Can't connect to a specific wifi network

Hello, please, someone can help me? (sorry for my poor english, not native)
First of all, i's important to say that I could connect normally to this network before, and then suddenly it stopped connecting. I can say it's a problem with my device, 'cause the other device I have still can connect to this network normally. I deleted it from the list of saved networks, tried to able and disable some of the advanced options... Nothing worked.
Nothing has changed, passwords, settings, nothing. I'm pretty sure it's a specific issue between BBZ10 and this network, 'cause I can connect normally to my home's and my neighbor's wifi network.
Please, anyone?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
The first thing to check is your installed BB10 OS level...refer:
Article ID: KB23393 How to check the model number and version of the operating system on a BlackBerry smartphone
If it is not the most recent (10.2.2.1531), then it is highly recommended that you update via Sachesi, LINK (only if your carrier supports it), or AutoLoader:

  • Can't connect to any secure WiFi network. Help...!

    Hello,
I am unable to connect to any secure wifi network. Using iPhone 5, Model : MD300B/A, Software : 6.1.4 (10B350). Whenever I try to connect to any secure wifi network, it says password incorrect. But it connects fine with unsecured networks. Double checked the same secure networks with my iPad and it works fine. Tried reseting the network settings and all settings. Updated to latest firmware (6.1.4). Still not working.
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Madhavan

I have the same problem. I can't connect to any password protected networks. I type in the correct password, but I'm unable to login. I don't have the option for the iphone to forget the network, because I've never been able to log in and therefore there is nothing to forget. The option doesn't even come up. Is anyone else having this problem? It is this way for 2 different networks.

  • Can't connect to my home WiFi network

I'm using a linksys router and using WEP security. The iphone can see my network, but when I enter the password it tells me I can't connect. I can't seem to make the phone forget the network so that I can start over.
    Any help would be appreciated

  • Can't connect to internet on WiFi network

I have a cable modem hooked to a wired router (Linksys) hooked to a wired/wireless router (DLink). My Windows laptops and PSP can connect to my WiFi network just fine, and up until about 2 days ago, my iMac could too. But now, it recognizes the network and I can connect to my other computers, but I cannot connect to the internet. When I used the diagnostics from OSX, sometimes they would say the internet was working (though it definitely wasn't) and sometimes it would say it wasn't. My signal strength is fine and I haven't changed any network settings on the computer or to the network itself. I think I just installed some updates from Apple, but I'm not sure. Please advise.

I had the same problem on my G4 tower a few weeks ago. Drove me nuts! I finally got past it by accident. I had created a Home location in the Network preference panel. That one wasn't working. Could see the local network, but couldn't hit the internet to save my life. By accident, I switched back to the Automatic location that comes as a default. That one worked! Haven't had a problem since.
I think the issue might be preference corruption of some kind. I'm not sure.
Anywho, try creating or using a different location on your Mac and see if a fresh set of setting will get you through to the internet.

  • IOS devices can't connect automatically to known wifi network anymore (only manually)

    Hi there.
Just changed my old wifi router belkin 54g with a new sitecom 300n X2 (with 802.11n); after the change all my iOS devices (iphone4, ipod touch and ipad2) are not able anymore to automatically connect to my wifi network.
The network is recognized and after inserting the password the devices connect perfectly to the network, but if I switch off the wifi interface and then i switch it on again the devices don't connect to the known network automatically, I have to tap on my network in the list to join it, even if password is not requested anymore (just once, when connecting for the first time). My Macbook and other Android devices are automatically connecting fine.
I tried to forget the network and reconnect to it, I did a reset of the network stack under Settings->General->Reset, I did a device reset but nothing worked.
I even tried to limit channel bandwidth of the router to 20 Mhz (suggestion found in a forum) but no success, and I also changed the wifi channel to avoid interference, but again no success.
Any help will be really appreciated.
    Thanks a lot and regards.

  • MBP can't find one specific wifi network.

The hotel where I live offers free wifi (The Cloud) and for months I've been using with full signal.
Suddenly my MBP (mid 2010) was unable to find this network.
My iPad and my iPhone (and friend's devices) are still connecting at any time with perfect full signal.
I've tried holding alt+cmd+P+R at boot to reset PRAM and NVRAM but it still can't find that specif wifi network.

Update: after another NVRAM and PRAM reset (alt+cmd+P+R) the wifi network shows up but I'm still unable to connect to it. When selected I've got a message of "connection timeout occurred" and the network disappears again.
*All software is up to date.

