Can't close pop up ad in Words with Friends
IWhile playing Words With Friends got a pop up ad for Verizon that will not close and can't continue playing. Clicking on top right hand close X does not work
I have noticed the same problem when using Win 8 Pro. Works fine with Win 7 Pro. CHrome also doesn't work from Win 8 but Sarfari works partially. Problem with it is you need to refresh (F5) the screen after each completed play.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.

Badge problem on words with friends
The game always shows 3 more badges than games ready to play. Does anyone have this problem or know a fix. I have tried uninstalling, pretty much everything I can think of. Thanks

Does the chat feature in Words With Friends count against your texting on Verizion or your Data?
One of the biggest things people dont realize is how much data your phone uses when you are not even using it. When you enable push notifications on your phone it is constantly updating with the apps servers to serve those notifications to you. Even when your phone screen is black it is still doing this so you are using data that whole time. Once a family memeber of mine went overseas and forgot to turn off all these on their phone and were not happy with their bill when they got back since data charges overseas on average are about 25 cents for every x amount of MB and your phone can use a TON of data.
Words with friends uses the data part of your plan when chatting which IMO will charge you more in the end due to overages. -
I have 2 games Words with Friends and Cityville that receives a Pop-up message form iTunes... "Connect to iTunes to use Push Notifications" and will not allow me to exit out of the app or play. How can I get this message to STOP?
Yes - I connected my phone to my computer / Itunes and went into the apps section, but from there I have no idea how to manage the push notifications. I even tryied going into itunes that is installed on my phone. I still cannot find anyplace to manage these popups. I have also gone into settings - notifiations - and tried turning all notifications for these apps all off but that didnt work either. Any guidance is MUCH appreciated - Im not sure where to go from here.

Every since I have upgraded to IOS7 on my ipad, Words with Friends only displays in the portrait position. I cannot get it to be landscape. Can anyone help me out. I have turned it off and started again and keep turning the ipad only to have it go to portrait in the opposite side.
The "Use custom settings for history" selection allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting this doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings.
Firefox shows "Use custom settings for history" as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".
"Never Remember History" means that Private Browsing is active and "Always use private browsing mode" gets a checkmark.
The default settings mean that cookies are enabled and thus should work.
Did you try to delete the cookies from the bank site?
Details like websites remembering you (log you in automatically) are stored in a cookie.
*Create a cookie 'allow' exception to keep such cookies, especially in case of secure websites and when cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
*Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: Exceptions
In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" or otherwise clear history:
*do not clear the Cookies
*do not clear the Site Preferences
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings

Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.
Clearing cookies will remove all specified (selected) cookies including cookies with an allow exception that you would like to keep. -
First, let me say I have the latest version of Firefox and Adobe Flash Player and Java Script. When I click to play Words With Friends (on pc) my computer starts racing and sounds loud and every thing freezes. If I try to click on slider or anything else, it says Mozilla Firefox (not responding), then it takes several minutes and a box pops up that says something about a script, do I want to continue or ?(I can't remember), after I click continue, I can play the game, but, at any given time Firefox will stop responding again!! A box also pops up from AVG saying that Firefox is using too much memory. Just an aside, I can play Scrabble on Facebook without any problems whatsoever. Please help, it is driving me crazy. Thanks
Sounds that you are missing the plugin that is used to play those videos embedded in Firefox.<br />
Your system details list doesn't show any media player plugin, so you will either have to check if the plugin(s) are installed, but disabled or install missing plugins.

You may need the new WMP plugin (np-mswmp.dll) because Flash always uses a dedicated player to play the videos and would never offer to save videos directly unless an extension is used.

I had previously downloaded Words with Friends (app was .99 cents). It has suddenly disappeared from my phone. Went back to the App Store to download it again, but it says it is installed. I can't find it? Any sugestions?

Question about "words with friends" rules-can more than 1 person play on the same Ipod device?
I have a Ipod touch 5th Generation and I like to play the free game version of "Words with Friends" Can other family members in my house sign up to play on my Ipod using a different user name? I have tried to figure this part out and there's no clue available on the "Words with Friends" website. Thanks for your help again!!! Since it has happened previously, it is likely someone you know or who has access to your systems, or has access to recovery information with that game vendor. I seem to recall that vendor being called out for account security issues in the past, but can't say for sure.On the other hand, the symptoms you describe do not necessarily mean you have been "hacked", could be just that something is amiss with the app.

Which version did you buy on your iPad ? If you bought the HD version then that is only compatible with the iPad, so you will need to buy the iPhone/Pod version (or download the free version) if you want to use it on your iPhone.
