Can't create a new user on ePrint center for four days now

I've been trying to create a new ePrint user since Saturday when I set up my printer. I think I've tried it 15 times now. All I ever get when submitting the form at:
https://h30495.www3.hp.com/user_create
is:
"Oops! Something just went wrong on our server! We've logged the problem and will fix it as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience."
I saw an earlier thread where someone saying they were an HP employee said it was fixed. I tried it after that and it still doesn't work for me. This is really weak! I would like to use this feature, but if I can't do something as basic as signing in to use it, it makes me wonder who is using it at all...

As reported by one Danish user, the problem was I was using Czech characters in the name, so now it works.
Apparently somewhere along the chain between the web and backend sides someone doesn't have an encoding set properly. In this day and age, with the ease of UTF-8 and Unicode, that's pretty lame...

i can not create a new user account on eprint. I have been trying for over an hour and it repeats telling me that my email addresses are not entered correctly, however they match. ?

I have tried to create an account via ePrintCenter and it seems that the published application has several flaws in interpreting the provided input.
1) In the Filed for last Name I enter my last name, which consist of only Alph Characters. The form however thinks that there is some sort of special character and rejects my Input.
2) E-Mail address. is not identical; OK, so I do a quick OCR on the E-Mail and guess what they are identical. Again the form Fails to recognize this.
3) Enter a password (2 Fields) and a third is displayed which is marked as "*required" but is not labeled as to what the required info could possibly be. Or is it a 3 password confirmation box, who knows.
All I know is that a simple registration is a major pain with this HP site.
Any Help as to how to alleviate this would of course be greatly appreciated.

This should help you out after you have created the new user account. You are trying to make it much more complex than it needs to be. Just follow the directions in:

You are asking about a Database User I hope.
You can look into the Oracle 8i Documentation and find various privillages listed.
In particular, you may find:
Chapter 27 Privileges, Roles, and Security Policies
an intresting chapter.
You may want to do this with the various tools included with 8i - including the
Oracle DBA Studio - expand the Security node and you can create USERS and ROLES.
Or use SQL*Plus. To create a
user / password named John / Smith, you would login to SQL*Plus as System/manager (or other) and type in:
Create user John identified by Smith;
Grant CONNECT to John;
Grant SELECT ANY TABLE to John;
commit;
There is much more you can do
depending on your needs.
Please read the documentation.

Hi,
usually the foreign key is only set if the VO you select is dependent from a master. If e.g. you have DepartmentsVO1 that has an EmployeeVO3 as its nested VO, then creating a new instance of employees automatically add the foreign key. If you add EmployeesVO1, which is not dependent to DepartmensVO1, then the foreign key is not set. So if this is the case in THURA (keep in mind that this is not an Oracle demo but a sample used in a book about ADF) then all you need is to take the independent VO when building the new employee form.

I had been learning ABAP using a trial version but recently purchased and installed a developer subscription of Netweaver 2004 SR3. Can someone please tell me the best way to create a new user for ABAP development and assign the needed transaction authorizations appropriate for a developer? I was able to create one in SU01 and assign a profile of S_ABAP_ALL but still could not get into SE80 with that logon. And the user had a license expiration of only one month, is there a way to obtain a permenant license for it from SAP?

Hi Chris,
You can create a role in t-code pfcg with all required transaction and assign it to your user id or else You can assign profile sap_all to you for all authorization.
Regarding license you can get it from sap.How to get it is explained in the document in the below link.

For ABAP development you need developer key and that also you will get from sap marketplace

Hi!
The way you suggest should not be used.
A CS user will be created as a normal OID user and will receive the CS attributes in a different subtree later during the provisioning.
For creating CS users use oesuser and uniuser. Files provisioning will work in a different manner anyway.

This is definitly possible. In my perspective
it consist out of two steps: customing your login-screen and making a procedure which adds an new user to portal.
The customizing of the login screen is only a extra call to the new procedure.
The procedure is a bit more diffcult, you have to make an user and add rights to him.
I already have a document containing the way to customize a loginscreen.
I also have a sql-package wich adds an user to portal(from outside portal), but the description and inline documentation are in dutch. So I have to do some work on that.

Can't create a new user session with KDE

Hi,
when I select "Switch user" in KDE, and try to start a new user session, I get dropped to a lockscreen of the currently logged-in user. I first thought this was a KDM issue, but this still persists with SDDM. I'd post any relevant logs, but I'm not even sure where to look for the source of the problem now.

Can't create a new user in WGM because of name redundancy.

Hi, I get the error message when trying to add a user who I have previously deleted.
"The name you have chosen conflicts with a name assigned to another user.
You cant assign the name "username" to two different users. Remember that names are not case-sensitive wen checking for conflicts."
I tried searching the forum and web but every other post that people have written are about computers not being able to to be added not users. Would anybody know about this issue? I've been trying to read and figure it out for about a day and half now.

Thanks for the reply. I tried the "show system records' view and it still didn't reveal anything different. I also tried the archiving and importing of the od list before when migrating my server from 10.4 to 10.6. When I did that though, something weird happened when importing and all the passwords got reset to 'aloha' which is what I changed ONE person's password to, so they could re-create their own. Then after that I wasn't able to change the passwords. Also back then, I tried to switch to stand alone and then back to master but I kept getting an error. I can't remember what it said and the directory services log doesn't show it anymore. I really just want to start over from scratch but the semester of the school I work for just started and doing that would be a big step backwards. I appreciate the suggestion though, thanks.

The problem you are having can only be fixed by an HP Field Tech. I am one and I've fixed this issue before. It's an advisory that's only distributed internally at HP. Put in a service ticket. Any tech that has the latest s/n changer can fix this. Once the tech has booted the s/n changer, they'll put the info in like always, only this time, there will be two extra options. For any technician reading this, it'll ask something related to a 25-digit hex value that says (hit enter if unknown.) Instead, enter 25 zeros and hit enter. Then, on the softstylus option, just hit enter to leave it at defaults. That completes the latest version of the tool. This should fix your problem.
