Can't change keyword service - it auto-resets to Chrome.

Since upgrading to Firefox 5, I haven't been able to use the location bar for searches.
I followed the instructions in the Help menu - [[Location bar search|Location bar search]], but Goggle resets the service back to Chrome every time I close and re-open the browser.
I don't even have Chrome installed on my PC.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Can't Change a User's Password - "Reset Password" is Grayed Out

I'm trying to reset a user account in OS X 10.4.11 on a MacBook. I am the administrator and am logged in as such.
I have gone into System Preferences > Accounts and clicked the unlock icon, put in my admin password, and selected the other user from the list on the left (the other user is listed under "Other Accounts").
But the "Reset Password" button is simply greyed out, I can't select it. Any idea what I can do here?

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

Can't change keywords in Jpeg 2000 files

Jpeg 2000 files save with keywords without problems. When however I attempt to change the keywords in Bridge CS5, I get an error saying the file will not accept XMP metadata. Is there in fact no way to change keywords in these files?

For those following this thread: After some testing, and posting on other forums, this is what I have found with the Jpeg 2000 extension.
1. In Bridge CS5 if you click on File, the File Info menu is grayed out. So metatata is not available to see or change. Therefore, no keywords can be added.
2. In Windows Explorer the same conditions exists. Clicking on the Details tab in Properties revels no metadata. Therefore, no metadata or keywords can be added.
3. If a J2000 is opened in Photoshop CS5 and you click on File/File Info the menu works. Metatdata and keywords can be added. They will show up in Bridge, but can not be modified there.
Why PS can read them and Bridge and Win Explorer can not is a mystery.
If you decide to use J2000 format keep in mind the above limitations.

What this have to do with ESS?
Service anniversary can be counted from different field, you must ensure which field is being use. One can use hiring action date, or IT0041.

Service Applications - Service Account Auto Changing

Each time I create a service application, SP is auto-changing the service account used for the application pool identity. I set it as SP_Services in the UI of CA, then suddenly when I go back and look it has auto-changed it to SP_Farm. How
can I stop it from doing this?

I just figured out that when you open the properties from the Service Applications list it shows the SP_Farm account, but that actually is not correct. When I go to Security > Configure Service Accounts, it shows the correct service account.
I assume this means it just isn't displaying correctly in the properties page (although that is weird). When I run Get_SPServiceApplicationPool it also shows the correct ProcessAccountName, so that must be it. Though, when I go to Application Pools
under IIS it doesn't show up.

B210 - have tried resetting defaults . default IP address will not connect to network with auto IP had to set IP addrtess manually something similiar to the properties on the verzion hot spot. can not disable web services - never enabled.

Try going into the printer's EWS and using Google's public DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). It sounds like you know what you're doing so I skipped a few steps on how to get there but if you need more help with it let me know!

Can you change a group of PO's for the same Service Receipt Approver?

When a Manager leaves/moves teams, we run a report via SQ01 to find out which PO's are still open, and manually go into each and change the Service Receipt Approver tot he new Manager's ID. This is to ensure workflow works correctly for approving the receipts. This is quite a manual process, is there a way that you can do a 'find' and 'replace' type thing?

To update my query further, I know you can use "MASS" transaction but not for a user defined field. Does anyone know of something similar for a user defined field, or how to add these to the MASS trasnaction facility? Would prefer not to have to write a program to do it.

Password self-service errors - Password can be changed only once in a day

Hi experts,
We've been using password resets without issues for several months. Recently we upgraded from version 5.3 SP12 to SP14.
I've read the CUP release note that explains that how password resets now validates against the ABAP system parameter for login/password_change_waittime.
The errors we are experiencing happen even when the users' password is reset for the first time in a day.
Error message:
X Unable to reset password in the following system(s): ECDCLNT100. Password can be changed only once in a day
Please advise if you have experienced this error, if there is a resolution, and/or if there is a way to disable the parameter check.
FYI - We are only using password resets in our non-production systems and are not concerned with multiple daily password resets.
