Can't connect to a specific webpage

Since yesterday I can't connect to www.last.fm it just keeps "connecting", I tried, firefox, chrome and safari, none of them work...
I found some tips for windows users, but none for mac, can somebody please help me??

It would appear to be an issue with "peering" on the net.
Internet.net has no affiliation with Last.fm according to Whois.
Since it is blocked after there, your internet provider must be using internet.net as a primary or secondary backbone past its main backbone.
Call your internet provider and ask them if they are multihoned. Recommend to them to become multihoned in the future if they are not, as it is blocking you from certain websites, due to a blockage on internet.net.
See the whois down here:

  • Can't connect to a specific website

I have exhausted all other issues, but cannot connect to a specific website on my Verizon FIOS network. I am able to connect to it when I'm at work, and others are having no problems. I just can't connect through my home account. Please advise.

I check the settings on your router to be sure you are not blocking any sites or specific catergory of sites using parental controls.
It is possible that the public IP given to you by Verizon is being blocked by the WEB site because of something a previous holder of this IP did or didn't do.   Unplug the power to your Verizon for at least 30 minutes.  After plug it back in you should have a new Public IP.   Confirm this by checking the status page on your router both before you unplug the router and then after you power it back up.

  • Remote Desktop Connection Times Out With "Can't Connect" From One Specific Computer Only

This is an odd one... I manage several servers from this computer. This particular server, 2012 Essentials, won't allow for remote desktop connections to either the server or attached workstations. I can get into the server's remote web page but when I
attempt a remote desktop connection, it hangs on "Initiating remote connection..." and then times out with the error response that remote desktop can't connect. But... if I attempt the same connections from any other computer, I am able to get in
and utilize remote desktop. Does this mean that there is a certificate issue with the computer unable to connect and if so, how does one remedy this? Or is it some other issue? I've attempted everything within my technical ability to no avail. Any suggestions
    are greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
Before going further, would you please let me know the RDC version that used in the problematic computer? Was it the same with other computers?
Please temporarily disable firewall and then check if this issue can be solved. Based on your current description, it’s hard to say the root reason of this issue.
So, I suggest that you should check relevant log files and get some clues. It will help us to narrow down and solve your issue.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    Justin Gu

  • I can't connect to a specific software

Hi, ExpertsRecently, I'm struggling with a client program. It's like an ERP program, and in order to use the software, I need to run it on my desktop and then login with my account. then it will check my credential through the server of provider that is located in IDC.Well, the problem is that it can't connect under my corporate network even our head IT allowed the server's IP and port on the firewall.I checked I can connect/login on normal PC(not domain environment) through public network.Funny thing is that even thoughIconnect mycorporate laptop to a public network, I can't login.I checked proxy is disabled.Could you please advise what causes this problem? Why I can't connect/login the server even though I connect my laptop to a public network? Is there any AD polices related with network? Please advise.

  • Can't connect to a specific wifi network

Hello, please, someone can help me? (sorry for my poor english, not native)
First of all, i's important to say that I could connect normally to this network before, and then suddenly it stopped connecting. I can say it's a problem with my device, 'cause the other device I have still can connect to this network normally. I deleted it from the list of saved networks, tried to able and disable some of the advanced options... Nothing worked.
Nothing has changed, passwords, settings, nothing. I'm pretty sure it's a specific issue between BBZ10 and this network, 'cause I can connect normally to my home's and my neighbor's wifi network.
    Please, anyone?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
The first thing to check is your installed BB10 OS level...refer:

  • Can't connect to a specific web address

I have a MacBook Pro using version 10.4.11 software. It is the 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo model. I use a wireless Airport Extreme and have had no problems ever until now. My son plays hockey and his team has a website that I have been able to connect to since I bought this computer. About a month ago after the latest Safari update, I can no longer connect to this websites server. It is the only site that I cannot get. I brought it to the Apple store and had one of there Geniuses look at it and all that happened was they lost all of my itunes, pictures, keychain info, etc. Very frustrating experience with them and I still can't get the site. Any suggestions

Sig is right. The basic Flip4Mac is free, and works to allow most playback of wmv. You only need to purchase it if you want to convert wmv into something else, or visa versa. I'd call F4M customer support to get a refund, if you don't want it, or to sort out registering it correctly, if you do.
About your other issue; those pages seemed to load fine for me. The mxi98 page started playing an audio clip of a song after it loaded. Nothing too weird looking about the pages.

  • IMac isn't loading a specific website (can't connect to that server), regardless of browser, though the same website will load on other computers on same network. Is it an issue with the iMac's settings?

Our iMac isn't loading a specific website (we get a message saying it can't connect to that specific server), regardless of browser (I've tried it in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox). However, the same website, which is for a major medical provider, loads without any issue on our other computers on the same wireless network. Is it an issue with the iMac's settings? All other websites seem to be loading without issue on the iMac.

... Is it an issue with the iMac's settings?
Possibly. Make sure you are not using a proxy server. Look in Safari Preferences > Advanced > Proxies > "Change Settings..." This will take you to the applicable Network Preferences. Make sure that nothing is selected in the "select a protocol to configure" list. It should look like this:
    Still not working?
Locate your Terminal app. It is in your Utilities folder. Open Terminal.
In Terminal, copy (triple-click) and paste the following line:
osascript -e 'tell application "System Events" to get name of every login item'
This will produce a list of all your account login items.
While you are in Terminal, copy (triple-click) and paste the following line:
    kextstat -kl | awk '!/com\.apple/{printf "%s %s\n", $6, $7}'
This will produce a list of all non-Apple kernel extensions. There will be few, if any.
Post the results of the above.

