Can't connect to Internet. Can't renew subscription or access cloud, not a firewall issue...

I'm on Mountain Lion and am not able to access any of the cloud. I was able to download and install the suite, but since then had no access to the cloud. I've tried disabling all security, firewall possibilities and still cannot connect. Now I''m being asked to 'Renew My Subscription and once again, I am told there is no access to the Internet (yes, there is).
What can this be?

K1: apps are forced close + can't connect to internet + can't factory reset

All of a sudden, my ideapad K1 keep poping up messages saying that **** has stopped unexpectedly and force close.
I try to upgrade the fireware while realize there is no wifi connect (the wifi works well on my other devices).
After trying tons of method, including calling the customer service who seems cares nothing and only ask me to do a factory reset. I eventually decieded to do the most stupid fix -- factory reset while told that "com.android.setting" has stopped unexpectedly and exits.
I try to delete the application one by one and after reboot, all the applications are still there.
So basically I can't do nothing change.
Any one has any idea how to solve the problem or how can I do a hard factory reset? Thanks in advance.
BTW: why my panel for this community is in Espanol even though I set it to English?

This might help in this situation,
As I mentioned in another post, if you start having forced closes or any other abnormal behaviour on your tablet or phone etc. shut it down completly and start it again. If that does not help go to settings and open up the applications box, and then open up "Manage applications". Choose "Running" and look at the applicatiions that are using the most memory. some of them are necessary, but others are not. If you see an application running that you never use, go back to "All" and delete the offending application. This should free up more memory, making your tablet more stable.... Hope this helps....
And if you can't shut down the tablet, let it run without charger until the battery runs down and it shuts off that way. Then charge the battery and try starting it again....
I have had my tablet since late october 2011 and have had no problems except if I try to set the brightness on auto. Just leave it on manual and go from there.

Can't connect to internet, can't update firmware

Installed and set up, all went well and works. Tested on Win XP, Vista, Win 7 64, Apple laptop, iPhone 4, all prints wirelessly, or by USB. Now for the problem: It works over my home network, but it will not connect to the internet. No apps will run, nor the update for the firmware. They all say I must be connected to the internet to continue. However, I was able to setup ePrint and go to the eprintcenter.com site, add my printer, and see the status. It said all was good. I had to do this by using the internet, but why will my apps not work, nor the firmware update? Is there a way to download the firmware and install it over the USB? I have a business repairing computers, and have had many problems with the HP wireless printers. I don't recommend any HP products to my customers. But I was impressed with the looks and quality of the Envy, and felt HP might be repenting from their sins, and finally building a quality product. The good is all the wireless printing is working, with little effort. The bad is it is picky about the internet. Anyone have any ideas?

I apologize to HP. Yes, they did repent from their past sins! The ENVY 110 is a great printer. I love the size, color, and weight (heavy) of the printer. It looks very professional. The style looks more professional that any printer I have seen to date. Any executive would want this printer. All the features are now working as advertise. How did I fix it? I switched from a Netgear gigabit router to a D-Link gigabit router. Then reconnected the wireless radio to the new network. Then it just started working. I know that the Netgear is still a good router, but something deep in the default settings must have been causing the HP not to work.
I don't work for HP, nor do I own their stock. I strongly recommend this printer for serious users.

Can't connect to Internet after sleep mode

Most times after put my iBook in sleep mode and reopen it, I can't connect to Internet. I use a normal cable connection by ethernet, but at these times, when I check the network status, it says I don't have any cable connected. The modem apears to be OK, with the computer's light on. I plug off and plug in the cable and it doesn't change and it happens the same when I click in DHCP renew - it just doesn't give any IP adreess. I need to restart the computer to get the connection again.

I just had a similar problem. Both the ipad 1 and ipad 2 in my household quit connecting to the network even though it seemed to recognize it. if you think it is recognizing your network, just not connecting, check to see if bluetooth is turned on. i had to turn bluetooth off and then manually enter the DNS number.
My solution also came after I re-started my network and reset all the settings on the ipad2. The DNS number then showed along with IP submet Mask and router. I used that dns number to enter into ipad1 after turning bluetooth off on it.
Totally unscientific fix that may have been more coincidental than correct but you might try it. BTW--no idea how bluetooth even got turned on to begin with.

client software of some sort running on the machine you are travelling with.

Can't connect to internet on my old g4 flat screen, network + airport ok

I installed an airport card on the g4 (dome) and connected to our wireless network, which gets a signal, (though the status is "not available"). I can't connect to internet (server not recognized), and every time I check the internet assistant app, the setting has been changed back to modem. The router is in the basement: my iMac is on the first floor and works fine, the g4 is on the second floor. Is that too far away? Do I need to update the g4? Two minis also work fine, one on first floor and one in basement. Any help appreciated.

Which iMac G4 do you have? Some iMac G4s are 802.11b while the later ones were 802.11b/g.
If your wireless network is configured for "802.11g only", the older 802.11b iMac G4 won't be able to connect.
If your wireless network is configured for "802.11n only", the iMac G4 won't be able to connect since it isn't compatible with that.

