Can't Change Internet Connection Type

Friend of mine's WRT54Gv6 stopped working, so I temporarily installed a BEFW11S4 and brought the other router home to check out. Installed the latest Linksys firmware, but now when I go to the Setup page, I can't select any Internet connection type except Auto DHCP. All the usual choices appear in the dropdown list, but whatever one I select, when the list closes up, Auto DHCP appears in the type box. Is this router toast?

Nope. Last thing I might try is to load different firmware on it (probably DD-WRT). If that doesn't work, I have to figure the router is toast.

You will have to configure that with your router. Type your router's IP address in the search/domain bar and allow port forwarding.
What is requiring you to have an open NAT? That issue is usually for gaming consoles, etc.

Hello all
We use SRM server 5.5 with classic scenario.
When we create shopping cart, we implemented the Change Badi to assign the purchasing group from R/3 material master.
We implemented the following logic.
If material master in R/3 has no purch. Group, SRM also has no purch. Group. So SRM display the error message You should select the purch. group to determine the purchasing group in basic view.
But, We have the standard error message, when we choose the material code this material code has no purch. Group in R/3 No purchasing groups were found.
Message number is BBP_ATTR050.
Because of this message, we can not progress the process to create shopping cart.
Can we change the message type from Error to Warning Message?
Or, Can we delete this message?

Yes. You are right.
When user choose the material code, there is no purch. group in 1st Step, but
we want to choose the purch. group in 2nd Step on basic view.
But we have the error message at 1st step. so we can not progress to 2nd Step.
If we use dummy purch. group, user could make the human mistake.
So our customer want to remove purch. group and choose the purchasing group by user.
But i'm not sure if we remove this error message, we got solve this problem..
Pls give me an idea..

Can't change the connection string of SSIS package with derived columns?

We upgraded SQL server 2008 to 2012, copied and converted all SSIS packages from Visual Studio 2008 to 2010. When I opened a package in VS 2010 and tried to change the connection string, in the local connection managers, if the data source is another
SSIS package B(.dtsx file) with derived columns, I can't change the connection string of package B. When I opened the file connection manager editor for package B and tried to locate a dtsx file in another location, saved the change, reopened the project.
Package B still pointed to previous file. Other packages without derived columns work fine. Any thoughts?

We are using the package deployment model and refer to other packages in the same project. If
we changed the path of package B (with derived columns) to "D:\Visual Studio 2010\xxxx", and refer it in package A, in the A's connection manager, the connection string of package B is still its previous location "D:\Visual
Studio 2008\xxxx". When we ran the package A in the SQL server agent, the data source is still
"D:\Visual
Studio 2008\xxxx", so how can I change it to "D:\Visual
Studio 2010\xxxx"? Why has the package C (without derived columns) no such problem? thanks.

Can you post a screenshot showing the problem. You can select the cell(s) then adjus the formatting as needed using the Cell format tool on the right.

Can you combine internet connections ?

I've heard that you can combine 2 internet connections in to one faster one, fisrst is this posible with the MacPro using the two gigabit ethernet ports on the back (MacPro Mid 2012)? To do this i've heard that you need a special Router, a Link Aggregation Control Protocol supported one which is about $500, but im not sure if that is the kind of router you need. Anyone who got experience in this who could help me ?

Your Mac Pro 65lb tower with dual Ethernet ports does indeed support Link Aggregation.
It requires a Router or Switch that supports Link Aggregation Protocol, which is an expensive industrial-strength device.

If you do not have enough of a "mix" of traffic from multiple sources, some readers have complained that their speedup was disappointing. At least in older versions, connections were made in a permanent virtual circuit fashion, assigning each connection to one side or the other, and not using the full bandwidth for a single connection. Fail-over is supported just fine.
This also begs the question of where do you get anything else to connect to, that runs at 2Gbits/sec. Most Internet connections can't go anywhere near that fast, so it will not improve your download speeds.
Are you doing a lot of local File Transfers? Fiber channel may be more appropriate to support a Network Attached Storage device.

Hi,
You can change valuation class, or you can set valuation category for your material master. If valuation category is set you can extend your material master and in this way creating records for different valuation types.
Please try to set the desired changes in your mmr (MM02) > save > SAP will give you error message > push 'Display error' button and you will see what conditions must be eliminated to carry out the change.
- you are not allowed to have open transactional data
- no stock in the current and previous period (using proper posting date in MB1A + 201 you can reduce your stock level to 0, and after that you can set it back by MB1A + 202)
- in case of valuation category setting batch archiving may be necessary

For indivial material you can change it from MM02 . ( Select Insp.setup under Quality Management view) and again choose for Create new Inspection Type

Acrobat XI can't find internet connection

I have had Adobe CC subsciption for some time now, but recently my Acrobat stopped working. it says that it can't find internet connection. But all the other Adobe applications installed through the CC application manager are working fine.
I've had numerous chats with Adobe agents, and with my office's IT guys, and there has been no solution.
We use corporate anti-virus, firewall and proxy scrypts. I've had all Adobe links whitelisted that were given to me by the Adobe agents. The hosts file doesn't have any Adobe info. I've tried reinstalling n+1 number of times, with various options such as selected boot and such, and still no solution.
Why is it that all other Adobe applications installed under the CC work fine, but Acrobat doesn't?
It's sad that if one buys a subscription and loses internet, one would lose all the products as well. One should be allowed to work on the applications, internet connection or not.
Please help with this Acrobat that has created a circus for me here.

