Can't Connect to Video Conference

Hello,
I have a Macbook OS 10.5.6 and Ichat 4.0
I'm not able to connect to video chats for some reason. I never had problems before but suddenly it doesn't work anymore.
Every time I try to connect with someone it sends and says it's connecting but it says that they cancelled the chat and when they send me a request it says that I cancelled the chat. I've chatted with the same people with no error in the past. The error i get is "there was a communication error during your chat" i saved the detailed log and will post if needed.
Any assistance you can provide i would greatly appreciate it.

Hi,
My vocabulary on this goes like this.
Modem. (possible Cable that does not route or DSL that most certainly will although there are exceptions to both).
That makes some modems combined Modem and routers.
So of those are Wireless.
Most cable modems (that do not route) will need a router of some sort some of which can be Wireless.
Apple call their Wireless routers Airport Base Stations.
From this I tend to think of any Wireless device that routes as the Base (Station).
In this post you list the Modem as "base" you talk about the Mac to Netgear (which I would see as the Wireless base point) and then the PC as "Base" again.
I can see that collectively these are situated in one place, being Wired, and could be though of generically as "base" the same way some people would consider all of those to be connected as a "work station".
Some router and wireless able modems do not allow you to set them up over a wireless connection and you have to use Ethernet. Is this what you mean ?

You do not want two devices routing (Certainly not with DHCP) on your LAN.
Using UPnP in the Netgear will allow apps on the Mac and the PC to find their way though the Netgear as UPnP allows the apps to tell the router which ports to open. (they actually close after a period of Non use)
I have a Sagem Fast 2504 Modem/Wireless/router combined device.
It is set to use UPnP.
I have two Macs that are connected to this, one wired and one Wireless.
I currently have 4 PC towers connected, one Wireless, three Wired.
Two X-Box 360s (son and daughter have one each), wired.
A Play Station 3 that can be on-line (Wired).
One of my Macs is an Intel can can be booted into XP in Boot Camp and is also wireless then.
Occasionally I fire up an old Tangerine iBook and that is wired as well.
The steps to set up the Netgear can be done from any computer that access it using a web browser (the Netgear I used to have before the Sagem allowed Wireless set ups).
