Can't change order of images in grid or filmstrip

I am having trouble changing the order of my images in Lightroom 1.2. This occurs in the Library or Slideshow Modules and occurs when I try and do it in the grid or filmstrip. It occurs in both folders and collections. Unfortuatley, it doesnt happen all the time so I am having a hard time figuring out why I can change the order in some folders or collections and not in others. I do this by the usual drag and drop method.
It seems, that it generally works in the bottom subfolder in a main folder, or in the bottom subcollection in a main collection, but wont work in the main folder or collection if there are subfolders.
Any help would be apprecitated.

Seems like you figured it out to me. Try turning off "include photos from subitems".

Can you change the default image capture program in RH8? I have used Snagit for sooo many years and I would like to use it by clicking the Caputre button. I know how to change it to edit pictures with Snagit (Tools > Options > Associations), but not to capture.

Lightroom 1.4 Won't Let Me Change Order of Images

I'm guessing there is some silly little thing I am doing wrong but I haven't figured it out. Not always, but on a number of occasions, I have been unable to drag and drop images to but them in a different order. The program basically just ignores me.
Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks.

I have the same problem. Cannot change order in either slideshow or web gallery mode. I do not use subfolders in collections so that's not the problem.

Can't change a linked image???

I have a lot left to learn in Dreamweaver but linking images I've done alot, I hope someone can help me on what I'm doing wrong. The linked image won't let me change links. Here is the home page http://kmmcement.com/. The bottom right picture under click to view slideshow is linked to slideshow.html. I changed the slideshow and named the new one ss.html. When I right click the picture and choose Change Link and select my new ss.html, it does not change it in the code. I tried manually to change it in the code and publish, but the new page won't load up (although when I preview the page, it loads fine.)
The only thing I've done differently on this site is that I finally learned to get the bottom navigation links to work without looking jumpy and jittery when clicking or rolling over them, by going to Modify - Page Properties and choosing links and set them up there (basic that I should've learned awhile ago). I didn't do the navigation bar until last, so would that have anything to do with not being able to change the link? If so, then how can I change it to where only the bottom navigation has it's own style as I'm sure there's going to be alot more links I'm going to be adding.

Can you change the order of photos within an album?

Not natively in the iPad Photos app. Synced photo albums must be rearranged on the computer and then synced again. Camera roll photos can not be rearranged either. There are third party apps that allow you rearrange photos.
Look at Photo Sort for the iPad for one such app.

How can I change the default image editor in OS 9?

I'd like to open some jpgs (that I created in OS 10.7), but my OS 9 PBook is alerting me that the Photoshop cannot be found. It then presents me with a list of programs to open it with (Pshop is shown there and I can open the file this way or through the program itself).
How can I change it so it finds pshop and will open the jpgs directly?

My memory is rusty but I am sure it has to do with type and creator codes. I can't recite specifics so have attached some links to read.

No - that is not possible.
You may consider creating an RMA; receive the old order and then create a new sales order and ship against that sales order.

Can you change toolbar button images in SQL Server 2012?

In SQL Server 2012 management studio I do not see an option to change the button image of the buttons on the toolbar.
In previous versions of SQL, you could go to Tools --> Customize --> Rearrange Commands, select the toolbar, click on a command and then click "Modify Selection". One of the resulting choices was "Change Button Image". You could
choose a different image for the toolbar button you selected. Another choice was "Edit Button Image" which allowed you to create a completely new image for your toolbar button.
I do not see any way to do this in SQL Server 2012. Has this functionality been removed or am I just not finding it?

Can't Change Order In Portfolio

I want to be able to change the order of documents in my portfolio to exactly what i want it to be and not some weird autosort. I found a section in the regular adobe Help section but it says to add a column of a specific type (i picked numbers) and then it says to just type in a number for each document...it wont let me type in any numbers anywhere. So i dont really see the point in creating a specific column when I cant even put info into that column.
Any hints??

What version of Acrobat Professional are you using? In Acrobat X you can drag files to reorder them (e.g. in Grid or in the Mini nav of the Click Thru layout).
In Acrobat 9, you would need to control this by using sort in combination with file names or other columns.
Make sure you are in edit mode
In the Edit PDF Portfolio panel, expand the Specify File Details accordion
Add a column (example: name it Order and select number as the type)
Click the + button.
Make sure you change the "Initial Sort" to the new column
You should be able to type in that column. If not, then I'll need to find out more about what's going on.

