Can't Connect to Host to download files....help please....
New user here, any help would be appreciated....
I'm doing my hosting through godaddy, just got dreamweaver and am loving it, but have run into a snag.
For the longest time, I was logging into godaddy and downloading any updates through the ftp each time. My friend said I could do that with a single click, but I'm having problems. When I try to connect to the remote host I get "An FTP error occured-cannot make connection to the host. The remote host cannot be found."
I've attached a pictur of my setting....what am I missing?

When I try to do a CC update I get an U44M1I210 error message, "Update failed - Unable to extract the downloaded files. Press retry to download again. (U44M1I210)" - help please - re-downloading makes no difference, applies to latest Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop CC, others seemed to update without problems. I can see the disk image files in AAMUpdater folder but they will not open and come up with "couldn't be opened - resource busy" message.
Yes Jeff, I did all those several times to no avail.
I've included a small error snippet from two installs here. In Creative Cloud when updating the Apps, all 3 get to 50%, then the failure occurs. Retrying starts at 50% and fails the same way each time.
This first one is a segment from the Indesign updater - I have always had the all hard drive folders with read and write privileges allowed and I checked again, this is still the case so I do not know why this particular error message is arising. The second snippet if from the Illustrator update.

Can't connect to get 2.2 update - Help please!
I'm trying to sync my iPhone. I click "check for updates". My computer is connected to the internet. But I get the message "iTunes could no contact the iPhone software update server because you are not connected to the internet." However, I can access iTunes and buy songs.
Any idea why I can't access the update?
Also - my Exchange email hasn't been able to connect for a week. IT just say s "connecting" at the bttom of the email screen and the dial just keeps going in circles.
Could all of this be related?
Thanks for your help!If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
Tip 2 - If you're updating via wifi, place your iPad close to your router to preclude getting a corrupted download.

Do you have a base airport station? What is your internet setup? Is this simply an Airport express that will not be connected at all to a modem with internet access?
Based on what you've said, I'm guessing the answers to the above questions are yes. If so, you'll want to make sure it's set to factory defaults. Hold in the reset button with a paper clip until the light begins to flash. Let it restart and quit flashing. (I'm sorta newbieish, I don't think you're gonna see a green light, I think that means "internet access" However, I think you should see solid amber)
After it's quit flashing, choose your airport station from the Airport dropdown menu in the menu bar. Go to Airport Setup assistant in utilities. Your new AX should show up and be ready to be configured as a plain ol' iTunes streamer. -
In Firefox 4 how can I cause the date on downloaded files to be the current date? (Some are and some are not. In FF3 the dates were ALWAYS the current ones.)

Repaired permissions, trashed SU plist in Preferences, flushed caches, logged on as another user w/admin rights, toggled network connection in sys prefs.
Everything else seems to work fine I can get to site above in browser. Problem started after attempt to get fink running. Fink complains of connect refused after install

• I was happily watching all itunes media on my apple tv but then apple tv asked me to upgrade.
• I upgraded.
• Now it can't connect to any menus related to the itunes store.
• I verified I have the latest upgrade to itunes.
• Homesharing is turned on.
• I have restarted apple tv numerous times.
• I CAN'T watch or listen to itunes 'movies', 'tv shows', 'music', 'podcasts' via apple tv.
• I CAN watch netflix, youtube, movies on my mac, itunes radio.
• I CAN connect to the itunes store via my mac.
• I get this error on apple tv 'unable to sign in' 'apple tv can't connect to the server at this time. please try later.'Lets be frank: this is an internal server communication issue at Apple that they don't want to fix or acknowledge. This "unable to sign in" or unable to communicate issues are all about purchase validation ONLY. That is where it hangs up. For example, I can see favorites but it won't access my list of purchased items. And yet - the only advice they have is reboot?
The same issue happens when trying to watch Netflix on ATV. It can't connect to the Netflix server but gosh golly gee, I switch to my Roku box and no problem. Unfortunately for Apple, while I'm over there I'm starting to to buy movies and shows from Amazon
Apple doesn't make it's money from the $99 Apple TV sale - it's the iTunes purchases. If we want them to listen we need to interrupt that revenue stream. -

FWIW, iWork as such is no longer available; it is now separate applications: Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.
Do you have the older (via install DVD) iWork 09 version installed? Then the new versions should show up in Updates (mac app store). -

I was running into the same issue for the past few days and decided... Heck, just try the old fashioned way and unplug the thing. Boom. Fixed it. Try unplugging it and doing the old reset and see how that goes.

have you tried quiting the app, ie removing it from the multitasking bar also, and then retrying it? Failing that, flick the ipad into airplane mode for a minute, then flick it back, wait for your wifi to connect then try again.

Connect time failover fails with ORA-01033
Hi, I have primary and standby databases configured. I want to configured connect time failover such that when there is role transistion. Clients can connect to DB with out changing anything in thier tns files. Here is my configuration. hosta primary
