Can't change extension avi.download to avi while downloading?

ever since i upgade to mountain lion, the downloading file become grey, I can't change the avi.download to avi, anyone knows how to change that?

After some Googling, it does appear that Flip4Mac is causing the problem. It appears that once installed it assumes control over the codecs 'msmpeg4v1.component' and 'msmpeg4v2.component' which were probably decoding the VCM before F4M.
The solution should be to remove F4M and install those codecs. Do you have those codecs installed? Look in Library/QuickTime, see what codecs are installed and list them here. Select all the contents of Library/QuickTime, do a copy, and paste them in the 'Post Message: Reply' Window here.
You could try installing this codec pack;
http://www.cs.pdx.edu/~feelgood/opengl/codecs/FFusion.dmg
with the Flip4Mac codecs uninstalled and see if that helps. This codec pack includes the 'msmpeg4v1.component' and 'msmpeg4v2.component' codecs. Basically, you want to go back to the codecs you had installed before Flip4Mac. And you might want to restart the machine after making those changes.
Or you could use ffmpegX to convert the VCM AVI into a high bit rate MPEG4 AVI and then use QT to convert to DV. That appears to be what other people on this forum did in your situation. Do a search for 'VCM Image Codec' on this board and see what you find.
And you might want to Google "-Your Camera make/model- and Macintosh" and see what you find.

Apologies if this is an off-target question, but had you bought the HD season originally or just the SD version?
The reason I ask is that I have had similiar difficulties with the autodown load and when I check for available downloads on season passes, it says all downloaded.
Then, when I go to the store and search for the season, it first brings up the HD season indicating I would need to make a new purchase, but if I select on SD, there are my purchases and I can freely (and manually) download the latest episode without new cost.
Needless to say, neither of us should have to go looking. Here is the iTunes technical support email: <[email protected]>. I encourage you to email them. I have already done so but I think it helps for anyone with this problem to also do so, so that they will realize it is a wider spread issue and not a human error by a single user.

You can't change your background to a file on the internet, only a local file (what would happen, for example, if you weren't connected to the internet?)
The simple soluton is to download the image to your system (which you can do any number of ways via AppleScript) and then use your existing AppleScript to set the desktop to the newly-downloaded file.

I am getting error 101 i.e. not enough space. I want to change my downlaod location to default. How can I do that. I even uninstalled the product and tried reloading but it goes to the same location and doesn't ask for new location to download.

It depends on which version of Windows you are using but it will intitally be downloaded to the C: drive. The data is initially stored in the following locations:
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\Application Data\com.adobe.downloadassistant.AdobeDownloadAssistant\Local Store
Windows 7 and Vista: C:\Users\[login]\AppData\Roaming\com.adobe.downloadassistant.AdobeDownloadAssistant\Local Store
You will need to get enough free space on the C: drive to allow the download.

When I downloaded Yosemite, Apple wanted me to sign in on the old email address but I cannot remember my password, or at least I thought I remembered it but I keep getting the incorrect password message. Help - I cannot find where to change the email address in the new system, it used to be in Preferences/ Users but it is not there now.

When you say "remove his account", do you mean remove his Apple ID as well as all his stuff (music, movies, and whatever else is housed in iTunes)? If so, delete all his stuff (music, etc.), have him deauthorize the computer (Store > Deauthorize This Computer), and sign out of his account (Store > Sign Out) and then sign in to yours.
If all you want to do is remove his Apple ID and not fuss with his stuff, then things get more complicated, because you do not own his stuff.

Can we change the date/ime of report while uploading in Enterprise?

Hi, We are on BOXI R2 SP3 using IIS as web app servers on windows server 2003. We are using .NET SDK to integrate BOXI with custom application. We store report in custom application and don't load in BOXI until someone tries to run it. During run we will check if the version present ( date and time) in BOXI is later than our application or not. If no this means BOXI has older version and we will upload new version from Application into BOXI enterprise.
For the reason we are using date/time to verify version therefore we want BOXI to store the date/time of the actual report not the date/time when it was uploaded in BOXI.
Does anyone has any idea if we can change it or correct it for first time loading?

I don't think that the date/time last modified is accessible. You could use the SummaryInfo of the report to maintain this information yourself. This is part of the RAS SDK. There is a comments section available that you could use for this.

ipa is for an iPhone. You can't open it on Safari on a Mac.

Can one change the alignment of Caption field while printing contact sheet?

I'm going to print thousands of photos in contact sheet, and would like to make the caption field left aligned rather than the default of center aligned. Is there a way to change the default alignment in contact sheet print preset?

John is correct, but, you must first select the images and Render Standard-Sized Previews from the Library>Previews menu in Library. Alternatively you can render the 1:1 previews instead, but at contact sheet size, it shouldn't matter too much.