  • Why can't I connect to my home WiFi network with my new iPad Mini?

Why can't I connect to my home WiFi network with my new iPad Mini when I can connect to free WiFi networks at cafes and public areas?

    Try this:
    1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again
    2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

I understand that the OP failed to do research. But then, I wasn't replying to the OP. I was replying to Chris. I have Verizon. I can talk and use data at the same time with my Droid Maxx. Therefore, the problem is not just with the network. It would be technically possible for an iPhone to do that on Verizon/Sprint if Apple had chosen to use a different chip, such as the kind other phone manufacturers have elected to use.
Of course, this is probably all irrelevant to the OP's issue. It was merely a point of clarification, especially for those people who are used to being able to use both voice and data at the same time on Verizon. When they switch to an iPhone, they are often surprized at the limitation.
    Best of luck.

  • I can not join the my home WIFI network. I have iPhone and iTouch connected as well as my windows laptop. I have trie power on rese, and network reset

I can not join the my home WIFI network. I have iPhone and iTouch connected as well as my windows laptop. I have trie power on rese, and network reset. What do I do next?

This is something else you can try.
Go to Settings>WiFi>Your Network Name (tap the blue arrow)>Forget this Network. Reboot your iPad, hold down on the sleep button at the top for a couple of seconds until the red slider appears, slide to shut down. Then press the sleep button again until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button and the iPad will restart. Try to join your network again.

  • Trouble connecting to specific WiFi network

Starting a few months ago, my iPad mini has been having trouble connecting to my home WiFi network. At first I figured it was my WiFi, but I've tried resetting iit, which did not correct the problem. Also, oddly nobody else had trouble connecting. My boyfriend's iPad and both of our iPhones have strong connection everywhere in the apartment. Obnoxiously, my iPad can connect to every other WiFi network in our building with strong connections, just not mine!
I have tried resetting network settings and did a full factory restore but I'm still experiencing the same issue. I can't decide whether it's an iPad issue or a WiFi issue. Nobody else has problems with the WiFi, and my iPad doesn't have problems with any other connection!
Here's what is actually happening: to connect to my network, I have to literally set the iPad right next to the router until it connects. Immediately after I walk away, it drops down to 1 bar and as long as I'm within that room, I can use my iPad. Once I leave the room, the connection is lost.
It's driving me INSANE. Please help with suggestions or similar experiences
ps. This has not been an issue caused by system upgrades as it has been going on for several months and has finally driven me crazy enough to get help, haha

You have a wifi signal; it's just very weak. That suggests two possible causes:
    1. The iPad case. In some cases, a case may interfere with the wifi signal significantly. Remove the case, and test the wifi again.
    2. The wifi antenna. In rare cases, the wifi antenna will become dislodged or torn; they're fragile strips of filament.
The iPad case is easy to fix. The antenna requires more skill, and urge you to use an experienced professional.

  • Reconnecting to a  specific wifi network (preferably hidden)

    Here's a weird one.
I'd configured my Powerbook with a range of internet locations, among which one at home, where it would use my ADSL modem's hidden wifi network. So on the Airport page, it says something like "By default join" "a specific network", and then the network ID and password. I could change locations, I could switch off and on Airport or the ADSL modem, my wifi connection would always come back. As expected, right?
So yesterday evening, there was what finally turned out to be an ISP "incident", which showed up on my modem as an authentification alert. That should not have been a big deal, except that in my eagerness to test things (and get back online), I decided to see if one of my neighbours didn't have an open wifi network. And (this is probably the stupid part), I did not first change locations, to something like the "automatic" profile.
Long story short, I can no longer count on automatic connection to my own wifi network. In fact, I can count on it no longer connecting automatically, even turning off and on Airport. I had to "unhide" my network, so that I can reconnect manually easily — and then I'm asked for my Keychain password every time.
I've tried countless times to re-define things as they were, but in fact the home location Airport information a) never changed and b) if I try to connect to another Airport network from there, it has no effect and c) the "by default join" popup menu only gives the "a specific network" option. Also, among the options, I tried switching off the "remember last network" (or some such) option ... which won't turn off.
To make matters worse (?), I tried creating a new location with the assistant (1st time I use that one...). Gives the same result...
I must say that getting this to work was always a bit of a trial and error process for me, without I ever understood why things finally worked and "stuck" in the end
Gremlins... gremlins... haven't rebooted yet, but if this doesn't get better after a reboot, I think I'm going to blow a fuse
Is this an issue that happened to others? Any ideas how to resolve it? I have a rather recent clone of my bootdisk, so I guess I could boot off that to see if it's anything hardware related, but I didn't want to do that before my connection was back up. And it's not going to explain what the &^#@$! is going on either!
    Thanks in advance,
    René

