this.
Portal themes can be edited with the theme editor: Go to System Administration --> Portal Display --> [Choose theme assigned to user group] --> Theme Editor. The default theme is Tradeshow. If no custom theme is made, you better make a copy of Tradeshow and assign this to the users.
The colors of the tabstrip can be changed by choosing the item 'Tabstrip'.
This should solve the problem of Maya M. For using different colors for different tabs (ahaufe), probably a combination of javascript and CSS should be used. You don't necessarily need to link to an external stylesheet. You can also put CSS code directly in your template between <style type="text/css"> </style> tags (in de the <head> area). See http://www.tizag.com/cssT/internal.php for examples.

I tried what you said but it doesn't change the entire tab color. It only changes part of the tab color, not all of it.
I'd like to change the entire background color, just leaving the borders (to identify the selected tab)

Distiller: can't change color settings anymore

I just tried to change some settings in a specific Distiller (8) setting, but when I press Cmd-E and get to all the option tabs, I cannot acces the color tab! When I click on the word color the screens stays as it is and the little tab turns grey. After that I can't press OK or cancel: I can only switch between other tabs... Anyone knows what went wrong here? I really need to change those settings!

Hi; now I could solve the problem for me. I had to remove my Photoshop10 color profile from Mac/Users/.../Library/Application%20Support/Adobe/Color/Settings/ because it must have been corrupted by other CS3 applications (Illu13, Indy5 etc.). Then I created a new color profile there using 'Photoshop10 > Edit > Color Settings', and to be sure I created for each CS3 app a separate one (I named it ColSetPhotoshop, ColSetIllustrator, ColSetIndesign etc.) and selected it in each app, so that those corruptions cannot occur in the future. NEVERTHELESS: ADOBE SHOULD AVOID THOSE INSECURITIES IN THEIR PRODUCTS!
After doing so, Distiller's color tab is functioning normally.

Do not use any other colour parameters than those made with Adobe photoshop or those which are pre-installed.
If you create personal colour parameters with Illustrator or Indesign, this drives Distiller to crash when hitting the colour tab in the pdf settings.
Remove all personal colour parameters (User > Library > Application Support > Adobe > Color > Settings) except those made with Photoshop.

I understand that's very fundamental question, and I promise I search the forum prior to posting, but perhaps it's my bad english and wrong phrasing, that leads to poor results. So if that has been discuss, please kindly don't waste your time, just link me to the post and I will read away.
I have very complex file, with hundreds of paths, shapes, text, outlined text, etc... It's a brochure with graphs, scematich drawings and text.
Last moment, the client like the reverse the colors from (current) Black on white, to all White on dark gray background.
Problem is, I can't seem to find easy way to just change the colors, without selecting one by one, every single object. When I selest all and choose white, it start filling paths with solid fill... Editing it wastes allot of my time and I have many pages to do.
Is there any way to simple change color of everything at once, just from black to white ? Or do I have to go object by object manually ?

The INVERT work on some images.
The "SAME" seem to work funny way. When I select STROKE COLOR, it does nothing, but when I select WIGHT then it does and in fact I'm able to change lots of strokes at once with ease. Even tho I'm left with few small bits here and there which I need to change manually, it is certainly far better than doing one by one.

By the way I not once used the SAME menu. Feel so lame, given I use AI (not daily but often) for few years now... Shame.

All invisibles are rectangles, and can't change color in prefs. Que pasa?

Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong? All invisibles are superscript rectangles and I can't change the invisibles color in Pages General Preferences.
I bought, then installed, the serial number over the '09 trial today. This is the first time I've seen this problem. So I reinstalled iWork. Same problem.
This did not come up in the trial, nor in '08.
Do I need to trash the prefs?
I can't work without invisibles, so this is really annoying.

I haven't heard about the problem either so we have to start somewhere.
Have you restarted your computer lately?
Start with deleting the com.apple.iwork.pages.plist from the User > Library > Preferences. Pages will create a new plist file. If you have the same problem in Keynotes and Numbers delete the plist files too.
If it doesn't work you can delete the iwork'09 folder in Macintosh HD > Library > Application support. Reinstall iWork and add the serial number again.
Create a new account (System preferences > Accounts) and try Pages in that account. does it work?

There are various ways to colorize a B/W, but the advantage of the Hue/Saturation layer is this: if you want to later change the color, simply double-click the layer thumbnail to bring up the Hue/Sauration box again.
Another benefit of an adjustment layer (not only Hue/Saturation) is that you can paint the layer with black to reveal the original picture, and paint with white to restore the adjustment. This method works, for example, if you want to colorize just certain portions of your B/W.
One more thing. If the picture is a true greyscale you will first have to convert it to RGB: Image>Mode>RGB Color

You can do that by going to iCloud, select Calendar. Then you'll see on the left side where it says Calendars (under the cloud mark) click Edit, and you can add other Topics and customze them to the color you want:)
