Can't convert desktop app FormsCentral form to PDF

I try the File>Save as PDF but no dialog box appears as it is supposed to to (re)name or choose where to save the file locally.  No PDF is produced.  The File dropdown menu just disappears.  What's up?
Now I have uploaded the form file.  When I open the file online, go to the Distribute tab>PDF Form>Download, an export box appears for a second but doesn't seem to produce a PDF anywhere.  What is going on?  HELP!

Hello Lucia,
Windows 7 Enterprise, service pack 1
The program was installed by the IT Dept here when they installed Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.
Thanks for helping!

    What is the best method for exporting or converting an existing FormsCentral form into an adobe acrobat pro fillable form?

    Good day in2psy,
    As FormsCentral is a web-based service that hosts the forms you create, you cannot download them and use them locally on your computer.

    Can I export or convert an existing FormsCentral form into an adobe acrobat Pro fillable form?

    We currently do not support creating a PDF form. This has been a very common request (we are the Acrobat team so it isn't a surprising one ). PDF form creation is defintely on our roadmap this year.
    Thanks for the feedback,

  • How can I convert an entire excel workbook to pdf?

    How can I convert an entire excel workbook to pdf?  I have the box in the preferences for converting excel files marked to convert the entire workbook.  I am using Abobe Acrobat 11 Statndard.  This previously worked fine when I was using Adboe Acrobat 10 Statndard.  Now in order to convert the entire workbook I have to open the excel file, Highlight all the workbook tabs and then save the file.  Any ideas?

    In Acrobat click Edit | Preferences | Convert to PDF: select Microsoft Office Excel, then click on Edit Settings.  Make sure that 'Convert entire Excel workbook' is checked.

    I don't think that Adobe offers any software to convert .azw4 files.  Search Google for alternate converters.

    How can I convert a Microsoft Publisher document to PDF format. I have free version of Acrobat.

    Hi raythree,
    I'm sorry that your PDF conversion is working. Can you please tell me if you're getting a specific error message? Knowing that can help pinpoint the cause of the conversion failure. However, here are a couple of things that you could try:
    Clear your browser cache (steps to do this vary by browser).
    If you're using a work computer, check with your IT team to confirm if you have firewall/proxy settings that restrict the ability to upload files to the Internet.
    Try another web browser.  A list of supported browsers for accessing the ExportPDF service is available here: http://www.adobe.com/acom/systemreqs/.
    Also, note that there is a 100MB file size limit, so if your publisher file is larger than that, it won't upload to ExportPDF.
    I hope this helps. But let us know if you need further assistance.
    Best,
    Sara

  • If I purchased apps with one Itunes account (hotmail) can I convert the apps to an Itunes (ME) account?

    I purchased apps with one Itunes account (hotmail).  I then changed my account sign-in to a different email sign-in (ME) because of iCloud.  Can I easily convert the apps to an Itunes (ME) account when an update for each app occurrs?

    Did you change your existing iTunes account or did you create a new account ? If you updated the existing account then you should be ok.  But if you created a new account, then as apps are tied to the account that originally bought/downloaded them and they can't be copied or transferred to a different account, only that original account will be able to download any future updates to them or re-download them on a different device.

  • Converting desktop app to mobile app

    hi i have developed a simple java desktop app for making currency conversions, now i want this to work on my mobile, what are the steps to take to convert it, or do I have to start from scratch? thanks

    I think it'll be easier to start from scratch. Java ME classes, even those with the same package and class names, are not the same as their Java SE big brothers.
    Here's a link to a [J2ME Tutorial|http://today.java.net/pub/a/today/2005/02/09/j2me1.html].

  • Can't open Desktop app. "There was an error with this action.  Try again later."  How do I solve this?

    I've been trying to open "Desktop App" for a couple of days now.  I get the above error message.  "Later" obviously isn't going to work.  I've signed out of my account and signed back in, but that hasn't helped.
    I can reach the App Mgr from PS, and I assume I could download a new program from the apps site.  But the Desktop app should work, so I'd appreciate suggestions on how to solve this.  Thanks.

    Thanks for the prompt response.  Up till a week or so ago, the app worked
    fine, and I was able to do the latest updates. The chat option is always
    there, but it's a nuisance, so I'm hoping someone will have another
    suggestion.

