Can't close Bridge to continue download
I purchase a CS5.5 upgrade and after entering my serial number started my installation. I was then instructed to close CS5.5 Bridge in order to continue. How can I close CS5.5 Bridge before it has been installed. I have no Bridge versions of any kind open. I rebooted to make sure nothing was open and tried again and got the same prompt. Don't know what to do next???

You're installing an upgrade, are you not? so there is some version of Bridge on the system. -->Task Manager or Activity Monitor --> Processes --> Bridge.exe/ Bridge.app. Right-click, terminate.

Bipin: If you have all the above product installed on your computer and you are not able to find the bridge installed on your computer, please uninstall the Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign and reinstall that, the Adobe Bridge will get installed on your computer.

How do I close bridge application to continue with CS6 download if app not currently open?
I am trying to upgrade CS5 to CS6. I have downloaded the application and have attempted to run the install from the applications manager box but am getting a box which says I need to close down Bridge to continue with the install but neither Photoshop or Bridge are open. Do I need to remove CS5 altogether before I can install CS6?

Adobe flashplayer won't continue downloading until I close Mozilla Foxfire. Adobe says it's conflicting the download. How do I close Mozilla Firefox so I can finish my download of Adobe Flash Player? And then how will I turn Foxfire back on once Adobe Flash Player is done downloading?
To close Firefox, in the menus select "File > Exit", you can start Firefox by using the same shortcut that you used to open Firefox originally.
I would ignore the instructions from Adobe. Adobe uses its own download manager but it is not required. All you need to do to install Adobe Flash is download the Adobe Flash manual installer and run it. I can't shut down my computer because it says mail is open. It says to close mail and continue shut down. Problem is I can't open or close mail now. Can't shut down my computer at all. What can I do?
If you cannot get mail to quit/force quit, you can always remove power from your Mac.
NOTE: removing power is a bad idea, and can result in data loss, but sometimes it is the only thing left to do.
Press and hold the power button for 5 to 10 seconds, and the Mac will power off.
When you power back on, the Mac should reboot. -

Download only one application at a time.
Click all downloading applications until they all say "Paused". Then click one at a time, let it complete downloading, then click the next and repeat. -

I keep trying to install flash for win7 pro 64 bit and it stops half way through and even though I've closed IE, it will not get past 50%. The other thing that concerns me is that flash 32 bit is installed but I can't uninstall it even using adobe's uninstall. May I ask your intention by doing this? Is the particular message harmful to your computer?
Which type of email account are you using? If you want to prevent a particular message from being downloaded to Outlook, we can login to the web interface of your email account and then remove the particular email from your Inbox.

I don't know enough about the new Air. How do I keep the programs running after I have installed them and do I need to close them in downloader so they will contunie to run?
No. You can remove the files from the Downloads folder once the apps are installed.
You really don't want to leave your apps running all the time.
When you are finished using an app, go to the menu bar top of the screen, click the app name on the left then from the drop down menu click (app name) Quit.
You can also use a keyboard shortcut to quit an app. Command + Q
You can relaunch your apps from the Dock or your Applications folder. -
Trying to download PS CC on second computer (dell laptop-windows 7) but get error that I should close Bridge.exe ........................this file is not open..........I have both cs4 and cs5.1 on this laptop..............as well as the associated bridge files...........should I uninstall all of the OLD PS stuff, before attempting to install the PS CC..........................keep in mind I want to also download LR 5, after PS CC is installed correctly.
Terminate the process in task manager or turn off Minibridge in the PS prefs and restart your system.
