Can't configure date/Time Change by command in W7

Hello,
I need to synchronize all my computers, we got a program who does that (and it works), but not on Windows 7.
Doing a research I found that is for the administrator privileges. I assume there are two ways for solving my issue.
 1) Launch the command as administrator.
 2) Change the privileges of who can change the date/time.
About 1), I haven't found nothing of how I can launch it as administrator by program. I know I can do right click and "Launch as administrator" but I need to do it without a mouse and keyboard.
About 2), I already did this: Edit Group Policy/Local Policy/User Rights Assignment/Change the system Time. And I set it to "All Users". But it doesn't work.Yes, I reboot after changes.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi Gustavo,
If you mean to synchronize time in Windows 7 and assume we are in a domain environment, the first blog shared by britishdhez is a good reference.

  • IPhoto Batch Date/Time change Suggestion

I recently traveled overseas with my family to a time zone that was +4:30 from my current location. During our trip I took 800+ photographs from my digital camera, 60+ from my iPhone and lots of video from my camcorder. It didn't occur to me until I got back home that not only did I not set the digital and camcorder to the local time where I was vacationing but also my digital camera had somehow been set 2-days back but with the correct home time. So it was actually 2days 4hours and 30minutes behind the time that it should have been. My iPhone photographs were fine because I set it to the local time as soon as I landed there.
Once I synced my camera & phone photographs I realized my problem as my entire vacation was in a jumbled mess. So then I went through the photographs and split the digital camera and iPhone photographs into 2 albums which was not too hard. Thereafter, I went through the digital camera photographs and adjusted the date/time stamp. Some of them I could do in batches, which is not very easy as you need to look at the current date/time stamp, then select the photographs you want to change and then do the math before making the change. The most of it I had to do individually to make sure they wouldn't get jumbled with the iPhone photographs I had taken. So to say the least, to adjust 800+ photographs took a long time and a lot of effort.
My suggestion is a simple batch change like what is available already, but with the option to advance or regress the date/time stamp letting the system use the current date/time stamp.

That command is the adjust time/date command - not the batch change command
Adjust T/D takes a group of selected photos and applies a constant delta to them thereby correcting for camera setting errors or time zone issues
Also note that this is a user to user support forum not a path to Apple - it is a great plce for questions about how iPhoto works - it is an extremely poor place to make requests for changes since there is no one here who can do that.

  • How can I stamp date & time

    Hello,
How can I stamp date&time on my photos which taken by my iphone 4
    Regards
    Yasser

Easy - if it is on the photo and you can see it then it is on the photo and
You can not [remove it] - you can sort of obscure it using the retouch in iPhoto and if you have PhotoShop or PhotoShop elements the clone tool will do a better job
It is part of the photo and there is nothind "behind" it to show - in the future do not set your camera to include it
The EXIF data ia internal to the photo and is never shown on the photo - it can ony be seen using special software that understands it and then it is displayed seperate form the photo never on the photo - like the info pane in iPhoto which shows selected EXIF information

  • Convert date/time to HEX command and write to a bin file

    Hello,
I have to do the following thing. I have the date/time string, let's say 08:45:23, 12.08.09, where the hour, the minutes, the seconds, the day, the month and the year represent hex number or in other words I have the following command:
    Byte 0 - Byte 5
    0x08; 0x45; 0x23; 0x12; 0x08; 0x09;
Now I want to write this command in a binary file in order to send thefile later throught serial RS232 connection.
Now, I am not sure whether I write the command in the binary file in the correct format. What I simply do is to write it as a string
("084523120809"). Is this the correct way. I guess no, because when transmitted it does not work as expected.
How can I write this string as a HEX command in the binary file?
Thanks for the replies in advance

Do you know the difference between decimal and hex values? It's not the same, that the whole point, and it's why it doesn't make sense. Decimal 32 is not the same as hex 32. These are two different values, even though they both have the digits "3" and "2". The hex value will be the same as the decimal value up to the value of 9. In your example the hour is 8. In decimal this is 8, in hex this is 8. The minutes is 45. That's decimal. In hex, this is 2D, not 45, as you claim in your example. Hex 45 is a completely different number (and a completely different "pattern").

  • Date & Time changed by itself - VIRUS ?

Wonder if anyone of you can understand this strange behaviour.
When I boot up this morning (not connected to Internet yet - Airport off, no internet connection), I have the following messages:
    1. A series of 4 messages asking to "Deny" or "Allow" 4 programs requests - can't remember the exact request but the Help screen (smaller question mark at bottom left corner) explained the programs are asking for something. The programs have names of 4 to 5 letters something like "pbkp" etc Note. just an illustration not the exact name. Forgot to write them down.
    2. One message warning my computer date and time set to sometime in 2008 !!!
    I did the following:
    1. Clicked "Deny" to all four requests.
    2. Go to System Preferences - Date & Time was set to "Set date and time automatically" - but the date and time was changed to above.
I then connect to Internet - the date and time were reset automatically to the correct date and time.
It is now more than 10 hours since and I have no problems.
But, should I be concern with:
    1. why the date and time was changed?
    2. the appearing of the 4 messages?
I understand we should not get viruses with Mac.
Is there anything I should do to cleanse the computer?
    Note:
2 days earlier I did received an email on Google mail and I inadvertently clicked on the link which led to a site to buy medicine and the like. I immediately close the site and thrashed the mail.
    COuld this be the problem?

