Can't create connection to SAP BW in Desinger

I could connect to BW and see a lot of BW infocubes. And I created an universe  based on infocube
and created the webi reports and refreshed the reports. Everything looks ok.
Now I get the error message when I tried to create a connection to BW in BO designer.
The error message is " Err DBD: [BusinessObjects115.OLAP. BrowerObject.1] : SAP "
And connect to BW in CR is still ok.
Any advise appreciated.

I checked the license. i think  license for "BusinessObjects Enterprise Premium" should include Integration kit. it looks ok.
1) i can access infoview with SAP authentication , that means i can log on infoview with SAP user and password.
2) i can access BW in Crystal Report.
but now when i open the connection i created before , would like to check the objects in BW, i get error messae :
Error DBD:(BusinessObjects115.OLAPI.BrowseObject.1): SAP
I don't know what's wrong.

  • Can't create connection to SAP application server

    I use BusinessObjects Edge Series 3.0 (testing software). In Designer I am trying to create a new universe and first to create new connection (with wizard) to SAP (BW cube). I set all parameters that I use to connect with SAP GUI, but on testing the connection I get message "The server is not responding". What is wrong?
    Thanks,

  • Can I create connection pool by oracle oci driver?

    Can I create connection pool by oracle oci driver?My weblogic's version is 6.1 sp2 and oracle is 9.0.1.2.
    I have some trouble with connection pool created by weblogic jDriver.
    I try to read Timestamp from table and I always get the exception.It told me that ORA-00932: inconsistent datatypes.
    So I created another pool by oracle thin driver and everything was right.Then I created other pool by oracle oci driver,but something were wrong. 'Could not create pool connection. The DBMS driver exception was:java.sql.SQLException: ORA-06401: NETCMN:Invalid driver designator'
    The oci pool's parameters are below lines.
    url: jdbc:oracle:oci:@COCO
    Driver Classname: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
    Properties: user=scott;password=tiger;protocol=oci
    If I get connection directly,don't use connection pool,I can get right connection.But why didn't I create pool by oci driver?Maybe weblogic7 or weblogic8 will work good?

    create a conn pool using Oracle Oci.. Just the driverclass and url is enough
    or need any classpath settings etc..
    Thanks in advance for your quick reply.Hi. As far as driver properties, just use what Oracle says to. Any pool properties
    that we recommend for XA would still apply. Note that Oracle themselves recommends
    the thin driver over their OCI one:

  • Pairing Garmin with BT: Can't create connection: Input/output error

    I'm learning how to use BT in linux.  I have a Garmin and a CE device that has bluetooth capability.  Both are in discovery mode.
    Running "hcitool cc [macaddr]" to pair the Garmin looks promising, the Garmin receives the, well, transaction (what's this called?), and says the passkey is 1234.  However, I press OK on the Garmin, and it shows a second message that the connection failed.  Looking at my PC, I see this in the terminal:

  • Can't create MBO from SAP servers

    Hi,
    I'm trying to create MBO from SAP servers with Sybase Unwired WorkSpace.
    I created Connection Profile and it worked well(Ping succeeded!).

    Any ideas what is happening here?
    SAP version is below,

    NetWeaver: SAP EHP 2 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0
    OS: Windows NT 2x X86_64
    Sybase Unwired WorkSpace
    2.1.0
    Additionally, It worked well in SAP ECC 6.0.

    Eventually, the problem is resolved.
    It related SAP Note 706195.
    I did the Solution in the Note, all BAPI is displayed in Sybase Unwired WorkSpace's Enterprise Explorer.

    Hi Joe !
    I didn't get what you would like to point out. Actully, I am using same config.,
    but not to disclose the info. I gave you @test and username/password xxx/xxx.Ok. Now, assuming your pool looks like what I showed, the issue is probably
    that there are multiple Oracle driver zips around, and your standlaone program
    is using a different, newer, better one than the server. Our weblogic jar files
    include a classes12.zip Oracle thin driver, but there are multiple versions of
    classes12.zip, and the latest from oracle is better than the one we sealed into
    our packaging. Please use jave -verbose to identify exactly which Oracle sip file
    you are using in the successful case, then make sure this zip file comes before
    any weblogic stuff in your weblogic server's classpath, so we'll use the same
    driver. This should work. Edit the script you sue to start weblogic to verify
    the classpath does end up with the oracle driver ahead of all weblogic stuff.

    .MadhuriWell fine! That was easy. Your pool definition didn't have the same URL
    or
    user or password as this code. Try this for your pool definition:
    weblogic.jdbc.connectionPool.thin=\
    url=jdbc:oracle:thin:@adl-gbsdevel:1521:PROJECT,\
    driver=oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver,\
    initialCapacity=10,\
    maxCapacity=10,\
    capacityIncrement=1,\
    testConnsOnReserve=true,\
    testTable=dual,\
    props=user=mkelkar;password=mkelkar
    Let me know,,,

    Joseph Weinstein <[email protected]> wrote:
    The key is in the log:

    The DBMS driver exception was:
    java.sql.SQLException: invalid arguments in call
    at oracle.jdbc.dbaccess.DBError.throwSqlException(DBError.java:168)
    Now we need to simplify the problem. Please make a simple 15-line
    standalone
    Java program like you'd find with the Oracle driver's examples, with
    no
    weblogic code in the picture. Just make a JDBC connection using Oracle's
    driver, and show me that code. Then I can translate that into a pool
    definition.

