Can't connect to internet on any apple devices?

This is the same on my mac and iphone. Internet is fine, mac gets all green except on network goes yellow but says it's connected , please help someone

You need to check your router and/or with your ISP. This does not have to do with the devices.

  • Can't connect to internet on any device

I have had my TC for almost 2 years without incident. Recently we have been having connectivity issues on all our devices (Macbook, iPhone, iPad). The green light on TC is on, and airport utility shows we are connected to wi-fi (on all devices), but we still have trouble connecting to the internet. One minute it will be working fine, then the next it won't connect. When I turn the airport off and connect my macbook directly to TC via ethernet cable, I can connect to internet which leads me to believe it is a TC issue. We have tried a hard reset. We have tried restarting the modem. We even turned both the modem and TC off overnight without any success. Any help would be appreciated. Neither my husband, nor myself are computer gurus, and I'd prefer not to have to pay apple $20 for help! THANKS!!!

Please tell me the actual model number of the TC.. look on the bottom label or molded in the rubber.. A1xxx..
    What modem do you have?
What mode does the TC run .. router, ie DHCP + NAT or bridge?
Do you have any applecare on a computer to still cover the TC? It might actually just need replacement.
You stated you did a hard reset. What about a factory reset?
Factory is more useful as you completely eliminate the old settings.
I then want you to set it up with some specific changes.
Wireless names different to before.. I want you to use names that are short, no spaces pure alphanumeric.
And to use different name for 5ghz.
A different name also for the TC.
I would also like you to set a specific speed on the WAN port of the modem.. and perhaps even replace the WAN patch cord to the modem.. unlikely to be faulty but it is good to make sure of everything.

  • My network is fine, iPad can't connect to internet via any router, even when other computers work fine.

About a week ago, my daughter's iPad2 stopped connecting to the internet. It will connect to some of the routers in the house, but not all, but then just hangs in Safari, netflix, app store...basically anything that requires going online. Even if the signal is super strong and other computers connect to the internet just fine, the iPad just won't.
I've tried everything short of a full reset.  We're in IOS 5.1.1. 6 gigs free. She's frustrated because it's summer vacation and she would really like to watch netflix.

    Hi Jenroses,
I would suggest backing up your iPad and updating it to the latest iOS, which is iOS 6.1.4
The links below should help you with this:
Choosing an iOS backup method (Should I use iTunes or iCloud to back up my iOS device?)
iOS: How to update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
Be sure that you are in range of your Wi-Fi router (access point).
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and then on again. If unable to do so, see this article.
Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and Cable or DSL modem are connected to power, turned on, and indicate that they are connected to the Internet. If not, refer to your network administrator or ISP for assistance.
    Restart your iOS device.
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you are connected. Then tap the blue dot and choose Forget this Network. Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network again.
Note: You will need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your desired network requires one.
Turn your Wi-Fi router off and then on again2. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
Update your device to the latest version of software.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2.For AirPort Base Stations, see this article for information about firmware updates.
If your issue is still unresolved
Follow the steps below for the issue you are experiencing.
Unable to locate a Wi-Fi network
Unable to connect to a Wi-Fi network
Wi-Fi disconnects, or signal strength is less than expected
Unable to access the Internet while connected to Wi-Fi
Unable to automatically connect to Wi-Fi
I hope this information helps ....
    Have a great day!

    Tgara,
iphoto doesnt work in any situation. I have tried via itunes and directly via iphoto.
Above what you see is the error report that is generated when an app crashes. I am hoping an advanced user will see this report and be able to assist me. I think its shameful that when I want to import my photos I have to so it on my PC.

  • I can no longer connect to the internet from any other device.

Having successfully upgraded to OS X Mavericks from Snow Leopard I can now no longer connect to the internet from  any other device.  I have an iPhone 4S, a Galaxy Tab, and an internet radio, none of which can connect to the internet since the upgrade.  They connect to my BT Home Hub without a hitch, it’s just that they do not connect at all to any website.  All was fine before the update.
The upgrade was to my iMac and that’s fine, no connection or surfing issues.

My 1st Generation time capsule won't connect to the internet thru a new motorola sb6121 - get continuously flashing yellow light. Using a router in between the modem and capsule yields good but slower connection to internet. Any thoughts?