Can't connect to Internet via Airport

I have a PPPOE ISP account. Before upgrade to Lepoard, just fine. Now I can only connect to internet using cable via my router moderm. I cannot connect my wireless router.
The wireless router will appear to be connected but it said self assigned IP. If I hardcode an IP eg. 192.168.11.2 to it. The Airport status will become connected but still cannot dial into my PPPOE account. An message no PPPOE service will appear. But if I plug in the LAN cable, everything work fine. Why this happen? My wireless router work fine with my Window XP and my Mac (before upgrade to Lepoard) What configuration should I change? I am an idot to networking. I have download all patch and has tried boot to safe mode etc.

By power downs do you mean Sleep?
One thing that might work is to set the IP to Static in Network>Configure IPv4>DHCP with Manual Address.

IPhone 5 and 5c can't connect to Internet every 1 or 2 days with iOS 8.0.2

After having upgraded my iPhone 5 and my wife's iPhone 5c to iOS 8.0.2, they both can't connect to Internet every 1 or 2 days.
They can't connect via wifi neither via 3G.
If I restart the devices they start to connect again.
I tried to reset the network settings and also to restore the devices from scratch via iTunes like the Apple support suggested me, but the issue still persists.
I'm very frustrated also because I bought to my wife an iPhone telling her she wouldn't have had all the issues she used to have on a previous Samsung smartphone...
Anyone has having the same issue?

After the update, try resetting your cellular network settings on the phone. Make sure the airplane setting is correct and try shutting it on and off to see if that works.

Tiger 10.4 installed - can't connect to internet - HELP!

Recently installed Tiger 10.4 on an E-Mac 700mz with original airport card, I keep getting error can't connect to network, can anyone offer a suggestion, I've tried every option in the network connect at least 3 times

Open Network preferences in System Preferences. Select the built-in Ethernet port, click on the TCP/IP tab, select DHCP from the 'Configure IPv4' drop down menu then click on the Apply Now button. Next select Airport from the Ports drop down menu, click on the TCP/IP tab, select DHCP from the 'Configure IPv4' drop down menu then click on the Apply Now button.
If you are using a cable/DSL modem only connect an Ethernet cable from the modem to the Ethernet port on the computer. If you have a router connect an Ethernet cable from one of the LAN ports on the router to the Ethernet port on the computer.
Turn off the computer, router, and modem. Wait at least one minute then first turn on the modem and wait until the status lights indicate communication with the ISP. Next turn on the router and wait until the status light indicates communication with the modem. Last turn on the computer. You should now have an internet connection.

5 out of 6 devices can't connect to Internet

Just to preface, this was all working hours ago.
airport express, Mac book pro, ipad, boxee box and Western digital live Nas all can't connect to internet.
my Samsung Galaxy s3 has no problems however.
normally if I can't get an ip address I would just say the Internet is down from the isp. But because I've got one device where it's working fine gives me cause to think otherwise.

You want the device that is directly connected to the modem to furnish the PPPoE service.
This is sounding like you had your Mac connected directly to your modem at one time, so in that type of setup, the PPPoE connection on the Mac would have been correct.
But, since you have added the Time Capsule....and it is now the device that is directly connected to the modem.... the Time Capsule must be configured to provide the PPPoE connection service, not your Mac.
Open AirPort Utility - Click Manual Setup
Click the Internet icon
Your settings should look like this:
Connect Using = PPPoE
Account Name = Your user name with your ISP
Password = Your password with the ISP
Verify Password
Service Name.....leave this area completely blank
Connection = Always On
Disconnect if Idle = Never
Update to save settings and the TC will restart
Either delete the PPPoE connection on your Mac, or if you want to retain it in case you need to connect your Mac directly to the modem at some point in the future, make that connection inactive.
If you are connecting an Ethernet cable from one of the LAN <-> ports on the TC to your Mac, you want the Ethernet connection to be active on your Mac. This should happen automatically if the PPPoE connection is inactive or has been deleted.
Be sure to power cycle the entire network at this point. Power all devices down, or der is not important.
Wait a moment or two, then start the modem and let it urn for a moment by itself
Start the TC and wait for a green light
Then start each device one at a time until the network is back up

Airport card working but can't connect to internet

airport card (just plain airport card) is working and is connected to a verizon fios router. signal very strong. just can't connect to internet via safari, camino or firefox. running 10.3.9 os. i've rebooted twice to no avail.
altho, i can connect on my g4 powerbook using the same router.
why isn't the g4 flat panel imac connecting? any ideas?

In the Network system preference panel, is the wireless component
selected and in the list of items in the configuration the Mac sees?
You can drag the item(s) into preferred order of use, if there is more
than one, ie: dialup modem, ethernet connection, airport base.
If both computers have a similar operating system, it may be an
idea to look carefully into each, and not change anything in the
one which appears to work correctly; to look for differences.
Does the wireless router provide support for 802.11/b as well
as wi-fi 802.11/g? The older airport card runs on the older spec.
