Can't Connect to Remote Server with DW CS6?
In the last couple of days I'm having trouble connecting to my website host server (IPower) via Dreamweaver CS6.
I've been using this program and setup for several years but this weekend it takes 4 times longer to try and connect and ends up cancelling the operation usually.
Sometimes it connects for a few seconds then I get an error message: "the connection to the remote host has been lost."
Just wondering if this issue is Hughes ISP related. I tried disabling web acceleration with the same result. All other web and email operations are working fine.
A colleague with cable internet connects to my host with Dreamweaver with no problems.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance, John
It could also be a local hardware issue.
I had a wireless router that went belly up once in a very odd manner. I could connect and see the files on my FTP server, but uploads wouldn't work. I connected the computer directly to the modem, bypassing the router all together, and everything worked fine.
It's something to check before you call your ISP and start sending them off on a possible wild goose chase.

How can I connect the remote server which is installed with oracle
Now my computer is in my home,in my computer there is installed with the oracle 9i client, the server is also installed with oracle 9i,which is in my company. Now I want to use sql*plus to connect the database of the server through the internet work.I have created one listener service name in my home computer, but can't test successfully and the sql*plus can't connect the database.Who can tell me how to do it?Thank you!
Technical questions need to be addressed to one of the technical forums-- Products | Database | Database - General in this case.
Unless you are VPN-ing in or the DBA's at your company have configured Oracle Connection Manager to allow you to connect through the firewall to the database, however, I doubt this will work. If they have configured Connection Manager, you'll have to ask them to provide you with connection information. 99.9% of the time, you do not want people to access a database via the internet.

How to connect to remote server with jmx from jvisualvm
I have a WL 10.3.2 domain running on a single box. The adminserver and managed server are running on the same box, on different ports (7001 and 8001, respectively).
I have a Spring application deployed to the managed server and I've configured it to register a Spring bean as a JMX mbean.
When I run this entire configuration on my laptop, I can run jvisualvm and connect to my server and see and manipulate my registered mbean.
I'm having trouble figuring out how to get a remote connection working, however. I want to run jvisualvm on my laptop and connect to the remote server.
I first did "Add Remote Host", where I specified the IP address. It appears that this was created successfully, and it apparently was able to determine the DNS name for it.
I then tried to add a JMX connection. In the "Connection" field, I just entered the IP address followed by a colon and 8001 (managed server port number).
In the "Use security credentials" section, I entered the weblogic admin principal and credentials.
When I click OK, it chugs for a while and eventually gives up, saying:
Cannot connect to [email protected]:8001 using
service:jmx:rmi:///jndi/rmi://nn.nn.nn.nn:8001/jmxrmi
What might I be missing?I've resolved this. At least I was able to configure an authenticated connection. It doesn't use SSL yet, but I'm ok with that for a while.
Resolving this only required changing the command line parameters for the managed server, and being aware of the "jmxremote.access" and jmxremote.password" files. The following blog article helped a lot: [http://www.dzone.com/links/r/monitoring_your_java_application_with_jmx_part_2.html] .
I'm now passing the following command-line parameters:
-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=8888 -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=true
The default "role" configured in "jmxremote.access" is "controlRole", and the "jmxremote.password" file specifies the credentials for that principal. I simply used that principal and credential in JVisualVM, and the connection succeeded.
And I just used the "host:port" form, not the protocol form.

Hi!
I just discovered the hard way that I no longer can access the NAS on the office, using my iMac that is upgraded to 10.8.5
It seems to be an issue of "legacy AFP" no longer supported in 10.8
I found a KB, but the instructions tells me to connect to other AFC source, while editing Preferences. I only have this NAS over AFP in the office.
Can anyone help me with other ways of enabling legacy AFP on my office iMac?Hi!

Problem with Safari **Safari can't connect to the server**
My internet is working fine, but I keep having to refresh the page because I'm always getting "safari can't connect to the server". Same thing happens with different browsers. I've read a couple things online and unistalled everything that I think is causing the problem but it's still happening frequently. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Most school networks are closed networks. You can access their Intranet, with all the files and peripherals and everything, but you need to have a specific password or IP address to access any outside connection. I have an ibook G4 that's 3 years old. I used it in high-school to access AOL wirelessly. That was before closed and protected networks were prefered. It shouldn't matter if the school intranet is widows based or not. You need to access your own internet service sometimes in order to get any reaction. If you simply use safari, you might only be connecting to the schools intranet, which only links together the schools computers and keeps the system isolated. Also, you need to check your firewall settings, in fact, just turn off the firewall. The schools sytem is firewalled up the bum and you shouldn't get attacks anyway because you're running the mac os.
You might also try an alternative approach. Go into a computer lab, access one of the systems, then go to control panels and look up every connection you can find. Take down all of the info and then see which matches up with similar info on your mac. Then go to another pc and look up the same info again. Is it different? How? Then take that listing to the system administrator and show them. They may not know that a mac has a simpler interface than the pc, so you may have to do some prodding to get them to take a look. If they still tell you it wont work, you could try boot-camp or a virtualizer (to let you run windows alongside the mac os). If you use a virtualizer, you can get your own copy of windows and then share it's connection to the main system to the mac. -

