Can't click on anything in the music store - HELP!

For some reason, I am unable to click on anything in the music store. I am unable to scroll up or down the page.
I CAN click on "search" and type in an artist/song and it takes me to my search. I can click on a song and it plays. I can also use the 'house' symbol and get back to the main page. But, when I try to click on anything else, nothing works. It is like there is no link.
Did I 'lock' something?
I am very frustrated! I have tried restarting. Can't quite understand and have never had or heard of this problem before!
TIA!
Nicole

I am glad I'm not the only one with this problem! (Well, not 'glad', but I am not alone!)
I sent an email through the technical support last night. I got this response today: (Seems like they know about it)

  • I can't click on anything on the top of my screen.. help!

    Hello,
When I first got firefox, it worked great, and i fell in love with it. But recently, something's happened. For some reason, I can't click on anything at the top of my screen. For example, if I go to Facebook, you know how you have to type you email and password in? Well it won't let me click in the bow to type them in. I also can't search google or go on youtube because of this. Please help! I've tried a lot, like downloading the newest version a few days ago, but no luck. I'm not sure what else I can try. Any suggestions or things that may get rid of this problem would be much appreciated.

Both the Yahoo! Toolbar extension and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause an issue like that. Disable or uninstall those add-ons.

  • When I connect itouch to the pc i can't click on any of the music stored?

Hey i just bought an itouch 2nd generation and have just finished transferring all my songs in my itunes library onto it. I did this by selecting them all and dragging them. A couple of songs did not transfer as I had moved them to a diff folder. On my itunes library I located them succesfully and then tried dragging the couple of songs individually onto the ipod - no dice.
I clicked on my ipod music and the entirety is all in grey text and can't be clicked. I can't right click, select any song, or sort them by artist, genre, song, etc. It is as though the ipod library is frozen - yet i can still scroll. This is the same for the movies. (and i've only uploaded movies and music). As far as I can tell, itunes is not doing anything - such as syncing or updating album artwork - so I can't figure out what's wrong.
When i unplug the ipod, i can locate the music on the machine - it's just when i plug into the computer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Unlike older generation iPods, you can't drag things onto a touch. The only way you can see what has been loaded is a rather broad summary presented at the bottom of your iTunes Summary page.
Not true -- if you manually manage the Touch you can drag and drop to it. You can also see exactly what's on the Touch, not just a "summary". As a device in the source column in iTunes, expand the Touch's contents by clicking the small triangle to the left of the Touch's name. You'll then be able to browse the various folders on the Touch (i.e. Music, Video, etc.) Even if you auto-sync, you can expand the Touch's contents to see what's on it (though you can't edit it).
By the sounds of it, the OP has the Touch in auto-sync mode, which won't let you drag and drop nor edit individual items on the Touch. Maybe it started in manual mode, but was changed to auto-sync mode.

  • After updating my Mac mini gets to the login screen, but I can't click on anything.  The arrow is there and I can move it around, but doesnt allow me to click on anything

I have a Logitech mouse and keyboard that worked fine before the update. Now I can't get past the login in screen, because I'm unable to click on anything.  I have the arrow and it moves around, but won't click on anything

Try using the arrow keys to move around. Press enter to the account you want to go to. I don't know if you can access the password bar after this... it's all I know for now.

  • I can no longer purchase anything at the iTunes store.  I get error 45064

For the past 18 months I have not been able to purchase items here in Germany.  My situation is a bit odd, I have my computer and  IP in Germany, my billing is a USA account.  I continually get error 45054.  No matter what I do, it does not work. I've even gone so far as to cancel my account and delete all iTunes files, nothing works.  However, when visiting the USA, I brought my laptop, joined iTunes and was able to purchase music. However, the second I tried to do so, with the same laptop, after returning to Germany, I received the same error notice.
I suspect it's a tax issue, music purchased here in Germany through iTunes is significantly more expensive than the USA site.  I'd like find out if an iTunes technician can figure this one out, perhaps even remoting into my computer.

If you are in Germany then you can only use the German iTunes store - you have to be in a country to use its store, using a country's store when not in that country is a violation of the store's terms (terms that you've agreed to) and Apple could permanently disable your account.
Edit : just noticed that your tagline says Windows
This appears to have worked for at least one person : -45054 error on 1 profile, but not the other
Or you could try the troubleshooting on this page which has been posted in response to a couple of 45054 threads : Can't connect to the iTunes Store - Apple Support
If they don't work then you could try asking in the iTunes For Windows forum on here.

Why does it now tell me I ended credit card details to install an app and why has the error occurred with my bank details?

  • I cant click on anything in the App Store?

I just got a brand new iPad 2 16GB yesterday.
Today, I updated to iOS5, and ever since Ive done that, when I go on the catogories on the app store, and try to click on a catogory it will not let me.. Also when i click on an app to view the Information. It also wont let me. I can only click on buy now or install.. I dont know why this is happening and I want to know why. Its really bad because I cant get any apps because i like to read about them before buying or getting them.
    Thanks!

    Try resetting your iPad.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
No data is lost as a result of a reset.
    Then try the App Store.

  • Why can't I get anything in the app store?

Everytime I open up the app store It won't let me touch the free button n won't let me get apps

This is a bug experienced by quite a few users lately that I'm sure Apple is aware of and working on. I have never had this problem, so I can't speak for myself, but I would try a reset. Hold the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears. No data will be lost.

  • Can't click on anything using the cursor after saving or printing.

    So I'm using CS3 on Mac with 10.4.11 on a 2 x 2.66 Ghz Dual-Core Intel Xeon, 5GB of 667 MHz DDR2-DIMM ram machine. Also I have a Wacom Intuos 3 Graphics Tablet.
Basically, after I print or save ANY file in illustrator, right after it's completed without warnings or error messages, I have no ability to click on any object on the pasteboard or click on any tools or pallettes. i can use items from the top menus and keyboard shortcuts. Also it SOMETIMES happens after using the live trace command. My current work around is to open a new document, close it and return to the page without problems.
    Seriously annoying!
    Has anybody had this issue?
    thanks
    mel

I've tried all the above except the safe mode boot. That's because I started to suspect the plugins i've added. I have added the CadTools and Scriptographer plugins. removing each from the my plugin folder separately revealed that Scriptographer is the culprit. Thankfully it wasn't Cadtools as that's more critical for me.
    thanks for your help.

  • Can I Buy an iPod in the Music Store w/ a money from Gift Certificates?

    Hello,
I have Windows Xp and I was wondering if I could purchase a new iPod with money from my Gift Certificates. I currently have an iPod nano and it won't hold all of my songs so I was going to get a more space efficient iPod. I don't have a credit card on my account right now, but I have plenty money credited to my account from Christmas. I have over $300, so I'd have enought to purchase an iPod there.
    Thanks, Bye

    Quoted from

    tificate/
"gift certificates are not accepted for online Apple
    Store purchases."
The iTMS is only a place to purchase audio or video.
Apple does not offer any of it's own products for
    purchase via the iTMS.
now in the itms you can actually buy ipods straight through itunes. i dont know if you can use your itunes music card credits on your account, but it cant hurt to try? let me know if it works, thatd be really convenient if it does, especially if you got a lot of music cards for gifts.

  • Can't find a song in the music store

Hi! I want to download a song, but it only appears remixed, and I want it original, plain. Is there a way to request a song?

I have the latest iTunes version and haven't seen that feature.
From the iTunes menu bar you will find it at iTunes>Provide iTunes Feedback.
It is also on the main iPod +iTunes page. Click on the iPod + iTunes tab at the top of this page and look near the bottom, its in small type with a pencil icon next to it.
    Hope this helps.

  • HT5699 i brought this computer by a pron shop but i can't get buy anything from the app store

    Need help

The system is tied to the Apple ID of the previous owner.  The system should have been wiped clean and the original OS installed on it before you got it.
You will need to do that in order to use the system. How you do that depends on what OS was originally installed on the machine when it shipped from Apple.
You can use  the system, type,  model identifier or serial number  at the Apple site to get this info

    * Internet security software

Thank you for your response. I am curious to know why if iTunes does not
answer non technical questions, why I received information when I replied to this
email. Listed below are the previous threads providing technical information.
Furthermore, if this is email is for billing disputes, I would like to have
my Mastercard credited $25.87 for a "gift this purchase/tv show" that I
purchased for my uncle on Christmas Day. I purchased the full first season of Monk.
I previously sent an email requesting credit on approximately January 2,
2006, and failed to receive a response. He never received the gift, or any
instructions about how to download the tv show, and I do not show a credit
appearing on my credit card. I would like to have credit for services not received.
Please credit the following card #XXXX