    Thanks for your response
Let me give the history - I started with an Apple Express being fed thru a D-Link  EBTR 2310 cable Router from an RCA DCM315 Modem (Pure). Comcast service all the way.
Got the 1st generation TC in 2008 and merely replaced the Airport Express with the TC. Worked ok
A year or two ago I did try removing the modem and feeding the TC directly from the modem. Resulted in the same condition I have now - Continuous flashing amber on the TC. So I put the router back in the chain.
Some time later, at the recommendation of a Comcast rep, I replaced the router with (a Belkin F5D 5231) to see if speed and dropout problems would be improved. I thought it helped some at the time but now I am not so sure.
Last week I decided to see if a new modem would help with download speeds. So I got another pure cable modem (Motorola SB 6121- high on the Comcast recommended list).
Got up and running easily with Comcast help and with the modem connected directly to a computer.
Next I put the TC in the link and again could not get past the TC continuing to flash amber. Although I did get connected to the internet with this configuration I lost connection two both of my printers - one connected by USB and the other wirelessly to the TC. Again everything works fine when I put the Belkin router back in the system.
    However with the router in there, the modem shows the downstream connection to be 10/100 ethernet speed. (Modem light changes color for indicating speeds.}
I have gone thru all of the combinations of powering down/ up, but all stays the same.
I can live with what I have but something still doesn’t seem right.
    Thanks again

  • Can't connect to watch abc on Apple TV

Can't connect to watch abc on Apple TV

I'm having a problem with getting past the "Accessing ABC" with the "loading wheel of doom" screen.  Consistently will not load, and has not since I purchased the ATV last year.  Have restarted, then reset all settings and finally restored to factory with same ATV.  I have Comcast/XFINITY and have not reached out to them yet (I'm delaying that four hour hold time as long as I can.)  I have been able to activate one of the Disney apps using the same WiFi connection I'm using for ABC, and was able to stream video effortlessly when activated.  I am really frustrated that I can't get the Watch ABC app to load, and looking at the feedback given over the past year or so, responsibility has been shunted from Apple to ABC to the internet provider so that there seems to be no solid answer.  Any thoughts?  Thanks very much in advance

  • I bought a used macbook pro from a friend. Software updates are available, but when I try to update, the computer asks for apple id and will only accept the former owner´s. How can I connect my macbook to my apple id?

I bought a used macbook pro from a friend. Software updates are available, but when I try to update, the computer asks for apple id and will only accept the former owner´s. How can I connect my macbook to my apple id?

The first thing you should do after acquiring a used computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. How you do that depends on the model. Look it up on this page to see what version was originally installed.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard installation disc, which you can get from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller — not from eBay or anything of the kind.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the gray installation discs that came with it. If you don't have the discs, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To boot from an optical disc, insert it, then reboot and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, it should boot into Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
Once booted from the disc or in Internet Recovery, launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive — not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive, which is what you should do.
After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. When the installation is done, the system will automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
You should then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. If you want to upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, buy it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the previous owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed — you have to repurchase them.

  • Can't connect to internet on my old g4 flat screen, network + airport ok

I installed an airport card on the g4 (dome) and connected to our wireless network, which gets a signal, (though the status is "not available"). I can't connect to internet (server not recognized), and every time I check the internet assistant app, the setting has been changed back to modem. The router is in the basement: my iMac is on the first floor and works fine, the g4 is on the second floor. Is that too far away? Do I need to update the g4? Two minis also work fine, one on first floor and one in basement. Any help appreciated.

Which iMac G4 do you have? Some iMac G4s are 802.11b while the later ones were 802.11b/g.
If your wireless network is configured for "802.11g only", the older 802.11b iMac G4 won't be able to connect.
If your wireless network is configured for "802.11n only", the iMac G4 won't be able to connect since it isn't compatible with that.

  • Can't connect to internet through WRT54G

I can connect to the internet through DSL modem but cannot when going through the WRT54G.  All lights on router lit correctly.  Actually set up this router 6 months ago or so and worked both wired and wirelessly for awhile.  Then could only access internet wirelessly with laptop.  Started messing with the router to get it to work wired with desktop but now won't work.  Can access the router set-up page but not sure what to change.  Saw somewhere to change the routers IP address to 192.168.2.1  didn't solve the prblem.  Have tried restoring factory defaults, recommended power on/off sequences (modem, router,pc) and holding reset button for 30 seconds.  Also tried Easy connect tool on the Linksys site.  Icon in lower right of pc screen indicates status as connected but still cannot connect to internet.  Any help is very much appreciated.

I had the very same problem with the same model router. It turned out to be the Security setting in Internet Options. The security setting was on Medium. After changing it to Medium-Low, I could connect to the internet through the router.
If you are not familiar with changing the Security setting, let me know and I will reply with the steps to take.

  • IPhone 5 and 5c can't connect to Internet every 1 or 2 days with iOS 8.0.2

After having upgraded my iPhone 5 and my wife's iPhone 5c to iOS 8.0.2, they both can't connect to Internet every 1 or 2 days.
They can't connect via wifi neither via 3G.
If I restart the devices they start to connect again.
I tried to reset the network settings and also to restore the devices from scratch via iTunes like the Apple support suggested me,  but the issue still persists.
I'm very frustrated also because I bought to my wife an iPhone telling her she wouldn't have had all the issues she used to have on a previous Samsung smartphone...
Anyone has having the same issue?

After the update, try resetting your cellular network settings on the phone. Make sure the airplane setting is correct and try shutting it on and off to see if that works.
    See if that helps.
    Good Luck!
