Can't copy some songs to phone
There are some songs that simply will not copy to the phone. Some are from CD's that have been imported and some are from iTunes downloads. I haven't been able to find a common denominator yet. Any idea what the problem is?
Yeah i originally had this problem too, I beleive the songs are too large for the Rokr, I think it has some kind of limitation so you CAN fit 100 songs on it. i went into the options on Itunes for the Rokr, (Right click phone Icon in itunes and go to options), and I checked, convert files during transfer to blah blah, what ever it was I dont remember, It was the only check box that looked like that, this way I belive it reduces the size and changed the file type to fit on the Rokr, i have had to further problems with songs.
Booyah.

My computer says it can't copy some songs to my iPhone because my computer isn't authorized, but it is.
Hi Sonnova,
Do you happen to have more than one Apple ID? If you've authorised your computer using the one you're signed into then the most likely cause is that the iTunes purchases were made on another Apple ID.
To check you bought them on the Apple ID you're signed into, you can go into iTunes, click on Store and View My Account. From there you should have a Purchase History option where you can check the songs were bought on that account.
If you have another Apple ID then try to sign into that one (sign out of current one and into new one under Store in iTunes), then Transfer Purchases again and you should have no issues.
Hope this helps. -
Itunes can't copy some songs to my ipod
So I keep getting a warning from itunes that it can't copy 3 songs from my library to my ipod. This is what the error says word for word.
"Some of the items in the iTunes library were not copied to the iPod because one or more errors occurred." It than lists the 3 songs that weren't transfered. The weird thing is that they songs were originally on my ipod but since I lowered the bitrate of all my songs, now they can't be on my ipod. It's weird because I've never had this issue until I changed the bitrate. And the songs that are giving me troubles are songs from different albums and different means of getting them. One was from a CD, the other from digital download and the other was from iTunes it's self. So... their good songs and I miss listening to them. What do I do?Hello the_atm
If the songs are having issues syncing to your iPod, see if you can create a new version of the songs in either MP3 or AAC format and then sync it across again. You said one of the songs was a purchase from iTunes, try deleting the songs and then download it again if it will not convert.

Can't copy some songs from old to new iphone
I have some songs on my old Iphone that are listed on my computers itunes, but aren't actually on my computer (they have a small exclaimation mark by them). I can't get these particular songs onto my new iphone. I get a message that could not transfer because the original file could not be found.
Of course you cannot get them onto the phone, as you stated, they are not on the computer.
It is impossible for iTunes to sync content to an iDevice that does not actually exist on the computer.
Restore the missing files from the backup of your computer. You do have a backup of your important data, correct? -
Can't copy some songs onto ipod
Some of my songs won't copy onto my ipod nano for some reason, even though I have the new version and enough space on my ipod, and the files are all fine. I can't figure out why some songs are unable to be imported...(no warning sign, I only find out when I can't find the song I want on my ipod)
The only way I can get the songs onto my ipod is to put them in a playlist and then load the playlist into my ipod. Only then are the songs imported into the ipod.
Does anyone know what the problem is, or how I can make itunes copy ALL my music into my ipod without creating a separate playlist? This only started happening recently, everything worked fine before!
Thanks!Same problem. Some of my playlists wont import either. HELP

You have posted to the iTunes Match forum, which your question does not seem to be related to. Is your question concerning iTunes Match or syncing with iTunes via USB?

can we copy back songs from iPhone to iTunes library, once if deleted from iTunes library ?
Have you not got a backup of your content ? iTunes will only copy back purchases that you made from Apple. For music from other sources you will need to find a program from another source which can copy them back from the phone - if you do a search on google you might find some. Or depending from where you got them from can you re-download them from those sites ?

HT1391 How can I copy new songs from other sites back to my windows folders?
I just bought an ipod and downloaded itunes on it and my lap-top, (where I use windows media player.) Today I bought some songs from another website on my computer, but I couldn't find them in the "my music" folders, I signed on to itunes and found them there. I checked, and my preferences for that site hadn't been changed; how can I copy those songs back into windows? Itunes copied my entire library from my computer...
I'm replying to myself:
I figured this out; just go to the itunes folder, open it, and then move the song, or album, into that artist's folder in "my music." I thought about doing this, then I read the cautions about renaming, or moving, tracks and hesitated. It worked just fine. -
Can't get some songs off my ipod!!
For some reason I can't get some songs off my old ipod. recently I lost all my songs on my new ipod so I went to my old ipod followed the steps of extracting files from ipod to itunes and come to find out that some songs didn't go into itunes. The files I want were downloaded using imesh and they are mp3 format. For some reason when I go into my computer and open my ipod's music folder the songs are not there yet they have to be because I can see and play them on itunes when I connect the old ipod. But I can see one of the files in a folder except that one file is really the entire album. It's about 13 songs and I can't seem to seperate them. So is there anyway to directly transfer all files from the ipod to itunes instead of doing the copy folder steps as described in apple's "transferring music guide"? Also I tried consilidating library and that didn't work either.
There is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs but not playlists back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward.

I can't copy certain songs from my iTunes library to my iPhone despite repeated attempts
I can't copy certain songs from my iTunes library to my iPhone despite repeated attempts. These are songs I copied way back when from CDs onto my computer. I can play them on my computer just fine in iTunes too. Status bar says "Updating files" and "Preparing to Copy" but nothing actually copies to my phone. My phone shows the songs greyed out and circles to the left of the song in the Store column and the songs never get copied onto my phone.
My guess is that there is something I am missing or something I am doing wrong.
Any advice/help is appreciated.
Thanks.

Can not copy any songs or videos from iTunes to iPhone after reinstall Windows 7
I am experiencing trouble with my iPhone. I have to reinstalled my Windows 7 OS due to some trouble. When I reinstalled everything include iTunes back, it can not automatically back up my iPhone to iTunes like it used to. Also, I can not copy any songs and/or videos from iTunes to my iPhone. Fortunately, the application can be restored thanks to the new iTunes version.
Does anyone know how could I restore all my previous services I got before the reinstallation? Help!!
Many thanks..Did you create a backup of your music and videos before you reinstalled windows?

I am trying to copy some songs from my playlist to a CD but it changes the order of the songs during the conversion. I want the songs in alphabetical by name but iTunes arranges them alphabetically by artist.
The apparent order of a burned CD may depend upon how you have iTunes display it - https://discussions.apple.com/message/17827921

Iphone 4 iOS 7.1.1 can't play some songs
All of a sudden I can't play some songs on my Iphone 4. I have iOS 7.1.1. Some of the songs are grayed out and have the download progress square within the circle icon next to them. Tried syncing with ITunes on my pc but get an error "!" next to the same songs. ITunes defines this icon to mean that the song could not be found as it may have been deleted or moved. Anyone have any ideas?
durrrrr. nevermind. re-installed itunes and it looks good for now.
