Can't connect to Update Server - help!

I un-installed and re-installed Snow Leopard, but now I can't connect to the update server, or even re-install properly from a Time Machine backup. When I try it says the updates can't be saved or can't connect to the update server - check your internet connection, but my connection is definitely working as I have contacted my ISP. I have tried verifying and repairing disk permissions, and some other stuff I have read on other support sites.
Please help me, thanks in advance.

Was thje TM backup 10.6 also?
I never use TM for Backups, far better less painful backup methods, but...

    I'm having the same issue. I would like to update my atv to the latest software version.  I connect it to my mac mini running 10.7.3 and everything seems fine till it tries to verify update with apple.  I get the message can't connect to apple update server.  I imagine there is a communication error between my mac and apple servers?     I made the mistake, first to update iTunes to version 7.6
    And now, I am unable to get the new iPhone Firmware.
    My friend, sitting right next to me, chose to do it the other
    way round and he managed to get both, first the iPhone Firmware
    and then the iTunes update.
    I guess, I will have to wait...

  • "Software Update Can't Connect to Update Server"

    I am running 10.4.9
    For whatever reason, I can no longer update the System using the Software Update function.
    Have done the following:
    I have deleted the software update preferences.
    I have tried logging in under a newly created account.
    I have repaired and verified the disk.
    Nothing seems to work. I can otherwise connect to the Internet, and even the Itunes store just fine.
    Any suggestions?

    Not sure, but I would try and download and install the update manualy. You can get it

    Then do your restart and try software update again to see if it works.

    i'm not having any trouble connecting to Cirrus right now from my house.
    our hosting provider, where the Cirrus servers are located, caused a connectivity problem for one of the many servers in our cluster from about 07:00 UTC monday til about 19:00 UTC monday. however, during that time, our plenty-of-redundancy kept the cluster operating normally. my utilization graphs show completely normal usage patterns during that time and up through now.  i rebooted the affected server at about 19:00 UTC, which cleared its problem and returned it to normal rotation in the cluster.
    other than the reboot to clear the issue on that one server, there have been no changes to the cluster in quite some time.  please try the Cirrus sample application:

    if that works for you but your application does not work, then most likely you have made a change to your application or your networking environment, since no real change has been made to Cirrus.

    Hello.
    I am not asking you how to do it, I just want to know if it is possible. I tried Google first, and there was an answer saying "no", but that thread was dated 2007. Maybe there could be any improvements, since 5 years have passed.
    There is a Windows Homer Server that holds music. I think it is using DLNA technology. I did not install any special program on it, but all my other devices such as Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Atrix can play music using DLNA clients.
    Now, I would also like to see the shared music on iTunes on my MacBook, but I cannot find any option. It would be a little bit odd if iTunes is the only thing that does not talk in the same language while all Windows/Samsung/Motorola devices do.

    Thanks, but, using the "free" version of Reader, there is no opportunity to open nor import the xml data - the menu options do not exist - there is no import listed.
    If we try to open the xml file directly, then we get an error - something to the effect of "unsupported file type, or the file is corrupted".
    I just noticed in my Pro version that there is the command File ->Form Data ->Import Data to Form... command. Is this what you are referring to?
    What do you recommend? Perhaps the easiest thing to do would be to purchase a few copies of Acrobat Pro for the reservations people to use? I was hoping that the free version of reader would do it, but perhaps not?

    Place the iPOo in recovery mode for the passcode issue. For recovery mode:
