Can't change keyboard

A friend's iPad keyboard setting is stuck in Japanese and she can't change it back to English. Both the Japanese and English keyboards are selected in the keyboard settings, how do I change between the two?

Tab the globe icon on the keyboard.

  • [SOLVED] Can't change keyboard Layout on Xorg 1.8

    Hi all
I'm trying to configure the Input Hot-plugging on Xorg 1.8 but the keyboard layout is still on US keyboard and I need to change it.
I use some of the configurations of some people of the forum but it still on US, now my 10-evdev-conf file is like this:
    Section "InputClass"
    Identifier "Keyboards Defaults"
    Driver "evdev"
    Option "XkbLayout" "latam"
    Option "XkbModel" "microsoft"
    MatchIsKeyboard "on"
    EndSection
If there are a similar topic, Can you put the link?

Sorry, but i found the problem, I saved 10-evdev.conf as 10-evdev-conf, and here is my code
    Section "InputClass"
    Identifier "evdev keyboard catchall"
    MatchIsKeyboard "on"
    MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"
    Driver "evdev"
    Option "XkbLayout" "be"
    EndSection
    Section "InputClass"
    Identifier "mouse-all" ## to use a PS/2 mouse :P
    MatchIsPointer "on"
    Driver "evdev"
    EndSection
so I hope that someone can use this solve

  • Can't change keyboard shortcuts

I have the newest macbook pro with 10.9.5 , and I cannot change the keyboard shortcuts. I want to make "show the desktop" F7, when I click it and type the f7 key nothing happens. tks

    Thanks Eric,
Not clicking in the window where the insertion point is but just typing worked. If you click in the window where the insertion point is you can't enter anything.
I know of no other place in the Mac OS or any application that they have ever come out with that works this way. It's the little inconsistencies like this that I'm seeing more and more crop up in every new OS release.

  • Can't change keyboard layout

I've bought my new Macbook when i traveled to US, though i live in Brazil. I just want my keyboard to have a brazilian layout, with the special characters, and stuff. I've already tried to go to International > Input Menu, and change its configuration, but even though the brazilian flag appears on my right-upper side of the screen, it doesn't change the keyboard layout at all!
I've set my Mac OS X Leo to be fully in English, 'cause i thought it wouldn't be a problem changing the layout. I don't want the whole software in portuguese, 'cause it really doesn't looks good. Some words are forgotten and other weird things happen. And I don't want the US layout keyboard all the time, 'cause i need to write some stuff in portuguese too.
Anyone has any sugestions? Anything to do with the initial setup?
    Thanks in advance!

  • How can I change an english/american keyboard to a danish one?

How can I change an english/american keyboard to a danish one on a Macbook Air?

Apple menu / System Preferences / Keyboard / Input sources.
Click + (bottom left) and in the pane that comes up, select Danish on the left, and click Add.
Of course that can only change what the keys actually input, not what is written on the keys. If you wish to change the physical look of the keys as well, get in touch with Apple and ask if they can replace the keyboard.

  • I changed language from EN-GB to EN-US but my keyboard is still British (only when using FF). How can I change it to EN-US? in English

I changed language (based on an answer in this forum) from EN-GB to EN-US but my keyboard is still British (only when using FF). How can I change it to EN-US?
Should I just export my bookmarks, uninstall and reinstall the proper version? That may just be shorter than anything else.

GREAT!. Thanks a lot for educating me. There seem to be a million things we have to learn about our computers and when we run into them the first time they seem insurmountable. You pointed me to the solution. Thanks again. Ben

  • How can i change my macbook pro keyboard buttom english to arabic

How can i change my macbook pro keyboard buttom english to arabic

Apple does make and sell MacBook Pros with Arabic keyboards but, as far as I know, they're only sold in the Arabic market. You may be able to special order one: I don't know. You may even be able to order the keyboard only online or at your local Apple Store and have your English keyboard replaced. Again, I don't know.
The best thing to do, if you're in the US, is to call Apple at 1-800-MYAPPLE. Tell them what you need and see how they might go about fulfilling your needs.
    Good luck,

After updating with ios7, I cannot proceed because I cannot enter my password since it uses Greek letters but the keyboard available is Latin. How can I change the keyboard to Greek?

try tapping holding on the key that would be most similar to the letter you want to enter, that will bring up a menu of other characters similar to that character and maybe the greek letter will be included in that menu

Can i change the keyboard command for entering Full Screen? I don't see the option in the keyboard preferences pane.

My midi set up is fairly extensive, and what I've done is keep an up to date diagram of all my midi interfaces and device connections. I use this as the desktop background on my studio mac, and just hit F11 when I need to reference something. Simple but effective.

  • Can I change the loops chords via a controller keyboard or other?

    Hi,
I'm new to composing with GB. I mainly record my real playing on my Korg Keyboards through a mixer and a USB audio interface but I just got a bundle of Apple Loops that come with Sountrack and want to use them and create music with the loops.
MAJOR QUESTION: Can I change or modify a loop's notes? For example, it plays a C major, can I change a part of it to be F major then another part G major and so on or are they unchangeable?
I'm also planning on purchasing the new Korg MicroX which is also integrated with GB via Plug-in and will be able to save my GB settings and Korg settings through GB for each project. Pretty cool. But just wanted to make sure on that chord change issue.
I know I can use the controller to play the GB software instruments and play melodies and will be able to hook the MicroX as midi to modify the combies and sounds while recording in midi mode but would also like any clues on the loops please.
    Thank you in advance...
    Carol

    That simple huh
Thanks man... sorry for my dumb questions... I'm still new with Software editiing, I'm always used to play live and edit on my onboard sequencer since I have a Pa1xPro but I love the loops in this GB and intend to use them fully!
    Thanks again...

  • TS4589 Can I change the German keyboard on my new air to an English one?

Can I change the hard disk on my MacBook Pro to a larger one, and if so what are the sizes I can get? I bought my MacBook Pro in Feb 2006.
Also would it be possible to copy my current apps, data etc to the new drive? I.e. have a mirror image of my current laptop onto the new drive?
Whatever drive you choose to replace with, you need a magnetic 00 micro philips screwdriver to open the case and a container for each of the screws to place in their own sections in order so you return the right screws to each hole. (also a green or dark mat to catch and see any fallen tiny screws)

Before you do surgery, you use the free Carbon Copy Cloner to clone your entire boot drive (doesn't do Bootcamp) to a blank, HFS+ journaled formatted drive (equal or larger than the boot drive)
    http://www.bombich.com/
Hold option and boot from the clone, check it out and Disk Utility > repair permissions on both drives. Disconnect.
    Do your drive surgery.
Hold option and boot from the clone, use Disk Utility to Erase with Zero the new drive, format HFS+ and then use CCC to reverse clone. Repair permissions on both again.
Reboot and your Mac should be just like it was, only with a larger hard drive.
    Piece of cake.

  • Windows 7, can't change default keyboard layout.

    Hi!
It's not the first windows I install but its the first time I can't change the default keyboard layout.  As usual I go in control pannel, region & language, (tab)keybard and languages, I press on change keyboard, Added the one I want ( Canadian french keyboard ) Put it on top of the list, tryed to delete the azerty keyboard I mistakly selected during the install and the option remove is greyed out.  I tryed rebooting still the same issue. I also tryed to set it as default in the administrative tabs still no result..   Is there a regkey I can modify or something?
    thanks!

    G
    o to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Keyboard Layout\Preload\1
Change the data in 1 to be 00001009
this should change your layout to the Canadian French one
The best way to do it!
    Thank's!!