  • Keep getting failure msg saying can't convert file containing XFA forms. help

    I just purchased the adobe convert program to convert this one file I need now and it won't work!  it says it can't convert XFA forms. Help! How do I do this?

    You can't. What it says is true, and it doesn't really matter what an XFA form is except that you have one.
    But let's go back a step. Why do you need to convert? What is the problem you want to solve? XFA forms are designed to be filled in, printed, and have their fields exported - that's all, and all most people ever need too. Converting forms to other formats almost never solves the problem people think they have.

  • Can't convert desktop to template because it's not 'available'

    I have a desktop that I want to convert to a template. When I try I get this error:
    "Unable to Convert Desktop to Template
    Could not convert desktop 'test' to a template. The desktop state must be Available and the machine state must the Powered Off to convert a desktop to a template."
    The desktop is powered off, but it's status says idle. Does anybody know how I force it to change to 'available'.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Is the desktop still assigned to the user?
    It may also be depend on how the desktop was connected.If the desktop is personally assigned to a user it will remain idle after power off/log out. To make it 'available' again you may want to remove the assignment.
    In case the assignment is flexible(i.e. the pool is assigned to the user) , Desktop will get recycled after the idle timeout is reached and will become available again.

  • Convert filled out InfoPath form to PDF

    Hi all
    I have this basic setup:
    An InfoPath formular is deployed to Forms Server, and a user fills it out. When the user submits the form, I need to somehow convert the form to PDF and attach it to an email sent to the user.
    Now, this should be done in .NET code. I am still not quite sure if I will do it as an event handler on the Forms Server og if I will let the document go through BizTalk and let it to the conversion... but in any case, what I have is an .XML file that is actually the filled out form and I need to convert it to PDF that matches how the form looks like, naturally.
    I have seen this thread:
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/csharpgeneral/thread/9f43f377-dfd6-4c6e-a361-315bf30f3c91 about it, and I ahve tried doing what it says. But I can't get it working.
    I have installed this one:
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=4D951911-3E7E-4AE6-B059-A2E79ED87041&displaylang=en and it seems to work - I can now save as PDF in Word, Excel and so on.
    Then I created a Winforms program (it wont always be in a winforms program, but for testing purposes...) and I did this:
    1. Add the InfoPath Form control to the toolbox (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.FormControl.dll)
    2. Drag the Control which now appears in my tool box to my winform.
    Then I added this code to some event of the form:
    string file = "";
    formControl.Open(file);
    formControl.XmlForm.CurrentView.Export(".pdf", Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.ExportFormat.Pdf);
    Now, the issue is, that the "Export" method and the "ExportFormat" enum are not recognized and therefore give compile errors.
    The only difference between my using statements and the ones in the thread above is that I do not have this one:
    using Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.FormControl;
    since that name space does not seem to exist - I only have the Microsoft.Office.InfoPath name space. Yes, the Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.FormControl.dll is referenced in my project.
    Any thoughts?
    My setup:
    Visual Studio 2008 with .NET 3.5 SP1
    Office 2007, English
    Windows XP

    I got your sample project, it compiles without any errors nor warnings.
    And then I made some changes to the code so it can actually work:
    using System;
    using System.IO;
    using System.Collections.Generic;
    using System.ComponentModel;
    using System.Data;
    using System.Drawing;
    using System.Linq;
    using System.Text;
    using System.Windows.Forms;
    using InfoPath = Microsoft.Office.InfoPath;
    namespace TestInfoPathFormControl
    public partial class Form1 : Form
    public Form1()
    InitializeComponent();
    private void Form1_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
    string template = Path.Combine(
    Path.GetDirectoryName(Application.ExecutablePath),
    "Template1.xsn");
    this.formControl1.NewFromFormTemplate(template);
    private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
    this.formControl1.XmlForm.CurrentView.Export(@"D:\test.pdf", Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.ExportFormat.Pdf);
    Then I hit F5, the app runs and I can get my test.pdf.
    Don't know why it doesn't compile on your side.
    I tried on:
    Visual Studio 2008 SP1
    Office 2007 SP2 (Beta)
    Windows 7 Beta
    And
    Visual Studio 2008 SP1
    Office 2007 SP1
    Windows Vista SP1
    The file version of Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.dll is 12.0.4518.1014, assembly version is 12.0.0.0.
    Could you also check that assembly on your side?
    Can you see the following memebers from your project's object browser?
    They should live in Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.dll.
    Regards,
    Jie