How can i change the boot image in 10.4.3

when i was running 10.3, i always had a special startup image that i frequently changed. i used the program macboot, which is no longer compatible with 10.4. does anyone know of a good program for this?

I am not 100% sure what you want to achieve, but let me take a stab at it.
You can select from what volume you wish to boot from by holding the option key as you start up the computer.
Altrenatively, you can select the drive to boot from in System Prefs> System> startup disk.

How can I change order of email accounts in Mail on Mountain Lion?

In Mail on Mountain Lion I have only two email accounts, but the wrong one has been set as default (because it was an account I had overlooked and added later). I cannot find how to change the order of the email accounts. One possibility is to delete the non-default account and re-add it, so that it becomes the most recent and thus (presumably) the default, but this would delete all the email messages in that account, which I cannot afford.
It's a great flaming pain to try to remember each email I write to select the second account option, and yet I can find no way to change email account order---not in Mail and not in System Preferences. Dragging them certainly does not work.
Can Apple have really missed this? Is there any solution?

Comfortable with terminal...know how to edit using TextEdit:
Open up a Terminal and use the following commands to change your Mail.app preferences file to an XML format – the default format is binary, and you can't edit this.
cd ~/Library/Preferences
plutil -convert xml1 com.apple.mail.plist
Then, open this file com.apple.mail.plist with a text editor of your choice, preferably one that highlights XML syntax, but you can also use TextEdit:
open -a "TextEdit" com.apple.mail.plist
Now, look for the key called MailAccounts. It's value is an array, with dict children. Here, you'll find all your mail accounts in the order they were created in.
You can now manually move these dict children around. Save the XML file and reopen Mail. Now, your Mail account order will be changed.

How can I change the highlight color of grid view folders in the dock?

Using OSX 10.10 Yosemite, the highlight color for a folder in Grid view is barely noticeable.

I've grown accustom to clicking the applications folder in the doc then typing a few letters to get me close to the app I want- now it takes an extra few seconds for me to visually find the icon that got highlighted.

I would open up the grid spacing slightly so everything does not run together. In System Preferences > General, try setting Highlight color: Red. This won't change the grey selection background around the icon, but it will turn the background behind the icon text to red. That stands out. However, the collateral effect is that text you select in this editor, and other OS X applications, will now have a red background too. Changing colors will require a killall Finder in the Terminal. Actually set mine to #ffff00 which is a vivid yellow, which is more practical when selecting text in a document.

How can I change visibility of images pasted on the front panel?

I'm using LabView 8.5 and I have pasted images on my front panel.
Is there a way to programmatically change the visibility of these images (i.e. have them displayed sometimes and not at other times)?
There doesn't seem to be an option to get a visibility node (or anything else programatic) when I secondary click on the images.
Alternatively, if there is some kind of control in 8.5 that I could load and display images in order to obtain this visible/not visible functionality, that would also be helpful.

How can I change the Y-axis (circular) grid spacing, in Polar Plot VI?

When using Polar Plot VI, I need more control over the plotting parameters. This means tweaking the sub-VIs in various ways. What I need to do most is make the polar magnitude axis less busy, i.e. only draw circles every 10 instead of every 5 divisions, when using a range of 0 (outermost) to -80 (innermost).
The magic 'magnitude axis subdivisions' variable seems to be generated in Calc Scale Specs sub-VI, and output as an array of clusters, but I can't quite see how it's created and from what.
Please can anyone help me gain control over the number of magnitude division circles generated?

I think if you go inside the Calc Increment.vi and modify the Increment output terminal it might change what you want to see. Try putting a multiply by 5 or ten into the case structure for when the log is false.

Can you change the background image in IP Communicator

Can you load an image file from you local workstation as the background in IP communicator?

The first image worked great, but...
I made and applied all the correct directories, images, and files needed for the custom background.
I tested it on IP communicator and it worked great, with the image showing up as selection 2.
Then I added another image selection; meaning I added the formatted image files and edited .xml file.
Restarted IP Communicator and it still only shows the 1st custom image I created.
I have checked and rechecked the .xml file along with the formatting of the images and still only 1 custom image is there.
Ideas -
Maybe there is a ?reload? command that I need to use on the phone itself?
Is there any difference if the image is loaded on a Subscriber or Publisher
- Currently I have it loaded on a subscrber that I also have confirmed that is set as the TFTP server for the IP Communicator.
