Can't create bookmark

Hi! I'm trying to create bookmark to the text from the table. But when I select text from table "Add bookmark" button from Inspector become inactive.

A+,
I can only guess what the programmers were thinking -- that people who need bookmarks are doing so because they're working in long documents, which are typically on the text layer. As a novelist, I'm an example of that. I've got a 400-plus page document, all of it on the text layer.
Still, I think you have a valid point about the bookmarks feature needing to find all the text, regardless of where it resides. You might leave some feedback.

  • Can't create bookmarks. New install, have disabled all extensions, tried safe mode and reset to defaults. No help from any of these actions.

    Hello.
Problem statement is very simple: Firefox will not create bookmarks.
New installation with Mint 17. New PC build with Asus A58M-A/USB3 mother board, AMD A4 6300 processor, 4 gig memory stick.
All of the Mint and Firefox packages are up to date.
A new profile was created for testing, Firefox has been started in safe mode, purged and re-installed and reset to defaults. None of these actions have helped.

  • Can Auto create bookmark when insert a page?

I know that when I combine multiple PDF file, bookmarks will be automatically created with the file names. However, when I insert page into this combined document, the bookmarks did not auto create. Similarly when I delete a page from this document, the bookmark did not get updated also,
Did I miss out some steps or even version X also does not have this ability?

You can open the Bookmarks sidebar to make it easier to drag a bookmark to a specific folder.

  • Can i create bookmark directly into a folder?

I want to be able to drag the URL of the page i am on directly to a folder in my bookmarks, or else right-click on a pre-existing folder in my list, and get it to add my current page to that folder. Is there any way to do this, or something similarly convenient?
(Right now i only can find out how to do the cumbersome process of doing: bookmarks/bookmark this page/ and then selecting "show all the bookmarks folders" and doing it from there. Quite a round-about way!)

  • Can I create bookmarks in a large pdf document with Reader X?

I have several large files (300-400 pages) where I would like to add bookmarks so that I can quickly refer to certain sections of the document.  Can this be done with Reader X?  If not, which software would I need in order to have this capability?

Adobe Acobat, not the free Reader.

  • Can't create bookmarks in firefox 4

Just upgraded to 4 in W7. No matter which way I try to create a bookmark, when I check my bookmarks list, the new bookmark just isn't there- happens both with saving to unsorted bookmarks and to a category.

I went through the various options in the links you posted, thanks for that, and it was this part that enabled me to once again save bookmarks (**on Linux**):-
// Export bookmarks from firefox, e.g. to home dir, then:-
    cd .mozilla/firefox/xxx.default/
    // quit firefox
    rm bookmarks.html
    rm places.sqlite
    rm places.sqlite-journal
    cd bookmarkbackups/
    rm *.json
    cd ..
    rm localstore.rdf
    cp ~/bookmarks.html .
// start firefox, customizations are lost, e.g. toolbar icons, so have to redo them

  • In Pages (5.5.1) can I create multiple Paragraph Styles within one paragraph?

In Pages (5.5.1) can I create multiple Paragraph Styles within one paragraph.
I need to make a table of contents for my Mater's Thesis and want to use the automatic table of contents feature.  I want the first sentence of a paragraph to have a different paragraph setting than the rest of the paragraph.  Is this possible?
    Thanks!

Nice of you to be doing this for your Mother's Thesis.
    There are several issues here:
    1. A Paragraph Style is what it says, the style for the paragraph
    2. You can format text within a paragraph by applying a Character Style
    3. Pages 5.5.1 lets you apply formatting to overall text for the T.O.C. but not parts of it and you can not retain that formatting as a Paragraph style
So in answer to your question, no.
You will need to create the T.O.C. manually and unfortunately as Pages 5.5.1 can't create bookmarks (just one of over 100 missing features) you will be unable to link the T.O.C. to the referred pages in the list.

  • How to create bookmarks in adobe reader 9

In adobe reader 7 you could create bookmarks so the viewer could click on them and go to that section of the document. I cannot seem to find it on version 9. All you can do is create thumbnails. Any ideas on how to create bookmarks in the newest version?

Adobe Reader can't create bookmarks. Adobe Acrobat can create bookmarks.

You can bookmark all those tabs and place them in a folder.
    * "Bookmark This Page" and "Bookmark All Tabs" no longer show in the Bookmarks menu unless you open the Bookmarks menu via the keyboard (Alt + B).
    * "Bookmark All Tabs" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of a tab on the tab bar.

  • Can you create a password protected folder in your bookmarks in safari

When I open my "Popular" bookmarks folder, can I create a folder within it that is password protected (in other words you have to enter a password to open that folder and see the bookmarks within)?

    Hello:
I do not know of a way to protect a single file.  However, you could consider encrypting your disk.  In that way, one would need your password to read any data:
