Can't connect to itunes with my iPod (touch).

My IPod is disabled (I haven't used it in quite awhile, don't know why it's disabled) and is asking me to connect to itunes. When I try to, I get an error on itunes saying "iTunes could not connect to the iPod "Nathan's IPod" because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iPod before it can be used with iTunes."
...Yet I can't because I'm being to to connect to itunes for my ipod to be unlocked.
Any solutions to this odd paradox? Thanks!

Can't connect to iTunes from my iPod Touch or from my Computer!!

Since yesterday, I have been having trouble connecting to the iTunes store from my iPod and computer. I can search for apps and whatever on both devices, but when it comes time to download them, on the iPod it just says "Waiting.." for a while, then it says "cannot connect to the iTunes store"
If I try to download an app from iTunes on the computer(Windows Vista, HP), it'll go to the iTunes store, I can search for things all fine and dandy and when I get an app I want to download and click it and type in my password to download it, it'll say, "Accessing iTunes store..." then it says "We could not complete your iTunes store request. The internet connection has timed out"
My internet connection is perfectly fine, working just great. I've tried everything it suggests on the Apple site, from changing the hosts abd firewall settings. NOTHING IS WORKING!
I'd really appreciate some help. This is very frustrating. Holidays are supposed to be happy times, right? :'(

Whenever i try to sync music, apps, videos etc. on to my ipod touch from my home computer it wont let me apply where it says 'apply' as it is sort of shaded out. This started happeneing when i downloaded IOS5 so i got a replacement and it did not work. So right no i'm stuck as i have nothing on my ipod.

right, figured it out. had to put it in disk mode, then reconnect, then it was recognized, then i restored and put everything back onto it. hope this helps anyone else who has a similar problem

"Connect to iTunes" icon on iPod Touch 2G???

On Wednesday I upgraded to OS 3.0 on my 16 GB iPod Touch 2G. Everything was working fine until this afternoon when I turned on my iPod to read an e-book that I had been reading earlier and there was a black screen with an icon of a USB plug and an arrow pointing to an iTunes icon. I tried shutting down completely. It didn't help. I tried charging it with a wall plug. (I was at work and couldn't get to iTunes.) It didn't help.
When I got home I connected it to my MacBook and ITunes, it synced and all seems to be well now, but what the heck happened? Is this a sign I have a problem lurking in the background? (And, no, it's not a jailbroken iPod and never has been.) I bought it new, I'm the only user, and it's worked flawlessly until this.
Any ideas?

Have you had this happen before? I haven't. I tried googling "Connect to iTunes icon for iPod Touch" and there were a couple of posts but I sensed that those folks had it happen on a jailbroken iPod.
Did you upgrade to the new iPhone OS 3.0?
I'm hoping someone that knows what caused this will reply so that maybe we can prevent it from happening again. It sure was a helpless feeling when I couldn't get to iTunes while at work. Now I feel like I can't depend on the iPod to always work properly.

Can No Longer Connect Wirelessly to ITunes With My IPod Touch

While I can connect to the Internet with my IPod Touch through my router, I cannot seem to connect to ITunes wirelessly. My device only shows when I have it connected through the cable directly. The Apple help site hasn't been much good, as they suggested to completely uninstall ITunes (I followed their instructions implicitly) and re-install. Same problem. Not sure if this has anything to do with the new OS....but it's suspicious.

Funny thing is, my desktop is hard wired too, but for grins and giggles I put iTunes on one of my laptops, and used the laptop to reset my iPod to factory settings. Wireless synch still didn't work....
What really aggravates me is when you go to the KB to find out how to troubleshoot an issue, the articles are pretty much blank. Click here, set that, but no real explanation of how stuff works or what can cause it to break....
One thing I have noticed is the KB article says that after you tell iTunes to use Wireless Synch if you don not eject the deivce, it will stay connected when you unplug it... I never saw that behavior....
