Can't copy/paste in photoshop since yesterday !

(mac pro 6.1 / 3,5 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon E5 / 32Go / OS 10.10.2)
It was working fine and since yesterday (nothing special have been changed on my machine)... WTF ? Please Help, it's so boring to use text edit or thunderbird to paste in photoshop texte from any other app (sorry for my english)

Copy and paste issues here too - started with trying to copy and paste between two photoshop files. If I copy and paste from one file into another file, the pasted object turns transparent. If it manages to paste as opaque, then when I scale the pasted object it becomes transparent. The files don't have any masks and the pasted objects are at 100% opacity. Keep trying to figure out if I accidentally activated a keyboard shortcut for an effect, so far, no luck.

I am using Photshop CC for a few days now, but i can't copy, or cut something in photshop, and then paste it anywhere else.
I can copy something from other programs like illustrator or word, and then paste it in photoshop, but cant copy or cut anything in photoshop.
It's not a problem with my shortcuts, keys, keyboard or something like that, cause i can't even copy/cut from de toolbar...
Help.. Please?

Can you copy/paste files from the Finder to Mail in Lion, or drag them onto the Mail icon in the Dock to create a new message and attach the files to it?

I can't find anything in the Knowledge Base that says these two options no longer work or still do.
I do not have a system capable of running Lion, but I need to know the answer nonetheless.

Gee, I don't know: "paste attachments mail Lion"? ;-)
One further question, if I may: in Panther (which is where I've aggregated nearly 7 years of mail), if you copy more than one file in the Finder, switch to Mail, and paste the files into a new message, only the file names paste in. If you copy one file and paste it into a Mail message, you get the file, not just the name. Is that still true, or has that (IMHO) bug been fixed since 10.3.9?

How can I copy/paste text from one page to another?

I feel like I am taking crazy pills... is there really no way to copy a text box (or group) from one page to another while creating books in Aperture 3? Lets say I have my entire book laid out and I want to add one paragraph at the end on one page which will push text and photos down a half page or so... in most programs for the last decade or so they added really cool functionality... cut/paste... It seems like the apple developers are aware of it because they are in the context menus but they don't work on text, only photo boxes. Additionally, you can copy/paste text but it erases all formatting.
Seriously, am I missing something? I have trouble believing that they can't include this function.
Anyone else have this issue?

Update... it seems to only happen with text boxes which I create. So when I try an existing theme I can cut/copy/paste just fine, but in that same theme if you edit the layout and add a new text box, I can't copy paste it anywhere... the options are in the menu but nothing happens.
Thoughts? Solutions?

How can I copy/paste without copying the formatting? For example, if I copy a sentence from a website and paste it on text editing program, it copies all the formatting as well. How can I turn that off?

There is an app called "No Formatting" in the App Store. It is simple and works perfectly - it strips formatting from paste (Ctr-V). I needed it for Word and Excel, which don't have keyboard shortcuts for this. It can be toggled on and off from the Menu Bar.

hold your finger down in the body of the mail - the part you want to copy. a blue box will comeup and offer to 'select/select all' or something like that. choose the appropriate choice. If you only want part of it that bubble will have two handles that allow you to drag out the selection box.
then hold your finger down again and another bubble will come up offering to cut/copy the words. choose copy
then navigate to your notes app (not sure about the textbook, depends on whether or not it support it) and hold your finger down in an empty text area. you'll get another blue bubble offering to paste it. choose that and the words should appear. then save as appropriate.

I can, of course, create a new keyframe and digit the same size and position (but it takes a while).

Setup Assistent.
When you first start the new Mac one of the first question will be do you wish to restore from another Mac. If the other Mac is on the network you can use Setup Assistent to migrate everything over from the old Mac to the new Mac.

Can't copy/paste or move objects.

Entire Edit Menu, other than "Clear" is grayed out – can't copy/paste anything. Also can't move objects with direct selection tool. Reset preferences and still have same problem. Ideas?

I just had this problem as well. I'm using InDesign CS6, MacOS 10.6.8 where my cut & Paste grayed out and after I made any kind of object. Even though I could select it, I couldn't drag it/move it UNLESS I used my arrow keys to do so. I tried deleting my prefs and restarting InDesign multiple times as listed above but after a full shut down and restart of my machine I finally saw operations return to normal.
Just an FYI.

Copy/Paste in Photoshop CS6

No matter what I do, I cannot copy/paste in photoshop cs6.
I'm trying to copy a layer from one tab (project) to another. I've also trying dragging it but it just won't do it.
I've worked in CS5 and this has never been problem. What am I doing wrong?

I jumped form CS2 to CS6, so I had this same problem. I am so used to dragging my layers in, and I didn't want to submit to the "duplicate layer" method. Followed PECourtejioe's instructions too literally so my layer didn't copy! But then I inadvertantly figured out, you must bring your pointer BACK DOWN into the screen/canvas and it will copy. DUH! (I was dragging to the tab and holding my pointer there to no avail!) It was then when I accidentally moved my mouse into the screen did I notice a little "+" sign. Also, other forums make sense when they say, depending on where you point your pointer in the destination canvas, is where your image will land. Holding "shift" before you drop into the screen will center it!

QT Pro - .mov files - can't copy/paste/export - opens browser

On a couple .mov files, when I open them, my browser opens also. As for the .mov files, I can't copy, paste, export etc.
Can anyone explain this, and is there a way to resolve the browser and other issues?

So I went into Iphoto, selected the Trimmed Movie and selected. PHOTOS, revert to Original.
Now I can COPY and PASTE the MOVIE from Iphoto to a normal Folder.
I then opened the original .mov file in Quicktime and trim the movie. I then go to close and save
"The Operation could not be completed, an unknown error occured"

I can't copy, paste or save in Dreamweaver 5.5. This is frustrating because about 3 months ago CS2 Design Suite crashed and I can't reinstall it. Please help! I'm getting no support.

What is the error message you're getting when you try to copy/ paste/ save? Is this happening only for 1 file or all files?
Can you open up Adobe Application Manager and check to see if you have any updates available for DW and ensure its up-to-date?

CS3 & Leopard - can't copy/paste from InDesign Illustrator?

I have just loaded Leopard and then CS3 onto my new MacBook Pro and then upgraded my existing iMac with another Leopard and the same CS3. Neither machine will allow me to copy/paste images or text boxes from InDesign > Illustrator - It appears to try to (shows the working color wheel - then nothing happens) It will allow me to select/copy the text WITHIN a text frame but will paste text only - not attributes????? I can copy /paste Illustrator >InDesign. also have no problem between Photoshop and either of InDesign or Illustrator?????? Have spoken to Adobe - they have no solution at this point and are 'getting back to me'.... Not a problem on Tiger/CS2 on iMac before upgrade. Appreciate your help!

Possibly running out of ram since it needs to rasterize for photoshop. Save the ai file then let photoshop open it.

Can't copy-paste images from Noteshelf in iOS6

Hi,
I use an app called Noteshelf (v7.0). In iOS5, I was able to copy-paste pictures from Noteshelf into other apps, such as Keynote (v1.7.1) or in an email. However, since I upgraded to iOS6, this doesn't work anymore. As the versions of Noteshelf and Keynote are the same, the logical conclusion is that something has changed in the copy-paste functionality of iOS6. Can somebody tell me about this and, better still, give me a fix for it?
