Can't connect to a site that requires a secure connectio

I can surf the web but when I try to reach a secure connection I get an error message.
Firefox: if your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web.
Safari: Safari can't open this page.
Safari cant open the page "https://support.apple.com/cgi-gin and ect." because Safari can't extablish a secure connection to the server "support apple.com".
Anyone have any ideas?

Can you post links to pages that give that error?
Did you try to remove cert8.db in the [[Profiles|Profile folder]] or tested with a new profile ?

Dreamweaver CS5.5 refusing to open, launch so can't access urgent web site created within it a while back that requires work upon it. CS4 not open/launch itself either? Therefore can't even export a site file to open up in a newer version but that won't run, support vital menu editing within it.

Try clearing the program cache and/or restoring preferences...

Since clearing chase, cookies and history I can NOT access my regular sites that require a password. I know these sites work with my passwaord becuse I've visited them on my other computer(s).

I was having difficulty accessing usual sites like LinkedIn.com, FaceBook.com, OKCupid.com that require a password. At one attempt to log on it was suggested that I clear all cashe, history, and cookies and try again. That made matters worse. I decided to DELETE Fire Fox 3.6.15 version and when I went to Mozilla dot com I saw this 4.0 version. I installed it and I am still having the same problems. My usual sites do not recognize my passwords. I can access these sites on other computers, just not mine. Yes, I tried using other browsers to no avail. I need HELP fast!

If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete cookies.sqlite-journal and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

How can I connect to a WLAN, that requires Userid/Password to connect?

At a recent conference I tried to used my ATV 3 and Airplay to present on the video projector. My ATV 3 found the WLAN and connected, but in order to get internet access this WLAN required to enter a userid/password.
On a PC the UI to enter this data comes up, when you try to open any kind of web page. ´
I did not manage to logon using the Apple TV 3. Any hints?

No way to join from the ATV. The way I have gotten around this in the past is to sign in to the network on my Mac then turn on internet sharing in system preferences and create an ad hoc network that i then join with the ATV.

Flash is not supported on the iPad and never has been supported on any iOS device - and as Adobe have never managed to make a version of their flash player that works on iOS devices, and they have recently announced that they are stopping development on all mobile versions of it, it probably never will be.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store.

I don't think you need Preview.
Select the image and use File->export and you have full control over the size and compression.

Can only connect to HTTPS (secure) sites and can't connect to HTTP sites

In short I CAN ONLY connect to HTTPS sites, meaning secure.
I've narrowed this down to an issue regrading my mac book pro and the wireless router.
Router:
- not sure of the make model
- other computers CAN connect to this router and go online
My Mac:
- Mac Book Pro
- OS X 10.6
- I can connect to other wireless networks just fine
- I can surf the web for about 10 minutes or so then it blocks ALL http traffic
and i'm only allowed to https sites
going to a http site results in a "page is taking to long to respond"
please anything?

The router is a Verizon MI424WR

Here's one to get you all laughing at the rookie. Considering switching from my pcs to macs and was just wondering if there are ways to view sites that require adobe flash, I've heard that you can't as well as you can, but the downloads are really bad. Just looking for a solid answer. This being one of the many thoughts/apprehensions I have about switching to a whole new computer world. Thanks for the help, Mike

You can't without installing another browser that supports Flash from the App store. Search the app store.
Just keep in mind, that like Flash players for mobile devices, these apps are less than optimal. This is why Flash is not supported on iOS devices by Apple.
