Can't connect to links received in email.

Unable to connect to links received in email. Have to copy and paste the link on to the search engine.
Anyone got any ideas how to fix that?

i have the same problem. it only happened after i deleted some cookies. think i must have deleted something by mistake. What is it that allows you to connect to a link anyway?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPhone?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.

I had FB working again two days ago, and yesterday in mid-serve Safari just "couldn't find the server" once more...
That's a different issue...
First, if you can just use English, open System Preferences > Language & Text then select the Language tab. Drag English to the top of the list then restart your Mac.
Now for the server issue. Try using Open DNS. That shold help the "couldn't find the server" issue...
Open System Preferences / Preferences then select the Network tab. Click the Advanced tab then click the DNS tab.
Click +
Enter these numbers exactly as you see them here.
208.67.222.222
Click +
208.67.220.220
Then click OK.
Try accessing Facebook on Safari now.

Looks like blocking software to purposely block a page by messing with the url.

How can I set up a "receive only" email account in Outlook 2010

I have an Outlook 2010 email account that receives emails from a "Fax-to email" service, and I'd like to make that accout "Receive Only". Is it possible to do that, and if so, how.

As per the information and details provided by you, to set up a
“Receive Only”email account in Outlook 2010, please follow these steps: -
You have a few options available to you. You can set up the account with
a fake SMTP server name and configure the Send/Receive group to not send mail from this account, or you can use a different, valid account for the Outgoing server, just in case you accidentally use the wrong account when you compose a message.
First, create the account in Outlook: -
Fill the name and address fields with the desired information. Select
POP3 account type and enter the incoming server name.
In the Outgoing server field, type
nomail.
Enter the correct username and password for the incoming mail account.
If you want to verify the incoming server is correctly configured, click on
Test Account Settings, and then choose the dialog after the incoming server is verified.
Deselect the option to
Automatically test account settings when the Next is clicked.
Click on the
Finish to return to Outlook.
Because Outlook will error on every manual send and receive when it can not find the outgoing server error, you need to change the
Send and Receive Settings for this account.
Press
Ctrl+Alt+A to open the Send/Receive Settings dialog. (or you can go to
Send/Receive tab, Send/Receive Groups and select Define Send/Receive Groups.
Click the
Edit button.
Select the receive-only account, then deselect
Send Mail Items.
Click on the
OK, then Close to return to Outlook.

Can't open CUP link directly from email notification ( GRC 5.3 )

Hi Everybody,
I am working for a client where GRC 5.3 is installed.
When we submit a user request in CUP , a link is automatically generated in a mail and send to the manager/ approver based on the workflow. But the problem is that client is not able to open the link directly from the mail. They need to open it everytime manually through browser. This happens in Dev system only. Where as in Prd system they do not face any issue. They can directly open link from mail automatically send from CUP.
Can someone guide where is the problem in terms of setting because Dev and Prd is behaving different way.We are unable to find exact location where we need to make change in Dev grc. Please help.

Hi Kakali,
You must have different configuration Dev and Prd. Can you check the application and redirection URL link under SMTP server link? I think the problem resides there as CUP uses those links in the email.

I have recently started having a problem with inserting a link into my emails. I have tried all the help hints, but nothing works. The links go into my message, but they don't work when I click on them. I have to tell others to paste them if they want to bother opening the link. I have a Mac Book Pro. Thanks

Prior to this I would just go up to top line and click on mail link to this page, but that doesn't work anymore.

Can I connect a stereo receiver to Apple TV and stream iTunes to my stereo?

I copied this question from a discussion archived from 2008, it's pretty much my question, although I hope to get a little more information on the answers... My stereo receiver (Sony STR-D511) is an older one but currently my TV (signal from Directv DVR) plays through the receiver on video 1 but I can't get the Apple TV to play through the stereo... My TV is quite new, a philips 1080, and the Apple TV is hooked in to HDMI 3, the Directv box is hooked into AV3, I believe I'm having issue with all the different sources my TV has and somehow I'm unable to cross the paths (make the connections) any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I would like the ability to play my itunes via Apple TV through my stereo receiver so that it's on the Stereo speakers rather then the TV Speakers.

Hi, and firstly thanks for the reply... I think my TV back has different labeled areas, so I took a photo and posted -- I'm bad with the electronics terms and the translating of it all - ( I attached a pic) - I hope this helps with the photos you can also see where I have
thing plugged in - that one with svideo/rca cables is AV 3, where my DVRbox is going - the red/white cables on the right without a yellow go to my video 1 input on my receiver... the cables on the side are for my dvd player which the audio only works thru TV as well... then also below the red/white ones is HDMI3 where the apple tv is going... that's why i thought the stereo would work because its right below the cables that go to the stereo?

Apple has done their best to install proprietary software in their wireless routers that is designed to only allow other Apple routers to repeat or extend the network wirelessly.
So, the chances are extremely small that a D-Link....or another other router for that matter.....could be configured to do what you ask.
There are no settings on an AirPort Extreme that would allow a D-Link device to extend the network, so all that you can do is experiment with different settings on the D-Link device to see if it might be possible for it to extend the network.
A post on a D-Link support forum might be a good idea to see if any D-Link specialists have some ideas on this topic.

How in Pages 5 can I create a link to an email in my Mail

In the Notes section of an event in Calendar I can drag an email from the email message list into the note and a "Show in Mail' link is created. Great, however I can't find a way to do the same thing in a Pages document - that is, on a page in my document I want to add a link to a particular email in my Mail program. When I drag from the email message list, the email symbol won't drop into the page I have open in Pages - when I let it go over the page, it just returns to my Mail program, indicating 'not possible'.

Open the parent file. Go to Tools> Advanced Editing> Link tool. Then draw an area in the parent file with the link tool to open the new file. You will get the Create link dialog box. Under Link action, select "Open a file" and click on next. Select the file to open and click on Select button. You will get the "Specify Open Preference Window". Select "New Window" and Click on OK. Save the file and re-open it. This time the new file will open in a new window keeping the parent file.

FF4, can't connect per link click-thru, probs with hulu/utube vids, per no advert thing

I've GOT to get this fixed ASAP. Needing to make an order from website where you have to click link to get to another website to get percentage off purchases. Never had any issues with this process/website before. Not one. This started after downloading FF4. It won't let me click thru, says "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www..."
Also having issues with youtube and hulu. Every time I go to youtube, page says "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at ad-g.doubleclick.net." I can still watch most of the vids. Hulu gives a similar message on many of the vids, it won't let me watch because says can't access ads. Sometimes it will still let me watch after long pause.
The first problem is most pressing, but this is all such a hassle and waste of time. Tried to download googlechrome, but FF4 won't let me! Same connection statement, "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www..."
Have wasted so much precious time on this. Have lost trust in and admiration for FF.

That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links in that part of the screen not clickable.

Just above the textarea that you use to enter the message text on the "Compose New Mail page" there is usually a button bar with buttons to add text formatting like Bold and Italic. 
That toolbar may also have a button to turn a text link into a clickable hyperlink (look for a chain like button). 
You can select the text and click that button to turn the link into a clickable hyperlink. 
If you can't find the button then hover them all to check the tooltip of each (e.g. Insert hyperlink).

I would like to print from my android tablet using my hp printer.
Both the devices are connected to the access point of the tp-link.
I seem to have understood that to connect to the wireless the printer requires a device with wps technology.
I think my old access point is not equipped.
Does anyone know a way to skip this block and connect the printer to the wireless???