  • Can't create Connection to Oracle Database

    Hi i'm trying to create a simple connection to my oracle database and my projects compiles, but at the "createConnection" statement an SQLException is thrown.
    Well first of all my stats:
    Windows XP 32 bit
    Visual Studio 2005 (VC++ 8)
    Oracle Database 10g Express Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0
    OCCI
    I have already included the "..\OCI\include" directory to my projects additional include directories, the path to the new OCCI dll's and lib's to my additional library dierctories and i have also included the "oraocci10d.lib" to my additional dependencies for the linker.
    Now here is the code i'm trying to run (it's just the code of an OCCI sample modified to my preferences):
    1 #include <stdlib.h>
    2 #include <occi.h>
    3 #include <iostream>
    4 using namespace oracle::occi;
    5 using namespace std;
    6
    7 int main () {
    8     //create environment and connection
    9     string user = "myUser";
    10     string pw = "myPW";
    11     string db = "localhost:1521/XE";
    12     Environment *env = Environment::createEnvironment(Environment::DEFAULT);
    13     Connection *conn = env->createConnection(user, pw, db);
    14     cout << "Environment and Connection created" << endl;
    15
    16     //execute a SQL statement
    17     Statement *stmt = conn->createStatement();
    18     stmt->setSQL("INSERT into FRUITS (fruit, amt) VALUES ('apple', 10)");
    19     stmt->executeUpdate();
    20     conn->terminateStatement(stmt);
    21
    22     //terminate environment and connection
    23     env->terminateConnection(conn);
    24     Environment::terminateEnvironment(env);
    25     cout << "Environment and Connection terminated" << endl;
    26
    27     return 0;
    28 }
    The code crashes at line 13, where i'm trying to create the connection.
    Visual Studio breaks and is giving the information, that an SQLException occured.
    I looked for the Error code given by the exception and it's 24960.
    Well i've found some threads working around that problem, but nothing worked properly to my problem.
    Can anyone help me out of my problem?
    Addition: I've already debugged the code and the pointer to the environment is good, so this possible cause of the exception (Null-Pointer) is out!
    Thanks for any advice!

    Well i've found a post at a similar thread, where somebody told to try to compile and run the project in release mode.
    Incredibly it works fine, but only for release mode as i told.
    The debug mode is still having the same problem...
    If somebody has an idea how to solve this problem please let me know!
    Thanks, olf77.

  • How can I create connection from rule author using WebDAV

    Dear Experts,
    I am implementing Rule-Based application. While creating Rule author I am facing a problem. Under Repository tab I can find two options, 1. WebDAV 2. FileBased. I want to know what I have to specify in the URL part when I choose Repository type as "WebDAV". Or else I need to install WebDAV in my local machine. Please suggest me.
    What is the WebDAV url to create rule author connection.
    Thanks,
    Rajesh

    Hi Rajesh,
    You would be following : steps of enabling the WebDAV directory which is specified in
    http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25221_03/web.1013/b15986/webdav.htm#CHDFHJGB
    Then created a directory called test_repository under ~Apache/htdocs folder : http://hostname:httpport/test_repository/
    Updated the moddav.conf file with below specified entry and restarted the HTTP server
    <Location /test_repository>
    DAV on
    ForceType text/plain
    </Location>
    Then, from the ruleauthor you should be able to connect to the WebDAV directory http://hostname:httpport/test_repository/
    Also, make sure that the Apache process can write to that WebDAV directory.
    Check the Apache's error_log to see what went wrong.
    Cheers

  • Can't create connection with Data Modeler 2.0.0 570

    I have installed SQL Developer Data Modeler on my Windows Vista Home Premium system and am unable to create a connection to import a Data Dictionary. When I select TNS from the connection type dropdown list , I get a message below that states: 'Warning ORACLE_HOME environment variable is not set'.
    This is odd, since I use SQL Developer daily on this same system with no issues. I have checked with regedit and the ORACLE_HOME environment variable is indeed set.
    Any ideas?

    I ran into a similar where Data Modeler was finding the TNSNAMES.ORA file for the older Oracle 8i client (which I have to keep installed because some older legacy software depends on it) rather than the 10g client. My solution was to make use of a suggestion for a simialr problem with SQL Developer and create a DOS "cmd" file in the "+<data modeler install dir>+\datamodeler" directory that sets the ORACLE_HOME environment variable to my 10g client directory and then runs "datamodeler.exe". My file is named "datamodeler.cmd" and contains the following two lines:
    SET ORACLE_HOME=C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\client_1
    start datamodeler.exe
