Can't connect to personal domain since iLife upgrade

I would REALLy appreciate any direction here
I have a site - www.askkaty2write.com - which I give clients to see my writing samples. I upgraded it iLife09 yesterday and now cannot connect to my personal domain. I get the "Looking for something on Mobile Me" error page. I am totally freaking out.
I phoned Godaddy, who told me that the domain name is still pointed to the mobileme servers, and really, all that has changed in 24 hours is the upgrade, so it must lie within Apple. I used the online tech support but literally got no where - two different tech people who couldn't help at all.
Any type of direction would be so very appreciated. thank you!!

Your default page in Site_3 is :

Perhaps using only the Sitename will get you out of trouble when you change/delete pages.:

If you change/delete the Sitename you will get the same problem.
One can avoid this kind of "problems" by simple paying attention to what one does, and remember it.

    Hey there arunvdi,
    It sounds like you are unable to connect to the Wi-Fi created by your Personal Hotspot. I recommend these troubleshooting steps from the article named:
    iOS: Troubleshooting Personal Hotspot
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2756
    Try disabling and reenabling Personal Hotspot from Settings > Personal Hotspot or Settings > General > Cellular > Personal Hotspot.
    Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    Wi-Fi troubleshooting
    If you encounter an issue using Personal Hotspot with other Wi-Fi devices, try the following:
    Turn Personal Hotspot off.
    Verify Wi-Fi is on in Settings > Wi-Fi.
    Turn Personal Hotspot back on.
    If another device is unable to join your Wi-Fi network, ensure that the user enters the Wi-Fi password correctly. If the device cannot see your Wi-Fi network, verify your device name.
    Note: Windows may not properly display a device name that uses non-ASCII characters.
    Verify how many devices are currently using your Personal Hotspot. Depending on your wireless carrier and, the maximum number of Wi-Fi connections may be limited to three at one time.
    If the other device still cannot connect, try turning Wi-Fi off and on again on the device. Verify that your device can see other Wi-Fi networks.
    Note: If you see an "Unable to Join" or timeout error when trying to connect a device using Wi-Fi, ensure that you remain on the Personal Hotspot screen until the first device connects. After a device has connected, you can leave the Personal Hotspot screen and use your phone normally. Your device will automatically stop broadcasting using Wi-Fi if you put your device to sleep or after 90 seconds elapse with no devices connected using Wi-Fi. You can start broadcasting your Wi-Fi network again by tapping Settings > Personal Hotspot.
    If none of the previous steps resolves your issue, restore the iPhone.
    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Regards,
    Sterling

    can not connect the iTunes Store, since the last update 2 weeks ago, iOS 6.1.2 has stopped working, help me, please ....

    Ok, I am having literally identical issues with Marathon Max.
    I try to connect, and it says, "Itunes could not connect to the itunes store, Make sure your network connection is active and try again." I have contacted my ISP, and they ran a full check, and sayed I should be able to connect to pretty much all websites. I did the whole "ipconfig" thing and that was no help. I also tried the "msconfig" thing, and it sayed it did not recognize it as any kind of command, internal or external command or operable program or batch file. Whats strange is I can connect from another computer just fine, but when offered to upgrade itunes I declined for fear of the same thing happpening. I am tempted to just upgrade it and thus demonstrate that itunes has a flaw in their upgrade. I will save this computers diagnostics, and the other one's too, before and after the upgrade. I look forward to sending more feedback regarding this matter

  • Can't connect to server domain from server

    Hi,
    Since 2 days ago, i stop being able to connect to server domain from its own browsers. I'll try to explai:
    I've my server up and running, you can check here: http://www.servidorlocal.com. I'm able to connect to this domain from all computers inside network and from my IOS devices over 3G.
    The problem is when i try to connect from the server itself (safari, chrome, etc) always give me an error telling that cannot find the host.
    Trying to connect over localhost or 127.0.0.1 it also works, but with the domain didn't work...
    I cant understand why.
    Hope someone here can help me solving this issue.
    Regards
    Mozack

    OK,
    I've solved the problem. If someone with the same problem, here what i do:
    1 - System > Preferences > Network
    2 - Choose from the list the network adapter that server uses, in my case is the LAN adapter.
    3 - Click Advanced
    4 - Re-configure the LAN connection (even with the same data).
    5 - OK, server running locally too.
    Thanks

  • Can't connect to a domain pc remotely from home pc

    Hi
    I am trying to connect to my work PC, which is connected to a domain, from my house PC.
    The house PC is on a wifi network, and the work domain PC on a DSL network.
    I have the IP address of the domain PC that I'm trying to connect to.
    I used teamviewer to connect to it, but suddenly teamviewer doesn't connect anymore.
    The PC that I'm trying to connect to has it's remote desktop allow connections enabled under the My Computer --> System Properties --> Remote Settings
    Steps I took to try and connect via remote desktop:
    1. opened Remote Desktop Connection
    2. Typed in the IP address
    3. An error comes up saying: "Remote desktop cannot connect to the remote computer for one of the following reasons"
    I've tried the port fowarder, ip-address:3389   but that does not seem to work...
    How can I remotely connect to my pc?