This may just be keychain requests to allow access to password protected information.

It will only set automatically if it is conencted to the Net.

On a PC I'd be more worried about this, but it is possible you may be one of the few to have managed to get affected by a trojan horse, not a virus. A virus can act without any action by the user. A trojan horse only reacts to user requests. It is possible that part of this e-mail actually was to present a series of deny/allow requests. If you are the administrative user of the computer or have authorized the program with your password to act on your machine, you could in fact have allowed a trojan horse to run. But without giving the machine your password, there is very little a program can do to impact the computer.
Never open an e-mail you don't recognize. That's lesson number one. If your friends and family send you an e-mail, make sure they indicate in the subject line what they are writing about. This will avoid you confusing it for something else.
If you aren't expecting an e-mail, don't open it.

  • Date & time change frequently on startup. antivirus stops working also.

For the past month the date & time are changed when I start my computer, an HP Pavilion  Elite m9077c with Vista. It doesn't happen everytime, but about 2/3 of the time. I can't download my email until the date is corrected, I get onscreen messeges that Windows media player won't work, & the status of Norton antivirus is frequently changed to "not protected". After restoring the correct date everything seems OK. What is going on? Is this the cms battery going bad , does my computer have a virus? When I run the   Hardware diagnostic tool in the PC help & tools folder I get no indication that the cms battery is bad.

    tk797,
As the CMOS battery is supposed to retain date and time, and that is the issue, I would replace it.

  • How can I display date+time and not the point number in excell?

    Hi everyone,
Could anybody tell me how I can save date + time to a file, so that  I can display on a diagram(excel) : date+time in (ox) and data (oy)? :
My program sets in (ox) the point number and not the date+time....( although  date and time are written correctly in the column...)
    Any help would be great,
    Thanks,
    regards,
    Marc

    hi there,
excel uses 01.01.1900 00:00 as the time offset, LabVIEW uses 01.01.1904 02:00, so you can't display the correct datetime in excel when you write the time as a fractional number of seconds from LabVIEW. you must format the datetime in LabVIEW to a string and write that to the column. use the "Format Date/Time String" - function and for example "%d.%m.%Y %H:%M:%S%3u" as the format string (see the functions help for more examples). you also could format your data to a string using "Format Into String" - function and write the file as a 2D string array. the decimal point you have to use depends on your system and its settings, but you can specify the decimal point in the Format string like "%.;%f" (means fractional number with point as decimal point).

  • Can't configure my Time Machine

When I first purchased the Time Capsule I was able to successfully set it up using my wireless network. Now a few months later, I finally settled into a new apartment and am trying to set up my Time Capsule with a new wirless network and haven't been able to do it. The menu bar says that the Time Machine isn't configured. I have checked and triple checked the wireless network and it is working perfectly fine. I can't find my time capsule. Do I have to reset it? Do I have to set it up again? How do I do that? The amber light is flashin but I have no idea why at this point.

If you moved, it's generally best to do a factory reset on the TC and re-set it up from scratch.

  • How can we specify date time under History Tab of Imaging

    Hi
I am using Oracle Webcenter Imaging 11.1.1.5, when i search for a document and view it, under History tab i have following information available.
    Date and User
The date specifies the date when it was modified and user specifies UserName who modified it.
I want date time over there instead of date.
Can someone help me how to achieve this?

However, when I look at the execution plan, I see that the last predicate (to_number(answer) > 0) has been executed the first. Henceforth, it checks many rows first. Normally, 75 rows belong to 31/12/2012 as you see from the following. Can I specify the execution order?According to the execution plan, it will do a full scan of surveys using the predicate on insertdate to build the (presumably in-memory) hash table (hash based on survey_id) to do the joins (Step 2). Then, it does a full scan of the answers table using the question_uid and answer predicates (Step 3). For each row it finds that matches those predicate, it will prpobe the hash table created in step 2 using the hashed value of survey_seq_id. So, it is doing the insertdate predicate first.

No, it is an implicit type conversion. Your code says answer > 0, since the answer column is a varchar2 column, Oracle implicitly converts the answer column to a number to compare against the number on the right side of the comparison. Note that if something like 'A' ever becomes a valid answer, then this query will fail with ORA-01722: invalid number.
    >

Obviously "A"."ANSWER" is not a number colmun, problably varchar, so use something like
    A.ANSWER != "0"
    or
A.ANSWER > "0"Yes answer column is varchar2 but can you type A.ANSWER > "0" as a predicate? I mean, you can not varchar > varchar, can you?
Of course you can use inequality predicates on a varcahr column. Is the string A greater than the string B?
Based on the explain plan, your statistics might be a little off, not hugely so. The esitmates are at least in the right order of magnitude based on what you have posted so far.
What indexes, if any, are available on the two tables?

