Can't configure the screensaver anymore

Hi! Thank you for reading my post and trying to help me, it is the first time i use apple discussions.
Here is the problem. I have installed leopard a few weeks ago and trying to configure my screensaver it blocked the application in "system preference" ( i don't know if it is called the same in english, i am from france). In fact i tried to see how the "mosaic style" runs (the third little icon in the middle of the window allows you to do that) and while generating the overview of the mosaic style screensaver, the application close and the computer tells me there have been a troubleshoot. Each time i want to open the screensaver application the overview tries to generate again and the application close with troubleshooting. I can't anymore access the screensaver application and change anything.
I don't know if you can help me but thanks anyway. Sorry for the mistakes i could have done in my english.

Doug, i've been following this problem in several threads since i have been havin the same issue. when you say delete "<Macintosh_HD>/Users/<YourUsersShortName>/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple .screensaver.XXXXXXXXXXXX.plist", do you mean delete ALL of the plist's that fall into that category? in other words, these are the following files that i have. so do they all go, or just the first numbered ones?

I can't lock the screen anymore since I installed Mavericks. I have assigned a password to the screensaver in the system preferences, but when I activate the screensaver on my iMac 8,1 it does not ask for the password when I wake it up from sleep. I have checked the option in the security preferences that the Mac should ask for a password immediately.
Any idea how the enable the password?

Okay, the problem is solved. I don't really know how - I just restarted the mac several times and now it works.

Can we configure the no of days , instance needs to stay in engine db after going to end.
In process admin, under alengine - services tab - we have Disposer Latency and Instance Expiration properties.
If Disposer Latency is set to 1 day, Instance Expiration is set to 15 days, does it mean that instance would stay in engine db / workspace for 15 days after reaching end of the process?
If I want the instance level data to stay in engine db / workspace for 60 - 90 days, Can I achieve it by setting Instance Expiration to 60 / 90 days?

The disposer latency specifies how often the queue of instances is looked at for disposal. If it is set to 2 days then the queue is evaluated every two days. If the instance expiration is set to 15 days then this is the minimum amount of time that an instance can sit in the End activity. Every 2 days the disposer looks at the instances that have sat in the End activity for at least 15 days. In theory, an instance can sit in the End activity for 16 days 23 hours and 59 minutes (15 days + almost 2 days).

No, that is not possible.
The simplest solution would be to define a service and communication channel for each server and then use the receiver determination to determine which service to send to.
The only other way would be to use a receiver java proxy where you would have to code in the JDBC request yourself.

How can I pause the screensaver.

My screensaver becomes active after 5 mins and displays photos from my iPhoto library. Before my update to 10.8.2 I was able to pause on a picture by pressing I think was the down arrow key (to pause and un-pause) and scroll through the pictures by using the left or right arrow keys the scroll part works still however I am unable to pause. Once I press the down arrow key or spacebar the screensaver comes off.

Unfortunately the EA version has several issues w/encoding. We believe we've fixed them up in our next release, but unfortunately with EA, there are a lot of limitiations.

The 'internal length of the table' is 8088 bytes, which intern maps to the column width attribute.
Can we change the column width?
The answer is 'NO'.

So we will have to judiciously look into the boundary values for each column and set the right length because if the column is char(200) and it holds a null value then length allocated is 200 bytes.
The restriction cannot be broken.

I am trying the the BPM scenario using Integration Process
BpmPatternCollectTime
from SAP BASIS ® SAP BASIS 7.00 in the namespace http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Patterns
I have done the scenario like the above . I have followed all the Steps which are used in above scenario.
I am using a File Sender Adapter and Receiver Adapter .
It is Successfully picked up the File but nothing is happening after that .
I am using two receiver Determination one from Ob to IP and other from IP to FIleReceiver ( IB) .
But, I am Getting error as Block1 (No agent) Error in the PE graphical diagram
I have checked in SWWL my Integration Process Return code is "0"
The steps Which i have followed in BPM are
1. Block with Deadlkine branch and Exception handler( as TimeOut Exception)
Block Start and Block End as New Transaction
2. Inside Block infinite Loop which contains Receive step ( Actives the Correlation ) and Multiline Container element which appends the Messages with CollectMessage
3. Transformation Step
It creates the New Transaction and Interface Maping from CollectMessage List to New Mesage
4. Send Step
It sends the New Message . It creates the New Transaction .
Can you Please tell me how to configure the Receiver and Interface Determination for the above scenario ?

How can I configure printer with iPad to print only grey tones? This works fine from my laptop - not air printing from that one though. I can't find anywhere on the iPad how to do printer settings and this also seems not to be available as an option when doing a printout. In fact, no options seem to be available. Installing wireless router, router works fine but can't configure the modem

I'm configuring a wireless network for my parents, and I can't seem to get it set up right on my parents desktop with Windows XP SP2.
I bought a Linksys wireless router (WRT54GT) to set up a home network, and set that up quickly. It's not having any problems, but I can't set the modem into bridge mode. I'm connecting to DSL using a Westell Wirespeed modem (C90-36R516-01) that is pretty old, but I don't see why there is a problem. I went to the IP 192.168.1.1 in my browser while connected to only the modem to configure it, but the server always times out. When I plug in the router, it goes easily to the Linksys' configuration panel.
The only thing I can think of it that I configured the router before switching to bridge mode.
I tried getting around this problem by configuring the router to dial Verizon automatically using PPoE, but I don't know if it's actually working correctly, and it still asks me to dial up when I start Firefox. Other computers on the network see the router, but don't connect to the internet.

One thing you should do is get rid of that Westell modem from verizon. Its junk. I replaced it with a DLink DSL modem and internet is faster. Not that this suggestion solves your problem.

Is it for Alert ? If so, you need to provide user details in the XI itself. btw, you can create group user id and attach all the emails ids for that user and use that..

In MM03, can you configure the display layout of the "document data" tab?

In MM03 on the document data tab, we would like to shorten the length of the "document" column so that the Status field can be viewed on initial screen without scrolling to the right. Is it possible to reconfigure this view?

to change the layout of the linked documents in transaction MM03 please go to the additional data tab and then please use the small configurations button (small table icon on the right side) and follow the below instructions:
1. Configure the table control as you want it.
2. Click the settings button at the top of the table control.
3. Enter a name and chhose "Create".
4. If you want this variant to appear whenever the table control appears, set the "Use as default setting" option.
5. Choose "Copy" to close the dialog box.
If you want to change how existing variants are used, or want to reactivate the basic setting, choose the corresponding settings from the list boxes and choose 'Copy' to close the dialog box.