    Are you using the free version. As i know with free version after certain time it stops working. Happened to me in the past.
    I always have a backup remote connection you can try one of these but you need to install these software on the remote machine first.
    This one is free only for personal use and it works really well. Once configured on both end you have the option of RDP in this software.

  • Can't scan or connect to WPA network since kernel upgrade

    Hi guys,
    I upgraded to kernel 2.6.29 earlier today and have been having trouble with scanning and connecting to WPA encrypted networks since. I'm stuck with a wired connection for the minute, but I can't have the wire going through the house for so long otherwise somebody will trip over it - probably me.
    I usually use netcfg to connect to the network, but since the update that has failed.
    My network called is a Belkin USB Wireless G, model number F5D705ed version 5000ed. It worked perfectly fine on 2.6.28 using the rtl8187 native drivers.
    dmesg output for 2.6.29
    usbcore: registered new interface driver rtl8187
    rtl8187: 8187B chip detected.

    I can start the card up using
    sudo ifconfig wlan0 up
    When I attempt to scan for a wireless network, I get
    sudo iwlist wlan0 scan
    wlan0 No scan results
    The network is WPA, and would scan fine on 2.6.28.
    wpa_supplicant.conf looks like this
    ctrl_interface=DIR=/var/run/wpa_supplicant GROUP=wheel

    ap_scan=1
    fast_reauth=1
    network={
    ssid="Arazmataz"
    psk="*****************"
    priority=5
    I should note though, that since the update - /var/run/wpa_supplicant seems to have disappeared.
    network.d/profile looks like
    CONNECTION="wireless"
    INTERFACE=wlan0
    SCAN="yes"
    SECURITY="wpa"
    ESSID="Arazmataz"
    GATEWAY="192.168.1.1"
    KEY="**************"
    IP="dhcp"
    IWCONFIG="rate 54M"

    dhcpcd times out also and netcfg fails to connect. Going back to WEP seems to work ok.

    I've made some progress though - but still can't connect. I can now scan for a network though.
    /etc/conf.d/wireless-regdom
    WIRELESS_REGDOM="GB"
    /var/run/wpa_supplicant still didn't exist, so I created a /var/run/wpa_supplicant folder - and saw a few success messages in the log. This allowed me to bring the card up again and scan for a network.
    At this point, I was getting excited until netcfg2 still kept telling me that it couldn't associate with the network.
    I installed wicd and gave that a go and got the following. I did a 'tail -f /var/log/wicd/wicd.log' and got this;

  • Can't view my personal domain html hosted on .mac mobleme

    I just set up a mobleme or .mac trial account because I am now using iWeb to redisign my web page. When I publish the site it gives me a message saying I can now view my web page at http://mywebdomain.com but when I click the menu to view it the web browser takes me to the adress but it is the .mac page and it says it doesn't exist. When I check my .mac personal settings the page is listed as my personal domain and the iweb file is listed in my iDisk file menu. so where is my site and how do I fix this problem?

    Okay, so have you entered your domain name into the personal domain setting in your MMe account?
    Have you been to your domain name registrar or hosting company and changed the DNS settings so that you can set-up CNAME to re-direct your domain name to MMe? If not you need to do this before you can view your site. It will be something similar to www, then pick CNAME from a drop down menu or fill in and then web.me.com and CNAME is set. It can take up to 24 hours to take effect though.
    If you have not altered these settings then you need to for your site to be visible. However, you can still view your site by going to web.me.com/username/sitename. All sites can be seen like this even if you have set up a personal domain.

  • Can I make the personal domain go away?!

    Problem: I played with the personal domain thing in the 2.0 phase of iWeb, and decided to wait until the update fixed things. I USED to have my GoDaddy URLS point to each of my various iWeb sites, which they still do. However, when I publish now, iWeb loads to that personal domain, and I can't make it stop. I never changed the CNAME or anything on my GoDaddy site, just went on .Mac to add a personal domain to the list.
    Can I make iWeb STOP trying to load to that personal domain? I deleted it from the .Mac page, but iWeb still shows it at the bottom of the pane as a green dot followed by my email (domain). Now EVERY site loads to that domain, followed by /sitename.
    Old domain: www.swatphysician.com pointed to
    Old iWeb site: http://web.mac.com/macdaddymd/iWeb/swatphysician
    New iWeb is www.swatphysician.com/swatphysician
    I tried republishing the entire thing to .Mac after I deleted that personal domain from .Mac, but it did the same. What I want to do is go back to the old way... use my GoDaddy redirect to point to the various sites by their own personal domain names (www.76whs.com, www.76lancers.com, etc.).
    Can I make iWeb forget it ever heard of my personal domain?!

    I explored the possibility of setting up the personal domain feature, but was unable to get the support needed from my host to ensure that it would function properly. I'm considering simply using web forwarding to send people where they need to go. I added and removed the personal domain information from within my .Mac account and it had nothing to do with iWeb. Maybe I'm clueless on this, but that was my experience.
    Anyone who has previously been pointing to their .Mac iWeb site will discover that all the addresses will change after upgrading to iWeb 2.0.1 version. At least, that was my experience. Blog entries have a completely new method for naming pages (old pages are given new URLs based on the new naming system). The entire site was under an iWeb folder (as you pointed out in your message). The new sites are located directly under your .Mac account name.

