My ipod say: Unable to connect, check your connection and try later.....In both applications... It's a new white Ipod 4th generation...

Try ging to the wifi setting and change the DNS server to Google's 8.8.8.8,

There is no Siri "icon". You access Siri using the Home button. But you may need to turn it on: Settings App > General > Siri. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4992
Same for the FaceTime function (but if it is ON, there will be an icon): Settings App > FaceTime > [turn it on and set you Apple ID. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4319

Existing Apple ID is not longer working with Face Time and Message on the iPhone after iOS 6

After the IOS 6 update on my iPhone the Apple ID is not longer working with Face Time and Message. Each time I try to log in I receive the message that the password or the user is not right. But they are, because on all other devices and all other parts of the iPhone (iCloud, AppStore, iTunes) they are working. Other Apple IDs are working fine.
What's wrong? Any idea?

It sounds like you restored from an old back-up. Did you back-up just before your software update? It will use your last one and if your last back-up was a ywear old then it will use that one.
In general, if you are getting these messages on your iPhones select logout (when you get that Apple Id request) and then log back in with your newer ID.

Can't use face time or messaging.

Since the recent update of the os7 I can't use face time or message from my iPad. It was working before os7.

Try reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings

Can't connect Face Time from my iPhone 4S to my iMac

Hello, I have a problem similar to one many people seem to be having, in that I can't get Face Time to connect. The difference with me is that I can Face Time connect from the iMac to the iPhone 4S but not vice versa. When I try the latter, the connect button appears momentarily on the iMac before disappearing and an alert appearing on the iphone saying that the email address I'm trying to contact "is busy"
The same applies to my MBP
Any suggestiions for fixes
I am in the UK, by the way, using O2 with wifi.

are you using the same Apple ID on both devices? If so, that is the problem. Its much like trying to call your own phone number with a regular phone, you'll be forwarded straight to voicemail.

Having issues with face time and messages to connect with people overseas

I seem to have issues with contacting two people who live overseas. I was recently visiting that country and while there had no problems contacting them. Also while en route in /Seoul airport was still able to contact them but when arriving back in -Australia , am no longer able to send or receive messages from them or calls on face time. Similar issues with these contact on viber and talk box. Any ideas?

WHAT CAN I DO... MY SCREEN KEEPS COMING UP W CHECK CONNECTION , NOT CONNECTED TO INTERNET, CAN NOT USE FACE TIME AND CAN NOT CLOSE OUT MAIL.

Can't get face time to work

Since upgrading to ios7, I can't get face time or message to work. When I try to sign in with Apple ID, I get error message saying check wifi connection and try again. I looked at support pages but can't sign in. Face time works ok on iPod touch

Try Reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings will be reset.

Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
