Can't copy artwork from internet into itunes; I just get a black screen where artwork should be. How can I fix this?
It was just working fine a few days ago, but since yesterday, I cannot copy my album artwork from the internet into itunes. Please help. I don't know what's wrong with it...I may have to reinstall the whole program.

I've chrooted into it and undid everything and yet it doesn't change anything. I've uninstalled splashy and v86d, reedited the conf files to their original form. The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if Apple Application Support won't install normally.

Recently I bought my macbook with retina display and when I plugged it into the television with using the HDMi cord it worked perfectly fine with the image on the television. But now I when I plug it in to the television it comes up with a black screen and a white mouse. Before this incident I was mucking up with the setting of the mac book and I dont know what I did wrong. Can someone tell me how to fix this ?

I was thinking that you may need to reset the iPod Nano, outlined here How to reset iPod http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1320.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and Volume Down button simultaneously for at least eight seconds or until the Apple logo appears. You may need to repeat this step.
If the above step did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep. Try resetting the iPod while it is connected to power.
If that doesn't quite get the iPod going again, then it will need to be restored. Use this article to help with that Restoring iPod to factory settings http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1339.

Films that I have downloaded from iTunes won't play. I just get a black screen. My computer crashed last week and I had to do a Total Recovery - Films played perfectly before this. I must have deleted a program or link.............. anyone know what could be missing? I can play YouTube videos etc. but nothing in the iTunes store - films or trailers won't work.
The movie is from iTunes. You would think that a download from iTunes to a MacBook could be watched on an HDTV using Apple TV without any headaches bit this does not appear to be the case.

I updated my Itunes and my entire library disappeared including all my playlists. How do I fix this?
Are they really gone? Look in your Home > Music > iTunes folder and folders inside. Do you see media there? Also try to use Spotlight to search for things you know you have.
If you keep media on an external drive, are they there? If it is all there, try starting iTunes with the option key held down and guide to the external.
If really gone, use a backup of your drive to restore the iTunes folder.
If no backup and they are really gone, you can download some items from Apple again. You'll have to re-construct the library though as all the playlists, ratings, date added, and some other things will be gone.

My ipod nano is not recognized in itunes on my computer, when it has in the past. How do I fix this problem?
I would think, Twins1995, that if we are having the problem, others are as well. Hopefully, Apple will shortly issue a follow-up software release to fix the problem. Or is that just wishful thinking on my part.
It would be helpful, if there were some kind of work-around in the interim, so we can use our devices. Pretty frustrating when you consider that all of the hardware and software is produced by Apple. -

I am getting the EXACT same problem. I started to watch an iTunes purchased TV Show episode back on February of 2014. I stopped after about 15 minutes to come back and watch it later.
Yesterday, I tried to continue the tv show, and NOTHING. All I get is a black screen with no audio. The time bar is advancing, so iTunes thinks it is playing. BUT NOTHING.
Can anyone assist with this problem?
PS: I use my iTunes on my PC only, and have for years without this problem.
PC is fully HDCP compliant.

It keeps reminding me why Apple will never be the primary office computer company. Anyone running a business cannot have software running that will not behave, won't shut down, or behaves without any explanation, and this problem has no explanation, or solution that I can find except to use task manager to kill the process and only use iTunes when I'm expecting to shut down or kill the process. -

If no joy...
Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.
If the issue persists...
Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore

Just updated my iPhone 5 to iOS8 and most of my music disappeared. Attempted to sync with iTunes to get it back but iTunes now says I am 26GB over capacity and "Other" files are taking up just over 29GB! What is going on and how do I fix this?I had restored my iPhone 5 to factory settings and that cleared the problematic "Other" problem. Flash forward a couple weeks and the problem has once again resurfaced.
I tried updating iTunes and iOS to the newest versions and the problem still persists.
I'm officially ready to switch to Windows Phone or Android now...