  • Can i use a personal domain name with iweb 06?

  • Can't set up personal domain

    I've reviewed the .Mac Help to use my personal domain for my web site, but when I go to my account settings page on the .Mac home page, there is no button that says "Personal Domain"...so I can't complete this step. Anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks!

    there is no button that says "Personal Domain".
    That happens when you are trying to use a trial .Mac account. You need a paid account to have that feature.
    However, you can still use ordinary url forwarding, where you type web.mac.com/username into a form at the place where you have your name.

  • Connection to personal domain

    I have my .mac account setup to host a personal domain. I haven't updated it in a month or so. I went (via iPhoto) to add some pictures today, and the site had disappeared. It was gone from the web, and iWeb acted as if it had never been setup before.
    Any ideas on how (or if) I can recover my whole web site? I have Timemachine back until January. Does it keep the site on the hd somewhere that i don't know about? If so I can recover it. I just have no idea where to even look.
    Todd

    It's just disappeared off of iWeb and off of http://toddandkathryn.com (my personal domain).
    Did you at one time publish your site to a folder an upload it via ftp to toddandkkathryn.com? Or did you make arrangements with the place which has that name to forward or point the name to your .Mac site? At the moment there is no indication of either of these being done.

  • Can't connect to my domain

    hello,
    I have a server 2012R2 and a mac with vmware, every time i try to connect to my domain with my machine, it doesn't work. I always get error can't connect to AD DC, active directory domain controller, My DHCP is running on my server and my DHCP on  my
    router is turned of, and also entered HTTP HTTPS RDP ports, Buth i am able to connect by remote desktop connection. i have set
    do i need to let my server let him self use DHCP for him to find his IP or set it as static, on my pc I also don't use a static ip should i change that.
    the error i get on my pc

    I'm not clear on your explanation.  Are you running a Mac with VMware?  Have you installed a 2012 R2 VM within VMware?  Is this VM your domain controller?  When you say you are able to connect by remote desktop connection, do you mean
    that you can connect from your Mac to the Windows Server using a Mac RDP program?  When asking about DHCP for the server, if you have set up the Windows Server as a domain controller, that requires a fixed IP address.
    It always helps debug networking issues if you provide the output from ipconfig /all on both the source and destination machines.  If your source machine is a Mac, I don't know the equivalent command, but the same sort of output is useful.

  • Siri can't connect to network - broke since yesterday

    I picked up my iPhone 4S launch day and since then, with the exception of a few hours on Oct 17, Siri has worked great.  That is until yesterday when Siri started complaining that it can't connect to the network.  It's been doing so since then, even in the middle of the night when there should be less load on the server.  I've tried Wifi and 3G, neither works.
    I've tried turning the phone off and on, do a reset of the phone (hold home and power) and turning Siri off and on, but nothing works.   Siri is basically broken.  I've read that others have gotten Siri working, but I can't. It's going on 24 hours of The Siri network being down.
    How can I get Siri working?

    My wife's 4S (iOS 5.0) experienced the Siri outage several days after receipt of the new phone and restoring from a backup image of her 3G iPhone. Siri was working fine for several days (well beyond the system-wide outage in October) before it mysteriously stopped working. For days she kept getting the pitiful "I'm sorry, I can't connect to the network at this time" response whenever Siri was tasked with anything at all. This occured on both 3G and WiFi connections.
    I had another 4S of my own and Siri seemed to be working just fine during the same time period, from the same networks.
    We tried the - turn off Siri, reset Network configuration, turn on Siri - operations as suggested previously on numerous occasions and received no positive results.
    In this case service was not restored until a "Erase All Content and Settings" reset action was taken, followed by a restore from recent iTunes backup was completed. Everything seem to be working as expected now.
    In hindsight I didn't appreciate being told by Apple Support that Siri was "Beta" code. I didn't pay a $100 premium on the latest hardware where Siri was actively marketed as a differentiating feature of the new phone, only to hear that it was Beta code. This sort of excuse is something that is far below the quality of support that I've come to expect from Apple, and I hope for their sake that this trend does not continue.

    iCloud has no hosting feature. Not even the Galleries .
    You need to find a replacement for your website at mobile me once it gets disabled ( sometime next year ).

  • Can't connect to 10.6 Server after upgrade

    I have a Mac Mini server running 10.6.8 using kerberos as the only authentication for AFP.
    After upgrade my Macbook to Lion I can't connect to the server Sharing Points anymore. If I try to connect from Go to Server, it asks me for a password. I think I am not being authenticated via kerberos. Before Lion everything was working fine. Another computer running 10.6 client are connecting fine, so I am thinking the problem is with 10.7
    I used Login Options > Network Account Services to bind to the Server. Green Light!
    I tryed klist from terminal but no credential was found, so I used kinit username. Now it shows a credential but I still can't connect.

    I solved use to finder menu connect server to and use complete name server with domain example:
    afp://nameserver.domain.com and connected with kerberos
