Can't connect iPhone 5s to iTunes! Please help :(

I recently got the new iPhone 5s. When connecting it up to my laptop (Fujitsu Lifebook A series) I made sure to re-install it and make sure its up to date. I connected it up using the USB chord supplied with my iphone. It registers as an iphone on my laptop but wont show up in iTunes. Please help!

If you are using a USB hub, don't. Connect directly to the computer. Disconnect all other USB devices except for keyboard and mouse.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

The iPhone is still stuck in recovery mode?
If the iPhone is not detected you will need to try other USB ports on the PC or try other USB cables. You could also try another PC/ Mac is you have one available to see if the PC is at fault.

CR 8.5 - Can not connect to Sybase SQLAnywhere 11 - please help

Hi.
We are using CR 8.5 Professional (Version: 8.5.3.975) with a Sybase SQL Anywhere 9 Database.
Everything works fine.
Now we want update to SQL Anywhere 11. When I refresh a Report witch should connect to SQLAnywhere 11 I get the following
Errormessage.
"ODBC-Fehler: [ODBC Driver][SQL Anywhere]Fehler bei der syntaktischen Analyse: Ungültiges oder fehlendes Schlüsselwort bei 'DBQ'"
Does somebody know a solution for this issue ? Is there perhabs a Service Pack and where can I download this ?

So you may need to upgrade to Sybase 11.5 and it's possible we did not support SQL Anywhere. Not sure what the error is, if you could translate it into english that may help.
Typical errors were usually caused because CR can't find the client. Make sure where you installed the client to on your local hard drive the location is also specified in the PATH statement. CR 8.5 only used the PATH statement to find the client install.

Do you mean that iTunes doesn't recognize your phone when you plug it into your computer using the usb to dock cable? If so, see http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538. (And yes, you need to use the usb to dock cable that came with your phone. If you dont' have it you'll have to buy another one.)

How to solve this problem that I have

i've had a few issues like this.
I've found that it is an issue with items that are already on your phone.
several troubleshoots.
1) uncheck everything from syncing (apps, music, tv shows, movies, podcasts, etc), try to perform a sync, it most likely will work. Then, sync after checking each item individually (check the sync box for videos, then sync, check the sync box for podcasts, then sync, check the sync box for music, then sync, etc). One of two things will happen, 1) you will fix the problem, or 2) you will identify exactly what part of the sync setup is the culprit.
2) if the above doesn't work, I've found that it is likely an issue with files that are on your phone but your phone doesn't exaclty recognize (for example, I had copies of music on my phone that didn't show up in the music app, I went in on itunes and manually deleted those songs from my phone and that fixed the sync). to do this, check the "manually manage music and videos" box at the bottom of "summary" while your phone is connected to itunes. Then, go to the left hand pane in itunes and find your iphone device, click the drop-down arrow that shows all the categories for media on your iphone. Go to the music category in your iphone on itunes and delete all the music that shows up. Try to perform a sync - it likely will work. After this, you can uncheck the manually manage music box and re-sync your phone as normal