    Dear Emily,
Thank you for contacting the iTunes Music Store. Use the steps in the
following article to troubleshoot your connection problem.
I have been unable to connect for more than 24 hours on Windows.
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Music Store for more than a
day—and other customers on our discussion boards aren't experiencing similar
issues—a software or ISP configuration issue may be blocking your access to
    the iTunes Music Store.
    • Your copy of the iTunes application may be out of date.
    • If iTunes is out of date, it will not be able to connect to the
iTunes Music Store. You can download the latest version of iTunes from our
    website: ?http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
    • You installed a third-party anti-virus or personal firewall
    application.
    • You will need to configure your software to allow iTunes to access
the Music Store. You can contact the software manufacturer if you have
questions regarding configuration. Click here for more information.
    • You upgraded to Windows XP Service Pack 2.
    • Windows XP Service Pack 2, by default, enables the Windows Firewall.
As with a third-party firewall, you will need to configure Windows Firewall
to allow iTunes to access the Music Store. Read this document for more
information. If you have further questions about configuring the Windows Firewall,
    contact Microsoft's Service Pack 2 hotline at (888) SP2-HELP.
    • You upgraded to a high-speed or wireless Internet connection.
    • A new DSL or cable modem, or even a router, could be the culprit.
These devices allow your computer to access the Internet at a much higher speed,
or route your connection to multiple computers. However, they can also expose
your computer to hackers. To help prevent this, manufacturers of these
products often install firewalls to prevent hackers and viruses from compromising
your system. Although this layer of protection is beneficial, there are
occasions when a device may determine that the iTunes Music Store is a threat to the
computer. If this is the case, you will need to configure these devices to
allow iTunes to access the Music Store. Contact your ISP or the device
manufacturer if you need help configuring your device.
    • You switched to a new ISP.
    • If you didn't install new networking hardware, your ISP may be
blocking access to the iTunes Music Store. Let your ISP know about this document
which can help your them configure their servers to allow iTunes Music Store
    traffic through.
    Sincerely,
    The iTunes Music Store team

The error message I am receiving is "iTunes cound not connect to the Music

connect to the music store for at least 3-4 days. I have been using iTunes
since last October, successfully. I checked all my network connections & they
are fine. I am able to connect to AOL. I even uninstalled and reinstalled
iTunes several times, all successfully, but I am still encountering a problem.

Nice, effective customer service. I'm at my wit's end. I field customer service calls, and answer emails at work, and the general responses from the iTunes response library are ridiculous. Especially, after emailing me twice technical support emails, they tell me they do not handle technical support questions...
Any help or suggestions as to how I should respond to the next email is helpful...
I also forgot to mention I have been able to connect to iTunes since October 2005, and have been unable to connect for almost 2 weeks now. And, yes, I have downloaded the latest version of iTunes. I was advised over the phone to upgrade to XP Service Pack 2, but it looks like SP2 has issues. ANd, no, I did not download SP2, because the customer support rep admitted he knew nothing to very little about iTunes.
    Emily

    Emily,
thanks for your posting, it just reflects my experience (although I didn't contact the helpdesk, but after what you wrote I think I can skip that part). I am livin in China and buy from the German MS, worked fine until about a week ago when the download of an album stopped just after 5 songs. I have never been able to connect to the shop ever since.
The interesting thing is, that I get a response from their server in the domain phobos.apple.com (phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/storeFront) which I would interpret that there can't be a problem which they always list (Antivirus, Firewall etc...)
So will there ever be somebody from Apple who is going to give a better explanation how to solve the problem ? Or are there already too many people buying iPods and music ???

  • Where has the music store gone?

    Hi there,
I have just moved to South Africa with a new Touch so I've been a bit preoccupied recently. I have now realised that iTunes opens in the Apps Store and I can't find my way to the music store
Where has it gone and is there a way I can change it back to opening there again?
    Many thanks,
    Russell

Sigh.... This has been asked and answered here dozens of times. Music, movie and video content in the iTunes Store will come to other countries if and when Apple can work out all the multitude of licensing, copyright and royalty issues with all the various entities that hold the distribution rights in your country, along with any legal and infrastructure issues that might arise.