Using calendar in OS X Mavericks. When it tries to connect to iCloud it gives me VERY annoying pop-up message, that it can't connect and that server responds with CalDAVAddSubscriptionCalendarQueueableOperation: 400.
Help me please, really need my calendar!Hello Steve
The simple and quick fix is right-clicking on that little Safe icon in the system tray (near the system clock) and choose Stop Backup/Synchronization. Do you see that icon?
Turn it on and off as needed. Did this work for you?

How can I connect NetBeans 6.1 with SQL Server 2005?
Hello guys...
how can i connect NetBeans 6.1 with SQL Server 2005?
there is no SQL Server in Server list when we create a new Web Project and choose Server.
I'm new to NetBeans and this is my first time of posting.
If has some errors and unwanted disturbing, pls understand me. Thanks.
(If you have references or some snippets, i'll be glad if u can share.)
scsfdevThe JDBC-ODBC bridge wasn't recognizing any of the primary keys I had set up in SQL Server. After lots of head banging, here's the solution I came up with:
1. Download the appropriate driver. SQL Server 2000 requires the SQL Server 2000 JDBC driver (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=07287B11-0502-461A-B138-2AA54BFDC03A&displaylang=en).
SQL Server 2005 download: (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=C47053EB-3B64-4794-950D-81E1EC91C1BA&displaylang=en)
3. After installing, right-click on "Libraries" in your project, and choose "Add Library...". Next, give it a name (i.e. SQLServer2000), and select "Class Libraries".
4. On the next screen, find the JAR files (should be in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Driver for JDBC\lib\), and add them under the "Classpath" tab. It will now be available under "Libraries" for future projects.
5. You can now create a connection to a specific database under the "Services" tab (next to "Projects" and "Files" in the top left of the screen). Select "Microsoft Sql Server 2000 (Microsoft Driver)" and format the "Database URL" like this:
jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver//YOURSERVER:1433;DatabaseName=YOURDATABASE
1433 is the default port, though your DBA may have changed it.
I posted a simpler version of this on the NetBeans.org FAQ page - they had the following title with no content on the answer page:
"Cannot Select Tables From MsSql 2000 Because It Says No Primary Key Next To Each Table But The Tables DO Have A Primary Key. What Do I Do?" -
I have a version 7.0.4. I can't connect to the server. My capacity is 13.5 with 10.4 GB available. Diagnostics and usage data, when scrolled to the bottom, tells me I have low memory. How cani fix this?
Clear Safari, close all apps on the iPad and reboot. Then see if you can connect.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data.
Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to each app then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If you still can't connect to the internet, you need to do some more troubleshooting with the network connection, but report back with more details if that doesn't work and don't just repeat the question in the text box are that you have to describe the problem. That serves no purpose at all. -
How can you run a command with elevated rights on a remote server with invoke-command ?
I am trying to run a script on a remote server with invoke-command. The script is starting and is running fine, but the problem is that it should be running with elevated rights on the remote server. On the server where I start the invoke-command, my account has the necessary rights.
The server were I launch the invoke-command is a W2K8 R2. The remote box is a W2K3 with powershell v2.0 installed.
When I launch the script on the remote-box from the command line, I don't get the access denied's.
Is there a way to do this ?
Thanks in advanceThe script that I want to run is to install the windows updates. I get an access denied on the download of the updates.
When I execute the script on an W2K8 box, (not remotely) and I run it with non-elevated rights, I get the same error.
The script is running fine when it is launched on W2K3 box locally with a domain account that has local admin rights, or on a W2K8 R2 server with a domain account that has local admin rights, but with elevated rights.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Automatic discovery of the Lync server failed. Please verify the server requirements at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=278998 . Lync mobile apps do not require automatic discovery. You could enter the server FQDN manually and test connectivity again.
Microsoft Lync Connectivity Analyzer cannot analyze deployment readiness until a discovery test has completed successfully.Hi

Cannot connect to remote server
When trying to make connection to remote server, I receive a
message, "FTP, error, cannot make connection to host-Logon and
Password are incorrect... However, settings are correct as I could
get on in the past and when testing for remote site in site
management the message states "Adobe DW Cs3 connected to your web
server correctly".
My OS is MAC 10.4.11 My site developer can get on with DW8
using a PC and a MAC. Have tried everything short of deactivation
and reinstall.Plese tell us what your remote site definition has in each
field (you can
omit the password).
