Can't change the Message Centre Number in my Nokia...

I have a 3 day old Nokia X. I can't send text messages due to wrong the message centre number set in my Nokia X device. When I try to change it in settings, a pop-up appears which say "It is bad to change SMSC Number. Do you want to change ?". I choose "Ok". Then nothing changes Message Centre Number is set on "+7" and does not changes. I have tried many things including removing battery and SIM Card without switching off the device and reseting the device to Factory Defaults. But the problem persists. It doesn't changes. I live in New Delhi, India.
Any help will be appriciated.

No I am not able to resolve the issue.
I reset my phone without the SIM Card also but same thing repeats. I can't change the Message Centre Number. It reverts to +7 when I try and change it in settings with the pop up "Changing the SMSC may cause problems sending messages, to confirm the change ?". Then I tap "OK" and nothing changes the Message Centre Number is still +7.

How can we change the message type?

Hello all
We use SRM server 5.5 with classic scenario.
When we create shopping cart, we implemented the Change Badi to assign the purchasing group from R/3 material master.
We implemented the following logic.
If material master in R/3 has no purch. Group, SRM also has no purch. Group. So SRM display the error message You should select the purch. group to determine the purchasing group in basic view.
But, We have the standard error message, when we choose the material code this material code has no purch. Group in R/3 No purchasing groups were found.
Message number is BBP_ATTR050.
Because of this message, we can not progress the process to create shopping cart.
Can we change the message type from Error to Warning Message?
Or, Can we delete this message?

Yes. You are right.
When user choose the material code, there is no purch. group in 1st Step, but
we want to choose the purch. group in 2nd Step on basic view.
But we have the error message at 1st step. so we can not progress to 2nd Step.
If we use dummy purch. group, user could make the human mistake.
So our customer want to remove purch. group and choose the purchasing group by user.
But i'm not sure if we remove this error message, we got solve this problem..
Pls give me an idea..

I don't care the calories as I am a skinny person, what I care is the volume of exercise like number of steps?
Seems other brand like Fitbit are all using that as the goal standard, Apple should open this option as well.

I agree... it makes sense to be able to change the goals to steps.
However, you may want to consider how you look at calories. Most people think of calories with regard to dieting. However, it is really just a measurement of energy used. For example, yesterday I went on a 3 mile hike to a nearby mountain top (1200' elevation gain) and noticed I has about 5,000 steps and burned 500 calories to get there. On the way back, I also had about 5000 steps, but burned only about 200 calories.
If these were two separate workouts, both would be 5000 steps, but the first one used over twice the energy than the first. To me, the calories used is a much better metric to compare workouts (and a logical choice for a fitness goal). Calories also lets you compare different workout types (walking, running, biking, etc.) that you can't compare with steps.

You only get that when you have two or more consecutive messages. Try to avoid that is one option.
You can change the icon if you want. Create another icon, call it stop.ico and put it in the icons directory (as indicated by UI_ICON). However, if you have a STOP alert, the icon changes for that alert too.
Note: this is for Developer 6i. In 9i you cannot use ico files. Use gif files instead and put the image in the image jar file (found in OH/forms90/java directory). Since you see a big X, I believe you are using 6i.

How can I change the message for an error and then cancel it

Hi everyone.
I am currently developing an application where I have to use a trigger (DAQmx). Now it can happen, that the user (who will operate the device later on) can activate the trigger without a valid source. After a timeout, he will get a quite strange message stating he either might want to wait longer (Error -200284 occurred at DAQmx Read). I would like to redefine this error.
So if this error number appears, he should get a message saying: "Your request couldn't be executed, since no valid trigger signal was found".
How would I do this .. Thanks for help

There are different ways. As you describe it, you'd like to cancel the occuring error (-200284) and show another message. I attach a vi with a view ways.

i moved countries so i bought a new sim card, my phone is unlocked i bought it from apple store at square one which is located in Canada, toronto. the main issue im facing with my iphone is i can not change my facetime number and Imessage. any help please?

If so, try removing your iPhone from being associated with your Apple ID per the instructions included with this link. I would turn iMessage and FaceTime off on your iPhone before doing so.

After doing this, your new phone number should be registered with your Apple ID for iMessage and FaceTime when turning both back on with your iPhone.

Can I change the default phone number format?

I a new BB user and have so much to learn! I got a Storm (bad choice) 6 weeks ago and thought BBs were ridiculous. Then I got the Tour and am pobably converted for life.
In my contacts, most of my phone numbers show up as 4395551234 which is hard to read. I have some others that show (439) 555-1234. I have added dashes to some numbers to make them easier to see. Is there anyway to change the option so numbers are automatically displayed in a certain format? And why would some be different than others? I can't figure out a reason some are changed.
BTW, I am a devoted Mac user and love the new Desktop Software.

Since your phone is up to date, try going into Settings>Store>Apple ID and replace the old one with the new one. Plug into the computer with the new Apple ID and transfer your purchases.

Remember that the partner determination must allow for this partner to be changed.

Message Centre Number on N96.....

I have recently bought a new N96 on a vodafone contract, and as i was previously on 02 i had to wait a few days for them to transfer my number over.... My number then got transfered over yesterday and i then went to send a text message and it asked for my message centre number which i didnt know at the time so i just put in my mobile number as i didnt have a clue what the message centre number was... I have just got my message centre number from someone over the phone but i keep trying to change it and it just comes up with the message "unable to change settings. Value read from SIM card" can anyone give me any assistance on how to get this properly working...
Cus i've now got a new phone and cant send any texts on it.

This number is used to configure your phone for sending text messages.

Before that reset ur phone to default factory settings........
*#7780# with default code 12345 but do make a back up
second option: try to create a new message centre number.
messaging->options->text message->message centres->options->new message centre
enter the correct information, then go back to textmessage->message centre in use. and choose the new message centre.
last option left which is to head to the vodafone shop, they will help you configure the phone or change the sim card for you.