  • Iphoto: unwanted date/time change after import

    Two problems:
First Problem: In October, 2012, scanned a photo into my MacMini in JPEG format.  Creation date 10.12.2012 , Modified date 10.12.2012.  This is OK.
This is an old family Christmas photo, so I use "touch -t" command through the Terminal application to change Creation and Modified dates to 12.25.1957 at 2PM (1400.00 hours).  Use Finder/Get Info to check date of JPEG file and confirm change of date and time.
Then, import JPEG file into iPhoto:  iPhoto shows date of JPEG file as 12.25.1957, but time is now 3:34.02PM (1534.02 hours).  Use File/View in Finder to look at iPhoto file and discover that date and time are changed to 12/31/1969 at 7:00 PM (1900.00 hours).  What's going on here?
Second Problem:  Received a JPEG file by email and moved it to the Desktop.   Creation date and Modifed date of the file are the date and time they were downloaded from email onto my MacMini, which is today: 1/30/2012 at 11:30AM.   Use "touch -t" command through Terminal application to change Creation and Modified dates and times to 10/20/2012 at 6PM (which is when the picture was actually taken). Comfirm change through use of Finder/Get Info  capability.
Import JPEG file into iPhoto and time gets changed to 7:34PM (date stays 10/20/2012).   Look at File/Reveal in Finder and the dates are still the date and time of the download from email onto my computer.  What gives?
Iphoto version is 9.4.2.  All system software up-to-date.

  • Date/time changes in maintenance order

    Hello,
We are using strategy plans to generate maintenance orders. Is there a way to change the basic start and end date and times of the order? The scheduling type is Forward with time. I want to be able to change the start date to the date of generating the order and the end date as the end of the maintenance cycle. How can this be accomplished?
I have checked out exit IWO10012 but it does not get called from IP10.
    Thank you,
    Nithya

    Hi,
I do not want to change the planned date of the maintenance plan, which is what the exit IPRM0002 does. I want to influence the basic start and end date of the order that is generated based on my call horizon.
Even if I set the initial and subsequent buffer in the maintenance package, both dates still come as the same. How do I change the end date to reflect the end of the maintenance cycle.
    Any pointers anyone?
    Thanks much!

  • Can ODBC configuration data be stored in a Crystal Report?

    Post Author: Gary W
    CA Forum: Crystal Reports
We've been running some SQL statements in Access pulling data from a server/database.  I decided to see if I could do the same thing in a Crystal Report with the intention of scheduling the report to run in our scheduler.  I set up the ODBC on my workstation.  I connected to it for my new report and used Add Command to enter the SQL statements.  I added the command to my report and it ran fine.  However, whenever I open the report to run it again I have to enter the password (which was initially entered when I set up the ODBC) to get it to run.  I'm guessing this has something to do with the security on the server and, that said, I'm not going to be able to change it.  Is there any way I can store the ODBC connection data including the user id and password in my report so it's there when needed?  I can do this in Access, but can't figure out how to do it in Crystal Reports.
    I use Crystal Reports XI.
In Access the line I use is:
    ODBC;Description=Employee Badge system;DRIVER=SQL Server;SERVER=pmc-rfd-ap19;UID=userID;PWD=password;DATABASE=OF_SiteData
where userID and password are replaced with the actual values.
    Thank you.

When you setup the connection in ODBC, Select the "Enter connection string and add the following   (Substitute your connection information of course)
    DSN=RPTPROD;Server=RPTPROD;User ID=USER;PWD=USERPASS
    This should work.

  • Can't reset date/time

The date and time have changed to March of 2001 and my iBook has all but quit working. At first it would only boot up to a black screen with a text error message "/system/library/startupitems/Cron-execution of startup script failed". It would not get to my desktop. I booted off of the install disc and used disk utilities to repair permission. Then I rebooted in SAFE MODE. It booted up to my regular desktop after an error message that the clock needs to be reset, but System Preferences comes up only momentarily and then quits before I can reset the clock. I tried to delete the plist but it will not delete no matter what method I use. Appleworks is the only program that will start. I also did the PMU reset procedure as described in the Apple web site. Suggestions?

In Panther (OS X 10.3), you need to choose Installer > Open Disk Utility in order to run Repair Disk. Select the hard drive in the left column. Choose the First Aid tab. Click Repair Disk to test and repair the hard drive.
Once you have repaired the hard drive with the Install disc's Disk Utility, then start up normally and repair permissions from Disk Utility in the Utilities folder on the hard drive again.
If problems persist with the clock, try resetting the PMU again with the reset button:
    • If the computer is on, turn it off.
    • Disconnect the AC power adapter.
    • Remove the battery.
    • Press and release the reset button located above the Audio/Video port on the left side of the iBook (Dual USB) computer by inserting the end of a paper clip into the small hole and gently pressing the switch once.
    • Wait 5 seconds.
    • Reconnect the AC power adapter.
    • Put the battery back in the computer.
    • Press the Power button to restart the iBook computer.
If you continue to have problems with the time, go to Finder > Your Short User Name > Library > Preferences and drag the com.apple.systempreferences.plist to the desktop.
Restart and see if you can now set the clock. You will have to reset your preferences.