  • How to connect to a specific database in SQL server

  • Can I stop specific webpages apearing in address dropdown list when typing a webpage

That is just the full question there, Can I stop specific webpages apearing in address dropdown list when typing a address?

I believe I've figured this out. You probably don't have a virus and there may not be much you can do. What is probably happening here is that the DNS provided by your ISP is trapping the request and redirecting you to the teoma server (run by ask.com).
When you enter "flurdl" into the address bar, first the browser (& network stack) tries to resolve it as a host name into an ip address, by contacting the DNS server. If it resolves to an ip address, the connection proceeds. If DNS replies there is no such host, the browser passes it onto your search provider to perform a search.
Your ISP has cut a deal with teoma such that when there is no host, instead of returning that, they return the teoma address. Your browser connects to that address and teoma returns its search page. So your browser never realizes it needs to search; it thinks it hit a valid page.
Why do they do this? Because the search engine gets paid for the "preferred" entries in the search result.
Your options are probably twofold: 1) don't search from the address bar, use the search bar instead. 2) Find another more honest DNS provider and configure it explicitly in your network settings.

  • Safari and Chrome "can't connect to webpage" error message

I recently purchased this macbook on the 26th and it was working completely fine the first day. Today i was using my macbook and it was working completely fine, then about 20-30 minutes after turning on and using my macbook webpages failed to load. In safari I would refresh the page and the page would stop loading at about 40%, and when i tried doing using the search bar instead of the URL bar, i would recieve a "Can't connect to server error" saying that safari was unable to connect to Google. On Chrome i tried opening the same page, such as twitter or youtube, and the page would fail to load as well and it would give me the "unable to connect to webpage" error message. Anything connected to the internet won't load as well, such as the app store or even skype. Whenever i restart the computer it begins working fine again, but returns to its previous state after 20-30 mins again. I have tried restarting my router and even connecting to a different router. I have also checked my proxies and nothing is selected. I am just wondering what to do at this moment, should i take my computer in so soon? Or should I give the computer some time to get "broken in."? My macbook is running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4

  • I get an error that says can't connect to the itunes store when I search for a specific artist only

    Hi all,
When I try to search for music by a specific artist in the iTunes store on my iPhone 5, I get an error that says "Can't connect to the iTunes store".  This only happens when I search for music by this band.  I can search for other artists and listen to song clips and everything seems to be connecting to the iTunes store just fine.  But for some reason, it doesn't work with this artist.  The band name is July for Kings.  Not sure if anyone else has had this issue, but I hope so!
    Thanks,
    Rick

IF you are not able to resolve your issue then contact Apple Support at https://getsupport.apple.com/GetproductgroupList.do?caller=ikb&PRKEYS=PL220,1316 29,PL113,PL302,PF3,PF4,PF9,PL303,PL339,p…
hopefully they can help. You may also be interested to know that for some reason it is just not available to a lot of people at the same time. Appears to be an issue of more users than their servers can handle. Has happened periodically for at least 6 months that I know of but apparently users are able to use within several days if there are no other issues with the users device.

  • Auto open specific webpage on wireless connection?

    Hello,
I want to setup a wireless connection that when a user connects to my wifi hotspot, an specific webpage automatically pops up on the web browser. Is there a general solution to run this or it depends on wireless router?

Wanted to throw this out here for any fellow spiceheads running EdgeRouters. Its a free update you just need to install the latest firmware to get the new features. Once you apply the update you have to log into your Edgerouter and enable Traffic Analysis as it is off by default after the updatehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5AHsGlAMNI&feature=youtu.be&utm_source=Ubiquiti+Newsletter+...https://community.ubnt.com/t5/EdgeMAX-Updates-Blog/EdgeMAX-EdgeRouter-software-release-v1-7-0/ba-p/1...

My contacts will not appear on my computer and when I go to the webpage for Icloud, it says there is an error and that I can't connect to the server. (which may have something to do with the facts that my contacts have disappeared.)

The iphone is not a storage device.
The music sync is one way - computer to iphone.  The exception being itunes purchases.
You need to copy everything from the old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to the new one.

  • Why Can I not connect to a specific meeting room on my account?

    Hi,
I am having an issue connecting to a specific meeting room within my account. Both the end user meeting host, and myself as administrator of the account, can not connect to the room. I have tested this numerous times on different machines and cannot connect.
When attempting to connect, the room launches in the Adobe Connect Add In; which is absolutely fine. But when attempting to connect to this specific room, the loading bar on the add in constantly holds when full and doesn't allow access to the room.
All other rooms launch. This issue started approximately 2 weeks ago.
Any advice or help would be really good.
    Thanks
    Phil.

Usually a hang at that point indicates an issue with Port 1935 being blocked, but if it only happens on a specific room, there may be something else happening. I would recommend that you enable logging for the Connect Add-in, http://helpx.adobe.com/adobe-connect/kb/enable-logging-acrobat-connect-professional.html, and see if the logs can reveal a more clear picture as to what is happening.

  • WRT54GX2 can't connect to internet or open webpages

For some reason, I can't connect to the internet through a WIRED internet connection with my WRT54GX2 wireless router.  I am currently writing this with a connection directly to my modem.  I can connect to the router setup webpage, but no other webpage (i.e.google.com, ect.)  I have checked and double checked my router, all the cords, the modem, and power cycled all of them numerous times.  Can anybody help me?
P.S.  my WIRELESS laptop can connect to the internet, but this wired computer and all others do not

Are you sure it's YOUR wireless connection and not someone else's?  Sounds to me like you may need to configure the modem to work thru a router. I had to change mind from PPPoE to bridge.
