Can't connect to iMessage and FaceTime

I'm using an iPhone 6 64gb.
I recently bought my phone. HHowever I seem to find some difficulty with my iMessage and FaceTime activation.
It keeps saying "waiting for activation" for both the iMessage and FaceTime.
And when I tried signing in using my Apple ID, tthey said that I could not sign in, please check network connection and try again.
I've tried the various tips given by some people, bit doesn't seem to work too.
This include rebooting my phone, switching on and off the airplane mode during iMessage activation.
Please help. I really need the iMessage especially.

    if the issue happens when you're trying to reach someone who doesn't have an appleid or is not connected, then it's normal.
    also check in settings>general>date & time> and set automaticly ON, that's a problem with facetime and iMessage...

    After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with iMessage and FaceTime. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice for the issue you are experiencing:
    If you have difficulty activating FaceTime or iMessage - Apple Support
    If you see "Could not sign in, please check your network connection and try again" when signing in to your Apple ID
    To resolve this issue, follow these steps.
    Update to the latest version of iOS.
    Verify that you have a data connection by going to www.apple.com in Safari. You can complete Apple ID activation using Wi-Fi or a cellular data connection. If you need help connecting to Wi-Fi, follow these steps.
    If you're using Wi-Fi, make sure that your local Wi-Fi network is using the recommended Wi-Fi settings.
    Sign in to your account and ensure that the primary email address and alternate e-mail addresses have been verified. If verification is pending, follow the instructions in the email Apple sent to that email address to complete verification. Or remove the e-mail addresses from the account.
    If your Apple ID isn't an email address, you can change it. The Apple ID that you're using to activate FaceTime or iMessage must be an email address. Find more information on how to change your Apple ID.
    Tap Settings > General > Date & Time. Make sure that your iPhone is set to the correct time zone. If Set Automatically is on but the wrong time zone appears, turn Set Automatically off and choose the correct time zone, date, and time.
    Enable iMessage and FaceTime while connected to a different Wi-Fi network (in a different location) if a cellular data connection is not available.
    You can see that you've activated FaceTime and iMessage with your Apple ID by following these steps.

  • Logicboard replacement came with new serial that stops me from connecting w iMessage and FaceTime. Applecare ran out and now I am sure it is this issue... How can I get apple to honor the serial mess up?

    The story is that I have an imac i7 that was still under Applecare when the logicboard coraked.
    I brought it in for repair and got it back. Somehow imessage and facetime would never connect anymore and come up with connection errors yet everything else worked. I tried all tens or hundreds of suggestions over hte last few months and nothing worked.
    So I resorted to a clean hard drive repartitioning and install of Mountain Lion.
    To my surprise: it sill did not work.
    That;s when I found an obscure post that I am quite certain is the problem: the poster had the exact some symptoms I had and NOTHING worked. Hrs of phone support etc. Until it dawned on him that he had a logic board replacement after which the issue occurred. He found that his serial was no longer the same as the original item and came up as invalid on the apple website and was not listed in the "About" of his iMac.
    I immediately recognized the recent support symptom and motherboard replacement and checked the rest. And behold it is all exactly as he said. He had to bring it back to the service center and they put the original serial back in and everything worked again.
    Here is my problem: months of troubleshooting have passed and my iMac went out of Applecare warranty. Support does not warrant an exception for the serial online and the service center wants to get paid    I am not wealthy. This computer is my life and I need them to change the serial back to what it was when I purchased the machine. Can someone suggest how I get help. Apple is acting like M-soft in this respect.

    The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
    You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ...

    Hi, I own an iPhone 4, recently I restored it and now I can't activate iMessage and FaceTime using my phone number.
    I read and performed all the steps shown in apple troubleshooting article about activating iMessage and FaceTime and that didn't work either.
    Before restoring the iPhone both iMessage and FaceTime were working just fine...
    Why is that? What can I do?

  • I can't login on iMessage and FaceTime on my ipad

    For some reason I can't no longer login on my iMessage account and FaceTime. I check my Apple I'd through the manage account and works perfectly fine. So I have iCloud set and working.
    The error message I have is the username or password is incorrect, but as far as I know it should be the same as the one I use for iCloud. So I really don' t know what is going on. Any one can help?

    Hi there.
    I seem to be having a similar problem to a lot of people here where I get an error from both of these applications telling me to check my network and try again.
    I have spent countless hours trawling the support forums and even spent an hour on the phone to apple support and nothing is working!!
    I have a 2008 macbook alauminium unibody. 2.4ghz intel core 2 duo and 4gb ram, 250gb harddrive. It should be working! My brother has the exact same macbook as me and his facetime and imessage works perfectly well. I also have an iphone and ipod touch and both of these applications work on those on my wifi network. My flatmate has an imac running leopard which I can sign into facetime with but not on my mac.
    Apple support put it down to my wifi provider but that can't be the problem if I can facetime and imessage from my iphone and ipod and the imac in the flat can use facetime!!!! Somebody please help!
    Apple have been totally useless which i am very dissapointed with and I just can't sus it out!!!

    On the cost I would have no idea.
    It is supposed to be part of the process in replacing any of the main boards such as Graphics card or main Logic board (Or Motherboard in some older towers).
    If you were the one that had the work done then you should have receipts and proof of what the Serial Number is and what work was done.
    If the Mac is a refurb then who ever did that refurb should have "replaced" the Serial Number.
    Failing you having any of those details you would just have to ask a Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider.
