    Can anyone help me?  Since upgrading to v6 of the iphone software the other day, all my contacts have gone, and I can't connect to orange contacts restore to get them back, or access my email. Other web pages seem ok.
    When I try to connect to the orange backup app, the connection just times out and says connection error.  When I try to access my email it says verify i have put the correct a/c info into mail settings.
    Both things were fine before I updated.

    I am having the same problem. Have tried everything I can think of and have bee searcing the community for a solution without any luck. I think I am going to uninstall ios6 if I can figure that out and reinstall.

  • Ios6.1 can't connect to the email server

    I just updated from 5 to 6.1 tonight.  Since then, I can no longer get my yahoo email.  I get a message saying it can't connect to the server.  This happened once before to me, but all I had to do was turn the phone off and then on again, and it resolved itself.  I tried that this time, but it didn't work.  Does anyone have any ideas?  Not being able to connect to my email would be a big inconvenience.

    Yahoo mail server can be down (it happens quite frequently).
    Try, delete the account and set it up again.

    What mail client are you using? What settings have you used? What is the system response? What role plays here Office 2007?

  • Suddenly can't connect to Yahoo email?  "Incorrect username or password".

    I thought I was past all the email headaches I've had with the X. Its certainly not a Blackberry...lol
    Everything has been working fine for the last month and now all of a sudden it wont connect to Yahoo. I've tried removing the account and setting it up again. I've tried every different suggested setting. I got it to work and it synced up all my yahoo email and then an hour later it wouldnt connect again. The error message is "Incorrect username or password".  I've entered the correct information.....trust me.
    I am at wits end with this phone. The email problems have been going on since the Droid came out. Why hasnt Verizon resolved the problem?
    Any suggestions as to what I can do to get my problem correct? I love the phone...but hate the email functionality.

    Not a Verizon issue...a Droid issue. My bad...I see I stated verizon in the first post. I meant to say motorola.
     You can search the internet and find many people have had the same thing.. I've had lots of problems with bellsouth also....and so have many others. I still cant , and never have been able to, send an attachment with my bellsouth account.. I had a Verizon Blackberry for years and never once had trouble accessing yahoo or bellsouth. I dont want to switch back. I think the Droid is a cool phone......but if I'm paying $30 for a data plan and need to get my emails I expect to get my emails.

  • Can't connect MacBook Air to iCloud?

    I just upgraded to Yosemite yesterday, and since then I've had extreme difficulty using any application that either involves iCloud, or any sort of password prompt.  Most noticeably the App Store and iTunes crash basically every time I try to open them.  I can't even log into Spotify, which as far as I know is not affiliated with the cloud in any way.  I was thinking it might be a web connectivity issue but I'm able to use Google Chrome just fine (albeit with a noticeable amount of lag in comparison to Mavericks.)  So, I'm at a loss for what to do, and without many options to do it, as I have foolishly neglected to even touch my Time Machine for the duration of my ownership of this computer.  Thanks for your help!

    Try:
    - Resetting the iPOd. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Pwer off and then back on yur router
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reet Network Settings
    - iPhone and iPod touch: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

    Try unplugging your WiFi router for a few seconds.  Then reset the iPad network.  Go to Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings.  You will need to reconnect to the WiFi.

    I have a school email, which is a type of gmail account, but it ends in "college.edu". when I try to connect this account to the mail on my computer, it doesn't recognize this account as a type of gmail and I can't get it to connect.     First of all I should point out that Freeserve has had a number of name changes first to wanadoo and more recently it was bought by Orange, the mobile phone operator, this does not change your email address or any other details. It just means the webpage you go to manage your account now has the Orange logo on it and I will refer to them by their new name "Orange" on this page.
    Emails have stopped arriving, whats going on?
    If you have a problem getting emails from the Orange email server, there are a few common things it could be
    * your firewall or security software is preventing the connection
    * Orange switched off the server name you used that worked previously, so you must adjust your settings
    * your account has been temporarily deactivated. This can occur when Orange changes the terms and conditions of the pay as you go account or when they detect that you have not dialled into their account for sometime.

First, remove the memory card if there is one within the device currently and try entering the IT Administrator's information given by the company via the add email. If the memory card is not interfering, the next step is to configure the email client. What year is the Outlook client for both of your employers so that we can review further steps?

    Co-worker has iPad (4th gen) with iOS 6.0.1 and would like to upgrade to iOS 8 BUT the iPad  does not connect to wifi or 3G to make that upgrade.     If you have the urge to say suddenly my mail stopped downloading / working. It is more than likely not an issue with your mail client. Sometimes it is the mail provider changing connection settings so these need to be confirmed. Other times if it is following an update to Thunderbird, then it is more than likely the firewall component in your internet security suite / anti virus.
    I suggest you look at the anti virus/firewall aspect.
