Can't create Christmas radio station.

I've created a Christmas radio station.  I've only added Christmas songs.  I might have about 25 examples.  I guess you con't tie down the genre or it can't learn the genre because every third song is not a Christmas song.  I don't know that theres a question here as much as I'm just putting this info out to see if others have similar issues.  It's seems to be a limitation of iTunes Radio.

The Genre of ALL the files in the playlist must be "Christmas" (or "Holiday") if you want to make a station based on Genre.
This won't affect what others have put in their playlists if you select a station from iTunes radio, but if you create your own, it will.

  • Can I create a radio station using the music in my iTunes library?

I have iTunes 12 installed on my 2014 MacBook Pro and late-2008 aluminium unibody MacBook.  My husband and I share the MacBook and he wants to access my iTunes library because his is empty.
A friend told me that the easiest way to do this in iTunes 12 is to create a radio station using my music in my iTunes library.  My iTunes music folder is just over 35GB in size (if that's relevant).  Almost all of the music (>95%) is from my CDs that I've copied into iTunes over the years.
I would be really grateful if someone could tell me how I go about doing this because I'm afraid that I haven't been able to find any instructions on just how I go about this.
    Cheers
    Tricia

Here are other ways to share your library but it only works if you're both on the same network: Enable Home Sharing under iTunes/File Menu and read the iTunes Help entry for Home Sharing for additional info. It will allow up to 5 computers on your network to play and download items from your iTunes Library. Alternatively, you can enable "Share My Library On My Local Network" under iTunes Preferences which allows up to 5 computers to play any content in your library but without the ability to download them.
I assume you keep your iTunes Library synchronized on both computers. If you have it also on the MacBook, this Apple support document will explain how to share your iTunes Library with multiple users on the same computer. This is by far the easiest and always available without using the network.

  • Can you create a radio station from a playlist

I can't find a way to do it withiut adding the tracks manually.  But it would be a nice feature if it doesn't exist.

I'm having exactly the same problem, with this station only. Anyone?

  • After a successful home button repair, I've got a buzzing sound when I make or receive calls. No problem with the speaker as I can listen to online radio stations and my music.

After a successful home button repair on my iPhone 4, I've got a buzzing sound when I make or receive calls. No problem with the speaker as I can listen to online radio stations and my music.

I guess your definition of a "successful repair" is different from most people's.
If you got it serviced by Apple, take it back to them.
If you had it serviced by a 3rd party, Apple won't touch it. Take it back to whoeever fixed it for you.

  • Can I create a new station from playlist?

I see that one can create a iTunes radio station from a song, or an artist. but what about a playlist? surely that is super easy to impliment? does the feature exist?

you can't edit a swf file with another swf file. you could
setup a main swf file to use a database (like xml or even mysql)
and you could create another swf that edits the database thereby
    changing what main swf displays.

  • Upgraded to Itunes 9 and can't get net radio stations

    Hi all,
I had recently upgraded to iTunes 9 and now I can not get a lot of my favorite net radio stations to play. I downloaded the latest software update for my iphone which was able to play streaming radio via Safari now won't play either. I went into "preference" then "advance" to change my buffer size to "Large" but I still can not get it playing.
When I click on a station, I get the dialog box that say..."Opening URL" and "Connecting" with the status bar looking like trying to download. After about 10 seconds or so, the dialog box goes away and it gives error code=3259.
I downloaded flip4mac, and Perian but problem persists. The radio I am trying is:

    Any comments would be appreciated.

I had this problem with the last update.
The solution that fixed mine was to rename the iPodDevices.xml file to something else with iTunes closed. When I restarted iTunes, a new one was created and my iPod was recognized again.
I found it in the AppData\Local\Apple Computer\iTunes folder. I renamed rather than deleted the old file in case it didn't work and I wanted to roll it back.
I hope this works for you.

  • How can you modify / customize radio stations like you can with Pandora?

Hi all, I'd like to customize radio stations to add artists, but the only option I'm seeing is to follow artists. Can you customize radio stations in Spotify like you can with Pandora? I didn't find anything on the boards for this. And also, how do you delete radio stations? I'm not finding Spotify to be very intuitive. Thanks in advance!

Totally agree...I am on the 30 day premuim trial and will cancel.  Why would I pay $10 a month for a piece a softwate that won't let me make basic modifications...like deleting a created radio station that I sdon't like or don't want attatched to my profile anymore. Rookie bull**bleep**.  You gotta do better to cmpete. You can always just not listen to that channel;  I keep adding new ones all the time. I admit it would me nice to be able to delete radio stations, but there are many other issues that need tackling first.  IMHO.  You're not paying for the software.  The radio feature is secondary to the extensive library.

  • How can I get a radio station that is not listed

Is there anyway to get a local radio station on Apple TV? They do stream live and I can get it using the TuneInRadio App on my iPhone.
Also is there an easy way to serach for a radio station by call sign or frequency?

    Thanks Brian,
I realize that there is no FM receiver or tuner in the Apple TV unit. But there are stations that broadcast over the air and stream over the web that are listed in the Radio Station on the Apple TV. I found one of my stations, WXPN 88.5, in the Eclectic Station list. I'd like to find my local NPR station, 88.1 WDIY or WVIA out of Scranton, that also streams thier programming. It would be helpful to be able to search for a station by it's call sign rather than having to scroll thru list after list of stations.
Is there a way to search for a particular station in Apple TV? Or add a streaming source that is not listed in the default stations?

  • Can i create conditional Radio Buttons?

I'm creating forms in Acrobat 9 Pro.
Does anyone know if it is possible to create conditional Radio Buttons that only need to be checked if a certain box or button from another group is checked?
For example: the first group of buttons might show the days of the week. If Tuesday was chosen a choice would need to be made from a further group of buttons (say a choice of time - 9am, 10am or 11am.). If any other day was chosen a different choice might be required or none at all.
    I hope this is clear.

  • How to create a radio station

How do you go about creating your own radio station in iTunes ?
    Dan

I assume you mean creating an Internet Radio station which is accessible to anyone?
    Here are some starting points:
    http://www.macinstruct.com/node/157
    http://www.methodshop.com/gadgets/tutorials/nicecast/
    http://www.shoutcheap.com/how-do-i-get-listed-on-itunes-radio/
    http://ddm.ace.ed.ac.uk/lectures/SD/Sound_environments/Lecture10/index.html
Note that if you are broadcasting to the public you cannot use commercially issued recordings unless you have full copyright clearance (which you will find difficult to get). Broadcasting copyrighted material could get you into legal hot water very quickly.