    Hi René,
I'm on Leopard at the moment, so having to trust my old memory a bit.
The Locations get messed up, especially the Automatic one gets confused easily.
First,Repair Permissions with Disk Utility, reboot.
Use Keychain Access in Utilities to Repair Keychain, (under the Window Menu item), then find the relevant entry for your home network, delete that one.
If it's not working now, then drag these files to the desktop, and reboot...
    /Users/nnnnLibrary/Preferences/com.apple.internetconnect.plist
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
Setup your Networking again, but Make a New Location for you Home connection in Network>Configure>Location>New Location... Apply.

I have a 3rd generation iPod Touch and just did the update to IOS 5. Now I can't connect to my Netgear wifi router. My iPhone connects fine along with all of my other laptops etc. I have the router set with WPA-PSK [TKIP] security and an access list. I've confirmed the mac address is included on that list and that the password is correct. Under choses netwrok I select the network and it just goes into a spin. I have tried removing the password and the access list settings and it still will not complete the connection to the router thus no internet access. The routers firmware is also up to date. This thing worked fine before this update and I've already tried to restore from backup. Any ideas or is the wifi nic bad in this thing with the new apple firmware update? Any fix?

Thanks Bob, I don't know why but it all of a sudden worked a few days later. It's a mystery but at least problem solved.

  • Device is connected to to a wifi network but does not have access to Blackberry services over wifi connection

please help me, my blackberry curve has been working perfectly fine (everything network and wifi connection are working great) since i got it but all of the sudden when i connect to our wifi at home i noticed that the wifi logo on the upper screen is grayed out. i checked the manual and it says: device is connected to to a wifi network but does not have access to Blackberry services over wifi connection. i dont  know what to do, i tried the hard reset (removed batt for 1 min while phone is on and put it back in) i also tried to remove the wifi profile and added it back up but still nothing seems to work, my service provider has BB services available on my phone, i can received BBM, pushed email, use FB on my phone using my network but i cant use my wifi to browse.. what should i do? help me please!

With a PC, the Windows Firewall and/or the anti-virus software will sometimes block an attempted Internet connection.
Check both applications to see if you can find a "blocked" item and then take steps to "allow" the connection.
If still no luck, temporarily disable the wireless security for a short period to see if the PC can connect that way. If it can.....then you know it is security related issue.
See if the PC can connect using a setting like WPA-PSK-TKIP. The equivalent Apple setting would be WPA/WPA2 Personal.

I have just updated the i06 software for my iPad and it will not connect to my home wifi network - all my other devices are able to connect to my wifi network.
I have attempted all troubleshooting actions suggested and nothing has worked. I have restored my iPad network and factory settings - Please help - this is frustrating me

you have to set up your router to solve th problem. first find and write down the ipad mac address.
then log on to your router using your laptop or any device that can connect to router at 192.168.0.1 in your web browser. please check out my posting about how to resolve the wifi connection problem.
i think the ios6 update has reset the networking but if you set up the router then you should not have the same problem any more.

  • I have 2 Macs, connected to the same Wifi network. But sometimes, the shared computers does not appear on the left hand menu of the toolbar for me to access shared folders between the computers. Am I doing something wrong?

I recently bought a MacBook Air for work. Whilst at home, both my Macbooks are connected to the same Wifi network. Sometimes, the 2 Macbooks are connected and I can access the shared folders, which is great. However, every now and again, the connection seems to be lost. Is there something I need to set up so that every time both Macbooks are switched on and connected to my Wifi, it will automatically be linked?
    Any help is much appreciated!

I have found with AppleTV that it is the IPV6 on the computer you want to access is the problem.  The issue is that Homegroup on Win 7 or Win 8 requires IPV6 to work, but AppleTV won't work with IPV6.  (So maybe double check you have IPV6 turned off)
So you have to make a choice - Homegroup or AppleTV.... but you can't have both, until Apple brings ATV up to date. (crazy that it does not recognise IPV6 - c'mon Apple!)
You can set up sharing individually in Win 7 or 8 and have the ATV access files that way.
Having said that, there is always the exception.. I have an old HP home server running Win8 and it services ATV - but is part of the Homegroup... have no idea why it works on both, but no other machine on the home network will talk to both ATV and Homegroup at the same time!
