Can't change cookies setting in 5.1

When I change the cookies setting in Safari prefs, it won't take. Such as Always to Never block or the other way around. I have to quit Safari and re-open to make the change take effect. RR

Try troubleshooting the Safari .plist file.
Go to ~/Library/Preferences. Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop.
Quit then relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, move the .plist file to the Trash.
~ (Tilde) character represents your Home folder.
If you are running Lion: To find the Home folder in OS X Lion, open the Finder, hold the Option key, and choose Go > Library

The only way that I know currently know of to remove old or incorrect email addresses from the Mail app is to reset the iPad back to factory defaults, which I assume that you don't want to to. wjosten is spot on. If you really want iCloud, then you will need to acquire a new or second hand MBP that can run Lion.

I am using WebLogic 4.5.1 .
and recently started to use JDK 1.2 instead of JDK 1.1.7.
So, I set [start]-[weblogic]-[Choose1.2JRE] in environment.
and then, if I execute T3Server, the message of
"javai.dll class path cannot be found " is displayed and the server is not
loaded.
However, javai.dll was in java1.1.X\bin.
I can assume that a setting is to java1.1.X.
--> How can I change the setting to one appropriate to java 1.2

You may need to rebuild permissions on your user account. To do this,boot to your Recovery partition (holding down the Command and R keys while booting) and open Terminal from the Utilities menu. In Terminal, type: ‘resetpassword’ (without the ’s), hit return, and select the admin user. You are not going to reset your password. Click on the icon for your Macs hard drive at the top. From the drop down below it select the user account which is having issues. At the bottom of the window, you'll see an area labeled Restore Home Directory Permissions and ACLs. Click the reset button there. The process takes a few minutes. When complete, restart.

My requirement is to push data of a grid to Excel by clicking a button. I have written code in javascript. But if the option in Internet Explorer "Initialize and script controls not marked as safe" is disabled , i am not able to push data to Excel.
It is possible only this option is enabled.
So tried to push data by write code: document.appletname.saveAsCSVFile();
But i am not getting data in Excel in correct format.
It is coming as : first row: Column name1, " column name 2",...
2nd row: value1, "value2",.....
Any ideas on this?

Tap on the id in Settings > Store and log out of it and then login with your id. Any content already on the iPad will be tied to the previous owner's id and it can't be copied or transferred to your id - so it's probably best to do restore the iPad back to factory defaults and start as from new with it : Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Contents And Settings

i have a problem on persian language.
whereas oracle dosn't support persian(farsi) language,
i use arabic character set for simulation.
in oracle developer6i (forms) i had no problem about displaying farsi fonts on runtime.
but in forms9i that runs forms on web(java applet) i can't use farsi fonts correctly.
for example when i type a word(boilerplate text) on farsi language in form builder i can see it correctly but when i run my forms on web , characters of that word have some displacement.
i want to know that is there any configuration file for solving this problem?

Identity Managemen t > Services > Authentication > Membership>DN to Start User Search

and logout Identity Server

You could modify the necessary values in the LDAP directory that the identity server stis on top of. ie:
(using an ldap browser) go to the following location in the tree:
dc=xxx, ou=services, ou=iPlanetAMAuthLDAPService, ou=1.0, ou=OrganizationConfig, ou=default
There should be a "sunkeyvalue" attribute there with the following value:
iplanet-am-auth-ldap-base-dn=o=xxx,dc=xxx
change it to iplanet-am-auth-ldap-base-dn=dc=xxx
Then goto
dc=xxx, ou=services, ou=iPlanetAMAuthService, ou=1.0, ou=OrganizationConfig, ou=default
There should be a "sunkeyvalue" attribute there with the following value:
iplanet-am-auth-user-container=o=xxx,dc=xxx
change it to iplanet-am-auth-user-container=dc=xxx
Try to login using LDAP authentication (ie goto to the url "your webserver"/amserver/UI/Login?module=LDAP)
If that doesn't work, then you will probably have to edit the XML template for these services. This can be done as follows:
Goto dc=xxx, ou=services, ou=iPlanetAMAuthLDAPService, ou=1.0

Do you mean you have a Macbook Pro (laptop) versus a Mac Pro (desktop)?
You can back up the MBP, restart using Command+R to boot into the Mavericks Recovery HD, erase the Mactintosh HD and Reinstall OS X. Then you can go through setup and configure it with your information and Apple ID. Mavericks should not prompt you for an Apple ID when it goes through the install since that OS is free.
One thing you might want to consider is asking the previous owner to unregister the MBP from his Apple ID if he previously registered it. Then you can register it under your Apple ID.
The previous owner should have wiped it clean and reinstalled the OS that came pre-installed before selling it.
