Can't Connect to camera

I'm using lenovo a516, any suggestions about fixing it. I already done hard reset, but it doesnt work. when I try to go to app manager on settings>security . "unfortunately, settings has stopped" always pop up. Help me pleaseeee.

Does this happen with a particular camera app...or the pre-installed camera app?
Try another application to see if the camera has the same problem in all applications. You can find other camera apps in the Play Store .
If 2 factory resets didn't solve the problem I suggest to take your phone to a service center for a check up.
A valid Warranty should cover this.

  • Can't connect my camera to mac

    Hi,
I have a Nikon D40x and I can't connect it to my mac. I plug it in, but absolutely nothing happens. The camera says "connecting to PC." but no reaction even after 2 hours. Does anyone have an idea of what to do?

    HI,
If you have iPhoto installed, launch iPhoto. From the iPhoto Menu Bar, click iPhoto/Preferences and select the General tab. Where you see: Connecting camera opens; click the pop up menu and select iPhoto.
Also, check the Nikon vendor site here to make sure your camera is Mac OS X compatible.

  • I can't connect my camera to my iMac

I've connected this camera hundreds of times in the past.  But now it says"A USB is attached that is drawing too much current.  The hub to which it is attached will be deactivated."  What's going on?  This is just a little digital point and shoot.
I asked this question over a week ago and it was suggested that there might be a short in the cable and it was also suggested that I buy a powered hub.  I did both of these things and it’s still doing it.
Someone then suggested testing it by unplugging everything else and I did that. If I unplug everything, it will then work.  I can then plug in my mouse to get my pictures on my computer, but when I eject my camera and then turn it off, the error message pops up again.  Weird. How do I correct this?

    Kathy,
The most certain method of uploading pictures to your computer is getting a card reader and putting your SD card in the reader and connecting to your iMac. If you want iPhoto (or any other application) to open when you connect the SD card then open Image Capture (Applications - Image Capture) and in the lower left click the upside down triangle and choose the application you want by navigating to it.
You can also try doing some basic resets, where I'd start is rebooting in Safe Mode , this will clear some caches. If that does not work then reset both the SMC and PRAM per:
    SMC RESET
    Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and ALL peripherals.
    Wait 15 seconds.
    Attach the computers power cable.
Wait another 5 seconds and press the power button to turn on the computer.
    PRAM RESET
    Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.

  • I can't connect my camera to my Mac tower - final cut doesn't recognize the connection.

I have a Canon AH X1 video camera which uses the older 6 pin firewire - I have a 6 pin to 9 pin adapter, but when I connect the camera and go to Capture and Log, it doesn't recognize the camera is connected.  Even when I click NOW, it does nothing.  My camera output settings have been set by the manual for this type of connection, HD and downgrade OFF, or something like that (don't have the camera in front of me this moment).  Any ideas?
    Thank you!

    Thanks for the quick response!  I have a smokin' Mac Tower - 2 x 2.4 GHz Quad-Core, 10GB RAM, Mac OS 10.6.7.
I am running 6 pin firewire using a 9 pin adapter.  I have one internal hard drive - 999GB, formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled) - 914G are free.
Camera Settings - Playback STD - Comp out 1080i/480i
    HD Down Conversion - OFF
When I start up Final Cut Pro, it says
External A/V Unable to locate the following external devices:
    Apple FireWire NTSC (720 x 480)
Your system configuration may have changed, or your deck/camera may be disconnected or turned off.
Please check your connections and click "Check Again" , or click "Continue" to set external device detection to None.
Then, when I go to Log and Capture, I get:
Unable to initialize video deck.  You may still log offline clips or use Capture Now.
Beneath that, "Initializing Device Control..." stays up and frozen.
THEN, if I click OK and Capture NOW, I get a quick flash of a screen that disappears, and nothing happens.
    Thanks in advance...

  • Can't connect my camera using the usb port.  Why does an error message appear?

I've connected this camera hundreds of times in the past.  But now it says"A USB is attached that is drawing too much current.  The hub to which it is attached will be deactivated."  What's going on?  This is just a little digital point and shoot.

