Can't copy image from Adobe Reader into Adobe Illustrator

I am attempting to copy an image from a document in Adobe Reader 8 into Adobe Illustrator CS3. When I try this I get this message in Illustrator:
"Quicktime^TM and a decompressor are needed to see this picture."
I am running OSX 10.5.2, with Quicktime Player 7.4.1. I just purchased and registered Quicktime Pro but that has not helped.
What I am trying to do is use the image select tool in Reader to select an illustration out of a long PDF document so just opening the PDF in Illustrator is not convenient, nor is extracting the image, saving it in another format and then importing it. Before I upgraded, I was running Illustrator 10 on MAC OS X10.3. I could use the image select tool in Adobe Reader to copy an image to the clipboard, and then paste that image into in Illustrator document. Very convenient. For some reason that no longer works with Illustrator CS3 and OS X 10.5.

I can do that, but it is for my purposes much more convenient to do what I used to be able to do: open a document in Reader, scroll down through the document to find the image I want, select only that image (not the entire page) and then paste it into an already-open Illustrator document. Now what I have to do is 1. use Reader to find the image in the document and note the page 2. Open that page of the document in Illustrator and then 3. copy that page into the illustrator document I am working on and 4. crop to just get the image.

Can I "copy" images from Album to Album and then expect to be able to export that data into Keynote?
I put copy in quotes because I am such a new user I am not even sure at this point when I am copying or moving images as opposed to pointers.
But the bottom line is that I need to know if I can use the data in Albums that I see images in for a presentation.

Aperture 3 does have a few things that work in different ways than Ap2, but dragging images to albums is the same. Cut/copy has never been a feature. It works in a different way. Allan

hello Angshumandev42, from your submitted details the user-agent (the bit of information that identifies the browser) does still look like you are using an old pre-release version of firefox 4.
can you please check in firefox > help > about firefox what version number is displayed there... if it is still 4.0b7 please [[Update Firefox to the latest version]] as soon as possible, since running an old version which dozens of known critical vulnerabilities poses a great security risk.

More generally, when you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first) using either of these:
While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

Can't copy images from smart albums to mobile me gallery

Folks,
I'm rather new to Aperture ... so my question might be a trivial one. I'm having trouble to drag images from a smart album to a Mobile Me album. The images simply do not end up in the gallery. I can, however, create a new gallery from a selection in a smart album, and I can drag images from their regular albums to the Mobile me gallery. Is this a restriction in Aperture 2.1.4?

Same problem here.
Is this just not possible?
Do I have to re-create a new MobileMe gallery every time I want to add photos?
Maybe someone wrote a script?

I can't import images from the web into my iphoto 8

I installed snow leopard a few weeks ago and when I try to click on an image on a website like a friends photo from myspace, and drag it to my Iphoto's icon in my dock it gets rejected, But I was able to do that very same thing before and it would work. I don't know why it won't now unless it is snow leopard. can someone help me fix this problem? Thanks to anyone who can help.

Several people have mentioned this and it seems to be a change with 10.6
If you're using Safari then right click on an image and choose 'Add Image to iPhoto Library'. Otherwise drag the image to the desktop first.

If you can't use the dom.event.clipboardevents.enabled pref then try to hold down Ctrl+C until the translate selection disappears and the text on the left starts flashing.

I trying to copy image from arobat reader 9.3 to Microsoft office document. below is my step to copy the image:
1. open pdf with acrobat reader 9.3
2. rigth click on the image then select copy image
3. paste it to microsoft word 2003 or microsoft word 2007 or Excel
4. it show only full black color picture

Can't drag image from browser into Artwork panel

Hey all,
This is on Snow Leopard, using the latest iTunes and Firefox versions.
When a file (or group of files) lacks artwork, I often use Google Images, find the appropriate image, drag the image to the desktop, then drag the image from the desktop into the mp3 file's "Artwork" panel when you have "Get Info" opened--and then delete the file on the desktop. There's too many steps.
Is there however some way to directly drag the image from Firefox directly into iTunes? And if not, is there some other easier way to add artwork?