Can't share internet connection via firewire - missing something obvious?

I have my G4 933 connected via ethernet to a Dynalink RTA100+ DSL modem/router. Would like to share this internet connection with anther G4 450 (time warp here) over firewire until I sort a proper router... both are running on 10.4.11
I connected the computers with firewire cable and configured the firewire ports Manually (as I couldn't get DHCP to populate them in the right range).
Tried initially turning on Personal File and Web Sharing on each, but couldn't get a Ping to go through g4 to g4, even though I can see each firewire port's ip in each other's routing table info...
Also turned on Internet Sharing over Firewire port from Ethernet but G4 450 can't connect.
Read somewhere that you can't do both, so have reverted to just trying to get the Internet Sharing working (as that's all the kids really want on their computer!)
Dug around in the modem for ages tried it in Bridge mode, couldn't connect either computer to internet then so have gone back to normal PPP settings with DHCP.

Now, nothing is actually connecting at all, yet when I do a Netstat of the Routing Table info, the firewire IPs are showing up on each G4...but still no ping, no internet.

Hi Rose,
You can't Manually set the IPs for Internet Sharing according to Apple, (I've done it, but not consistently),
You do want the G4/450 to use DHCP, the G4/933 will likely end up handing out an IP to the 450 of 192.168.2.4, (one higher in the 3rd & 4th place, and wont work if the 933 started out as x.x.2.x), but it must do it itself to keep track of NAT within itself.
True you can't do both File & Internet Sharing at once.
On the G4/933, en0/Ethernet needs to be dragged to the top of Network>Show:>Network Port Configurations. On the G4/450, fw0/Firewire needs to be dragged to the top of Network>Show:>Network Port Configurations.
Internet Sharing needs to be OFF on the 450 & rebooted if it was ON.
As far as the Setting not sticking, there may be more, but Trash these two files on the 933 then Reboot...

Even in Internet Connect it has VPN(PPTP) as the name of the tab beside Airport and Bluetooth tabs.

- An iPad3 has established a 3G/4G data connection.
- There is a wireless access-point working.
- iPad is connected to that wireless access-point.
- There is a notebook (or desktop whatever) also connected to same wireless network.

You can't.
If you don't want to use your local WiFi you could try using a mobile phone that allows you to create a personal hotspot.

now in case the either the date, quantity or currency is initial in place of displaying 0.00 or empty date we need to display N/A (Not Applicable)
for this I would like to change the data type of the field
to put it simply --
we need to change the data type of date field from DATE&TIME to Char type to hold N/A or Quantity field to Char field to hold N/A
how can we realize this in SAP adobe forms

Hello Ramchander,
     You cannot change the data type of the field at run time in Adobe forms because the type of field you choose at the time of design level is associated with the data type itself.
If you want to achieve your requirement, then your main idea should be to set the data type as CHARACTER itself while designing the field in the adobe form itself. CHAR field will comfortably hold the value of Calculation/amount field, Currency field, Amount, Date, Time HHMMSS, Unit Accuracy, Currency key, Floating point number, Numeric text, Client, Language and many other data types.
After designing the field as TEXT field in Adobe form you have two options.
Option 1:
Select the Date field initially as type TEXT field or CHAR field in Adobe forms.
Suppose the name of the field is TEXTFIELD1, then write the Javascript code on this field in Initialize event as below.
if ( this.rawvalue == null )
     this.rawvalue = "N/A";
If the field is not blank, then it will show the date. Else it will show "N/A".
Option 2:
Select the Date field initially as type TEXT field or CHAR field in Adobe forms. Do the formatting part in ABAP itself. It will increase the performance. Avoid Javascript as much as possible.
Suppose you have a DATE variable l_dats of type DATS. Then take another variable l_date of type CHAR. Then write the below ABAP code.
MOVE l_dats TO l_date.
IF l_date IS INITIAL.
     l_date = 'N/A'.
ENDIF.
Bind the l_date to the TEXT field in the form.
Even in this case, if the field is not blank, then it will show the date. Else it will show "N/A".
But I will suggest you to use Option 2 of keeping the AMOUNT, QUANTITY, DATE, TIME fields etc as CHAR or TEXT fields in Adobe form and do the required formatting in ABAP itself.