A powered hub is a USB hub with it's own power supply.  Google "powered hub".  There's plenty to choose from.  These don't depend on the computer connection to supply power to the USB devices connected to them.  That's the reason for them requiring a separate power supply and of course why they are called "powered hubs".
The fact that your camera works when the printer is disconnected confirms what I have been saying.  The machine just cannot supply enough power (I think it's 500mA max) to supply all the devices you want to connect concurrently (or it's right on the ragged edge).
As for seeing the power draw, the info is indeed in the System Profiler*.  Select a USB device and look for info labeled "Current Available (mA)" and "Current Required (mA)".  It's the current required that I think is the power draw.
    * It's also shown in USB Prober in the Developert tools utilities.

  • Can´t connect sony camera to final cut pro

    Hi.
I have a Sony Full HD camera model HDR - HC7 (PAL). I´ve been trying to connect it to final cut pro HD but it doesn´t recognize the camera. Already tried a new cable, already connected and disconected, but still the same
Is there anything I can do?
I appreciate your suggestions and answers.

run the system profiler and make sure the computer is seeing the camera.
I don't know the camera, but is it possible that it needs to be in some sort of vcr mode or perhaps needs a menu setting adjusted.

  • IPod Touch not travel friendly - can't connect digital camera to it.

I thought the iPod Touch would be perfect for any trip... Until I went on a trip with it.
Why doesn't Apple design a USB interface for the iPod Touch that plugs into the bottom of the unit, allowing digital cameras to to connect via USB through PTP? Just like if you had connected it to a Mac? Then you could upload pictures and videos to Flickr and Youtube from the iPod Touch while you are traveling! All I want to take with me on my trips is my iPod Touch, and my digital camera.
By the way, many hotels don't offer wifi, only ethernet! How about an ethernet adapter for the iPod Touch???

They did do for some previous iPod models. But maybe it wasn't popular enough to continue development.

That won't work with the iPad, unless maybe there's a "control monitor" app somewhere.

I don't think you can connect a printer since you won't have the printer drivers. I use FingerPrint from collobos.com to print to my non-AirPrint printers.

    • Only if your video camera supports it.  Depending on how your camera works, you may need to add preview software to your Mac to use this feature.
    • Alternatively, your camera may also be able to record directly into your Mac while you are monitoring the Mac's display.
    • If you are using a consumer camcorder that supports HDMI monitoring, a small HDTV might be an simpler solution than your Mac.  For an example of how this is done, see http://youtu.be/GVpSkZD6qE4.
    • The retailer who sold you your video camera may have other suggestions.
    • If you need more professional results, an external preview monitor will offer more capability on compatible cameras.

  • E3000 - WVC210 Cam - Can't Connect Using IP Address

I've searched here and on portforward.com and have read all FAQ's for a solution to my problem with now luck. Prior to contacting Tech Support via telephone thought that I'd try a post here first.
I've had a Linksys WVC54GCA IP Camera running through my E3000 wireless router with zero issues for quite some time. I just added a Cisco WVC210 PTZ IP Cam. My setup went flawlessly and both cameras are operatng independently of one and other and I am able to view both cameras using my DYNDNS.com supplied Web Host URL's away from home and both camera's are working great on my iPhone 3GS.
I have assigned fixed IP addresses to both camera's. 192.168.1.200 for the the WVC54GCA and 192.168.1.201 for the WVC210. I have setup the Port Range Forward as follows:
    Cam1 80 to 80 Both 192.168.200
    Cam1 1024 to 1024 Both 192.168.1.200
    Cam2 1025 to 1025 Both 192.168.1.201
Here's the thing I don't understand. Again, both cams do what they're supposed to, except; on my home network I can connect directly to the older WVC54GCA using its 192.168.1.200 fixed ip address. I CAN NOT connect directly  to the new WVC210 using its fixed ip address of 192.168.1.201. I get an IE error.
I have a feeling that there's something I'm not doing on the router or it has something to do with being on port 1025. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think there is any issue with the port 1025 for the second camera.
The port 1025 will be used to see the camera from outside.
If you are able to see both the cameras from out side that means both the cameras are configured properly and working fine.
What error message do you get when you try to see the camera using the IP address of the camera?
Try using another browser and check if you can see the camera in the network.
Try to ping the IP address of the camera. if you get replies from the camera IP address then your computer is able to communicate with the camera.
What is the operating system on your computer?
